Doesn’t it seem like Successful people know something you don’t?

Have you ever noticed leaders look at life differently than the average population?

I’m not talking about just making a lot of money. I’m talking about real success. True happiness. What is the secret to success? What do other leaders know that you don’t?

If you’re the type of person, who knows you deserve more in life, I’d like to share what brought me to write the book, “How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader”

By the time I was 27 years old, I was the owner of several companies in various industries, including medical, fashion, manufacturing, distribution, and pharmaceuticals. I had become successful at a young age. Life was great!

Everything changed when I started having daily grand mal seizures. In 2010, I was diagnosed with brain cancer. Oncologists gave me only 60-90 days to live. I lost absolutely everything as I became unable to drive, live alone, or remember small details such as if I’d eaten or taken an insulin shot. Everything I had researched, the businesses I had built, and even my memory were gone.

My family took me to Tijuana, Mexico, to pursue alternative treatments. Uncertain whether I’d survive or not, I was inspired to make a difference in as many lives as possible.

I began contacting leaders I admired and asking questions. How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader is a compilation of true stories & conversations with entrepreneurs to help you in your journey to success.

Graham Joyce was a multiple award winning British author. He was born and grew up in the mining village of Keresley near Coventry. During his college holidays he worked variously as a fitters mate and an entertainer in a British holiday camp. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in education at Bishop Lonsdale college, an MA in English and American Literature at the University of Leicester and in 2004 was awarded a PhD in Creative Writing at Nottingham Trent University.
In 1988 he quit his job in international youth work and decamped to the Greek island of Lesbos, where he lived in a primitive beach shack with a colony of scorpions and feral cats, to concentrate on writing.
He sold his first novel, Dreamside, while living in Greece and travelled in the Middle East on the proceeds. He went on to write fourteen novels for adults, five young adult novels, and an autobiographical book about his experiences as goalie for the England Writers’ football team. He also wrote numerous short stories.
During his writing career Graham won many awards. His book The Facts of Life won the World Fantasy Award for best novel. He was also six-times winner of the British Fantasy Award for Best Novel; twice winner of the French Grand Prix De L’Imaginaire; and the winner of the prestigious O Henry award for his short story ‘An Ordinary Soldier of the Queen.’ His sporting memoir Simple Goalkeeping made spectacular was shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year and the British Sports Book Awards: Best New Writer 2010. In 2008 he was awarded the Honorary degree of Master of Letters by the University of Derby.
He continued to write and teach creative writing at Nottingham Trent University until his death in 2014 at the age of 59. He was survived by his wife Suzanne and his children Ella and Joe.
