Everything But the Truth
About Everything But the Truth
In 1900, women couldn’t vote, drink in public, or speak their minds outside of their homes. Most women anyway, but one thing for sure, Margaret Rose Nolan, wasn’t most women. Born into north Appalachian’s piedmont, she knew what she wanted, and it wasn’t to live in the backwoods of Alabama surrounded by poverty and ignorance. She didn’t care what women were supposed to do or what others thought of her; she followed a single-minded purpose — create opportunities for the things she desired. If getting what she wanted required manipulating men, then that was too bad for them. It wasn’t her fault men liked her, but she used it and used it well. In those days, women called her a Jezebel. She called them ignorant. She moved from moonshine to champagne, from rowboats to cruise ships, from foolish foothill suitors to society’s elite, usually at the expense of others, even her own children.

Old man held captive and forced to type by two dark angels who wait outside the office door. A family curse, Pat Conroy was my cousin. He's the most famous of our brood, but plenty of the others feel compelled to write, without success I might add. I took all my books off Amazon so I can clean them up, re-write, and relaunch with more success. If it weren't for those demons waiting just outside, I would have stopped all this key pecking long ago. I guess this Bio thing should be peppy. Well, I don't feel peppy, COVID making me feel like a hermit. I hope those dark angels go to the Golden Corral and get infected. I actually do have other books. They are being uploaded gradually. But you will have forgotten this when you click to the next page, so Vaya con Dios, stay safe and keep reading.

The King’s Daughter
About The King’s Daughter
Wales 1294 . . . a hated English king, a country in violent rebellion against him, and a teenager from Virginia Beach badly out of her depth.
Megan Lynch is Welsh history loving fish out of water. Having fallen in with some bad company following the death of her Navy SEAL father, she is packed off to a new school in a new country.
“Go stay with your grandmother in Wales, it’ll keep you out of trouble,” her mother had declared.
In her mom’s defense, she could never have predicted the events that unfolded in the ruins of Flint Castle that afternoon. She certainly wouldn’t have known about the strange Welshman or the pendant he gave Megan. Even then, if it hadn’t been for the encounter with a local bully, Megan might still be wandering around the ruins of a thirteenth century castle, instead of a fully functioning medieval one.
Her striking similarity to the king’s daughter is initially her saving grace, but the inability to speak Norman French arouses suspicions, and she knows her luck cannot last.
Thankfully, help is at hand in the shape of handsome young knight’s squire named Hugh, who has a secret of his own.
Their friendship grows as they attempt to survive the journey through an oppressed medieval Wales in the throes of a rebellion. It is a world of chainmail, crossbows, lynch mobs and burning towns. There are compensations though; unpolluted air, stunning scenery, imposing stone castles in their full splendor, and Hugh . . .
Megan will need to rely on her wits, along with some self-defense skills, courtesy of her dad. But with a dollop of luck and a little help from allies encountered along the way, perhaps she can make it back to her everyday world of Snapchat, Instagram, and Same-Day Delivery; then again, will she want to?

Northern Awakening: The Evolution of Consciousness by Brian C. Watts
About Northern Awakening: The Evolution of Consciousness by Brian C. Watts
There has been a secret and sacred knowledge that has been hidden from mankind for centuries. Advanced ancient cultures based their civilizations around a technology for expanding consciousness and connecting with the universal energy field that underlies everything. The technology has been hidden within plain sight within every major religion on earth. The author recounts an extraordinary encounter with what has been described as the evolutionary energy of man (kundalini) that leads to expanded consciousness, spiritual knowledge, mystical vision, psychic abilities and eventually to enlightened states. It has been foretold by ancient texts that this energy will become widespread in the modern age as the world undergoes a mass awakening. The author undertakes the monumental task of piecing together the history and science of this energy in the hopes of providing some guidance to those undergoing the same awakening experience that often begins simply with a strong desire to know the truth.

Author Bio:
I came to America in 1954. My mother and I left a small town near Heidelberg, Germany, and traveled to Little Rock, Arkansas; she a war bride with her handsome Lieutenant, and I, a little girl with my new father.
In Germany, I played in castle ruins with my cousins and swam with tiny fish and lily pads in the Neckar River, which flowed past my grandparents’ home. In Arkansas, those memories were replaced with playing in dusty ditches, visiting snake farms, catching fireflies in the moonlight amidst the smell of jasmine, and watching my new father grow watermelons so big they required shelves for support.
My biological father flew with the Luftwaffe in WWII, and later, as I grew up in this great country, I came to understand that he had been the enemy America fought against. Until I reached my late twenties, I seldom spoke about my German heritage.
War affects us throughout generations, I realized. It’s the closest thing to hell on earth that I can imagine. Living through the Vietnam War gave personal attestation to that.
There must be better ways to process when conflict arises. Destruction can never be the answer; the toll is too great. Let us find a path toward the light, toward peaceful coexistence.
My work with substance abuse/addiction affirmed every life has value; my work with the incarcerated and the judicial system verified that injustice for one is injustice for all; and my work with children confirmed resilience, trust, and hope are the cornerstones of every human relationship.
I live in Florida with a wonderful man, have three children I am proud to call my own, and four happy grandchildren.
