I have always been what you can call a great enthousiast about the Second World War Era. I also have a university major in History and i will let you guess what most of my studies were concentrating on at the time.

I am also an avid wargamer. I have always been kind of un-satisfied about the gaming / wargaming aspect in the sense that its only a game, there is no storytelling. Hence this book, playing like your best wargame but with a lot of details.

I have been on and off writing for the last 30 years, but finally, i decided to start publishing some of my works. Now i am eager to share with you all the great stories i have in store for this alternate version of the Second World War.

If the demand is there eventually i might even post some of the other works (short stories and essays) ive done.

SUMMARY
TUNNELS, THE WHITE HOUSE
A United States treaty, giving Georgia to the Cherokee Indian, had been irretrievably broken. The Cherokee Nation was moved to Oklahoma in 1838. 16,000 Indians lost a quarter of their Tribe.
Almost one hundred years later, a young Cherokee is determined to reclaim the Peace Pipe used to make the bogus Treaty and to return it to the Cherokee Nation as a reminder of their suffering. The Peace Pipe now rested at the Smithsonian Museum and it would be necessary for Mohe, the descendant of this brave Tribe, to leave the Reservation for the first time to retrieve it. This would be far from an easy task.
The opportunity comes in a letter accepting his application for employment at the White House. He packed very little; his Spirit Guide given to him by his grandfather placed on top. The small carved owl stares at him expectantly. Mohe knew it was superstitious. Christianity had become the Faith of the Cherokee, but it was his only treasure to remind him of his grandfather.
Within walking distance of the museum, the first task is to find the tunnel leading directly there. He had read of such tunnels, and he banks on finding one, the only way to reach his goal. With the help of new friends, and meeting challenges of a strange culture, the tunnel is found.
Mohe begins to experience a strange dream. Each time, the dream would start from the beginning and adding a snippet before his waking. A white owl was taking him on a journey. Mohe struggles with its meaning.
Once the Peace Pipe is repossessed, Mohe struggles with two burning questions—should the pipe be returned and should he pursue a relationship with the doe-eyed Effie, a housekeeper who clearly is taken with him.
It’s Christmas Eve and a party for the Staff and their children is being given by President Hoover and his wife. Mohe is connecting the dream to his choice of keeping or returning the Peace Pipe. He prays and listens to his heart. He returns the pipe to the museum. Relief washes over him. Now to address the connection with Effie.
Sharing thoughts and feelings openly, Mohe and Effie agree the mixing of two cultures would be difficult and, perhaps, may be acceptable in the distant future, but certainly not now. Mohe resigns his position to attend college with hope for taking his Veterinarian degree back to help his people.
