Synopsis

The British Secret Intelligence Service, holds vital information about a paramilitary organisation code-named the Goose Gang. This is an evil syndicate, created by four former Nazi officers who have aligned themselves with a Communist faction and amassed massive wealth and power.
A British agent stole a vital list from the Goose Gang, which would bring down their whole organisation. The list identified hundreds of bank accounts used by them. When the agent was found murdered early on Christmas morning in a Paris field, the list had been taken from him.
Back in England, Secret Service agent Guy Trent had been called in to MI6 Headquarters for a meeting with his superiors. The agent murdered in Paris was Simon Carter, Trent’s wartime commander and best friend.
Trent, a former commando, fought for his country in the War; he was still fighting for his country in the Cold War. The assassination of his friend and colleague had increased his value as an agent, and now his country had urgent need of his services.
Trent’s first stop was Paris and the scene of his colleague’s murder. Somehow, the enemy knew of his movements and he had an eventful Channel crossing, when two of their agents encountered him on board ship.
Although he handled the situation with ease, Trent understood that someone had betrayed him. There was further evidence of this when two other attacks were launched on him when he arrived in Paris. The outcome of those attacks made the enemy aware that Trent was a formidable opponent, who must die.
He had other plans; he would seek out Carter’s murderer and the person who betrayed him.
Assisted by other agents, Trent captures one of the four leaders of the Goose Gang in a Paris hotel. The man is flown to MI6 Headquarters for “deep interrogation”, he would never rise again.
The hunt for the list takes him to Tuscany and the historical city of Florence. Whilst there, he teams up with fellow MI6 agent Tom Masters.
Masters informs him that they have another mission connected with the Goose Gang, the rescue of a kidnapped Italian scientist. To do this Trent will have to break into the Gang’s villa stronghold.
Trent and Masters team up with other agents to plan the extraction of the kidnapped scientist. There are many obstacles standing in heir way, and Trent loses another friend during the raid on the villa.
He enlists the help of CIA agent Plummer in his search for the man who betrayed Carter; he has no doubt that this same person is now in Florence too.
An urgent communique from Trent’s section director, Monk, explains to him the true atrocity of the Goose Gangs plan. European leaders would be given an ultimatum which, if ignored, would see the face of western Europe change forever. Monk informs Trent that he has three days to end this threat and destroy the Goose Gang.
Intelligence suggests that the head of the Goose Gang, Udo Koschmider, would be arriving at Florence Airport. Agents were waiting at the airport but the wily Koschmider had arrived via Pisa; he had gone from there to his property in the countryside of Tuscany. Trent follows and lays his plans for the destruction of Koschmider and his evil plan.
Trent finds Koschmider’s factory and villa as he scours the countryside, but he is picked up by two Germans masquerading as local policemen. Whilst being escorted to the police station, Trent uses his Jeep as a weapon against the fake police car. The resulting collision sends the car through a crash barrier and down into a flooded quarry.
Having found twelve trucks in Koschmider’s warehouse, Trent locates the deadly cargo set to be delivered to twelve European countries. He must make sure that does not happen. Acting alone, he sets about disabling the trucks to prevent them leaving on their mission of death at 5.00 the next morning.
His final act, is to avenge the killing of his friend Carter and terminate the traitor. Alone once more he makes his way to the country villa, not knowing what fresh horrors await him there. His only plan is to keep moving until he completes his mission.

Larry Igbon, was born, raised and still lives in Manchester, England.
He developed a passion for composition, as a grammar-school student. His teachers encouraged his love of writing, which he continued to refine throughout his educational years.

His other desires, at grammar school were: French, history, physics and chemistry. He participated in the school swimming club and the boxing team. He won four regional boxing championships and fought in the All-England semi-finals.
By the time he left grammar school, he was captain of the boxing team and the swimming club.

His four-year-old son, insisted that Larry tell him bedtime stories every night. But not for him the usual tales, he wanted different stories. This was the point at which Larry created a character specially for young Alan. The character was an English schoolboy, living in France during World War Two. Alan liked exciting stories, so Billy Thompson’s War was born.

The stories featured the boy’s adventures, helping the French Resistance fight the occupying German soldiers. There were many recurring characters featured in the stories and Larry recorded all of their names, and specialities. He kept these details in a notebook, along with plot details and missions. He found that outlining his stories ahead of time, made it easier for him to deal with his son’s questions. Alan was content to listen, fascinated with everything that Billy Thompson experienced.

By the time his son had outgrown bedtime stories, a year and a half later, Larry had notebooks full of short stories and drawings.
Years later, he did consider publishing the stories, but Alan assured him that little boys are not interested in war stories these days.

For many years, Larry worked for Her Majesty’s Government. He has also been a Financial Planning Consultant, a Mortgage Adviser and more recently, he headed up the insurance department of a local charity.

Larry holds a third Dan grade in Shotokan Karate, and he was a martial arts instructor for many years.
He was a scuba diver for several years, and earned his qualifications at his local sub-aqua club.

In addition to writing, he enjoys: reading, theatre, High Intensity Interval Training, Tabata training, swimming, cycling and playing guitar.
The books he prefers to read are action stories and crime thrillers. He also likes to write in this genre.

He recently completed his new spy novel, Project G.
