Clone City is a thriller that narrates the story of a city called Joypolis whose inhabitants believe it is the last civilized outpost of humankind. It is the of a series of seven in The Joypolis Series.
The story begins at the time when Joypolitans believe they have overcome all the challenges of their turbulent past. In a world devastated by the impact of asteroids, they believe their survival was thanks to a single act of monumental importance – the decision to clone.
Three hundred years earlier, the scientists who founded the settlement decided they had to clone to avoid extinction. They argued that only by doing so could they create a workforce large enough to transform their settlement into a bright, modern city. Only this, they argued, would bring joy back into the hearts of a population that was failing to reproduce.
As the number of clones would far exceed their own, they thought it best to separate them from ‘true’ human by conditioning them for the duties they would perform. Combining ground-breaking advances in how language is processed in the brain with a program of indoctrination, they create a compliant labour force.
The repercussions of this act are about to unravel in a way that no one could have foreseen. First, the dismembered arm of a clone is discovered. Second, the murder of a high-ranking politician. A deconstructing clone is arrested, but the Head of Security fears something far, far worse…

Author Bio:
I’ve taught English to kids, English as a foreign language and linguistics to university students. I’m working part-time now and I’m happy to say that gives me time to write. I was born in Plymouth, England, and, like my dad who was in the navy, I’ve done a fair bit of travelling. Presently, I live in Japan near the ocean. Dragon Tomb is the first book of a history/science fiction pentalogy, The Last Resistance. It tells a story of a young Chinese archaeologist who saves the world from Armageddon during World War II.

Archaeologist Chuan-Jay Hoo grows up in the Village of Longevity, Southeast China. In 1937, he returns to defend his country against Japanese invasion right after receiving his PhD from Boston University.

Two years later, Chuan-Jay is captured in a behind-enemy-lines rescue mission. As a POW, he is forced to take part in the excavation of the tomb of the mythical First King of China in the Dragon Mountains.

Unexpectedly, this top-secret tomb raid is violently defeated by a ruthless killing force sealed within the tomb. Astonished by their alien-like fire power, Chuan-Jay begs them to fight for the freedom of China, but they refuse, citing a more pressing mission to accomplish.

Eighteen months later, Chuan-Jay teams up with an American adventurer and archaeologist, Dr. Harry Jones, who taught archaeology in Connecticut. The duo return to the tomb and successfully convinces the guardians of the tomb to come out and fight for China. With the help of those guardians, the Allies prepare for an all-out counter offense to end the war in Pacific by the spring of 1944. However, the subsequent changes of events catch everyone on Earth by surprise. Neither the Allies nor the Axis find themselves winning the war. Before long, Chuan-Jay stands alone in the tomb of the First King again, as the last line of resistance for the survival of mankind.
