Author Bio:
Christy Nicholas, also known as Green Dragon, has her hands in many crafts, including digital art, beaded jewelry, writing, and photography. In real life, she’s a CPA, but having grown up with art all around her (her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother are/were all artists), it sort of infected her, as it were. She loves to draw and to create things. She says it’s more of an obsession than a hobby. She likes looking up into the sky and seeing a beautiful sunset, or seeing a fragrant blossom or a dramatic seaside. She takes a picture or creates a piece of jewelry as her way of sharing this serenity, this joy, this beauty with others. Sometimes this sharing requires explanation – and thus she writes. Combine this love of beauty with a bit of financial sense and you get an art business. She does local art and craft shows, as well as sending her art to various science fiction conventions throughout the country and abroad.

Al Macy writes because he has stories to tell. In school he was the class clown and always the first volunteer for show and tell. His teachers would say “Al has a lot of imagination.” Then they’d roll their eyes.
But he put his storytelling on the back burner until he retired and wrote a blog about his efforts to improve his piano sight-reading. That’s when his love of storytelling burbled up to the surface, along with quirky words like “burble.”
He had even more fun writing his second book, Drive, Ride, Repeat, but was bummed by non-fiction’s need to stick to “the truth” (yucko). From then on it was fiction all the way, with a good dose of his science background burbling to the surface.
Macy’s top priority is compelling storylines with satisfying plot twists, but he never neglects character development. No, wait … his top priority is quirkiness, then compelling storylines, then character development. No, wait …

I started writing at a very young age, and was greatly encouraged by my teachers at school. One of my English teachers used to wade through the stack of papers that students would submit for writing assignments. She would find mine, and always read it first. That had a huge effect on me.
Now I am supported by family and friends who read my writings and leave me feedback.
I don’t seem to stick to a particular genre, but write the stories that I would want to read.
I hope you enjoy my efforts.
What Lies in the Sea (#3 in the Josh Baker and Eddie Debord Series
About What Lies in the Sea (#3 in the Josh Baker and Eddie Debord Series
The year was 1715—A Treasure Fleet comprised of eleven Spanish ships and one French vessel was blown onto the reefs off of the east-central coast of Florida by a massive hurricane. Eleven of the twelve vessels were dismasted, broken like kindling and sent to the seafloor in less than twenty feet of water. Fast-forward to 1973, Captain Henderson and his mate, Butch Dawson, while on a dreadful nighttime run to the reef, inadvertently locate some well-preserved ribs of a sixteenth century vessel off the coast of Cape Canaveral. Between those heavy wooden beams lay a kings fortune. The trouble for Henderson and Dawson began immediately and the treasure recovery had to wait—for forty-five more years. Leap ahead to current day, Josh Baker, Giselle O’Connor and Eddie Debord are rolling south in Eddies fully restored VW Bus. After repairing a small issue with an accelerator cable, they met a young man with a story—a story from 1973. A tale of treasure made credible by his possession of a single gold Spanish Escudo left for him by his grandfather. The action begins and never stops in this fast-paced land and sea treasure hunt adventure. The friends are relentlessly pursued by a couple of blundering criminals as well as the Casino controlling, Florida Mafia, who wants a piece of their action as well. Josh, Eddie and their new friends can seemingly never catch a break as they try to help locate and recover the lost cargo they have signed rights to excavate…but as always, it seems others don’t play by the rules!

Exposing Deeds of Darkness – Becoming non-attached to that which teaches non-attachment by Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo
About Exposing Deeds of Darkness – Becoming non-attached to that which teaches non-attachment by Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo
What was presented to the world about Tibetan Buddhism, actions and intentions to benefit all sentient beings, and holy men in crimson robes committed to peace, seemed to be a good fit, in 1992, for the authors’ personalities, altruism, and their continuous uplifting of others. Until, that is, the dark underbelly of Tibetan Buddhism tried to swallow them.
Many previous authors have written about the harm done by Tibetan ‘Lamaism’ (known as Buddhism), and the hidden agenda behind the Dalai Lama’s message of Wisdom, Compassion and Love, but in this memoir the Rubbos bring an urgency to their testimony, updating other’s warnings with their personal experiences.
It was the hand of God, the authors came to realize, that plucked them out in November of 2006, and it has taken them more than ten years to write this exposé on the violent roots of Lamaism, which is a cult of priest-worship founded on the shamanic, indigenous sorcery of Bön, and the subjugating tantric sex rituals of Hinduism, lightly covered over by a veneer of Buddhism. All of these characteristics of Tibetan Lamaism/Buddhism are still in play today, and has created great harm in the world. The testimony in this book aims to rectify this by shining the light of Truth upon the darkness.
Testimony by victims of the sexual abuse by Vajrayana teachers, both Tibetan and Western, is exploding, but other types of abuse are being ignored. Psychological abuse is rampant also, and is based on the sociopathic guru/student relationship in Vajrayana Lamaism. Trauma based mind-control is used by many Tibetan and Western teachers, along with thought and emotion projection, dream penetration (spiritual rape), and multiple teachings on how leaving your teacher or breaking samaya will bring the student to the hell realms forever.
In Lamaism, there is also ritual harm, intentional pujas and rituals done to control and manipulate the students, one deity they use is Kurukulle. Ritual harm is just as harmful as the other forms of abuse, but no one is talking about this. If the lamas believe that doing prayers, pujas, empowerments etc, to get desired results such as ‘world peace’ and ‘liberating sentient beings’ is effective and manifests in reality, they also believe that doing these to control others and harm their ‘enemies’ (other people!) is also effective.
It’s time to widen the discussion of all forms of abuses in Lamaism, and stop all the harm to innocents.

Rat-tail Curves by James Ostby
About Rat-tail Curves by James Ostby
Throughout the rise of humankind we have always faced new horizons. The humanoids in the next forest or the the Neanderthals in the nearby cave, . . . . The land of other Homo sapiens across the river, or the mysterious country on the far side of the mountain range. What about the reports of even more far-away lands, and of terra firma beyond the oceans great?
And what if, because of a vast increase in total (real, objective and scientific) knowledge–and a decline amongst many people in the belief in myths, spirits, souls, and so on—some of us have arrived at a point in human exploration and advancement where there is no more? No farther land to discover, no other planets to inhabit (and if there were, no way to get there), and no more great scientific and industrial discoveries to be made. No more because of the inherent physical, intellectual, cultural, and evolutionary limits on us all, worldwide.
Furthermore, imagine the obvious: that while scientists, researchers, and their like, have worked wonders, here we are where many of the beneficiaries of those wonders have become burdens. Is this our direction from now on? Probably, but so far only a gifted few are aware of the direction; and even if more become aware, there will never be enough of the enlightened. Far too many are just plain dumb. Not intelligent enough to help better the world in any significant way, or to govern themselves through any knowledgeable and rational system. Perhaps they lack the mentality to even realize underlying world problems and their causes, much less to try to ameliorate them. (The doomsday clock, for example.)

He and his wife, Donna, and their two young daughters, returned to the farm in 1977, where the long, cold winters and the isolation provided the perfect writing environment.
