Author Bio:
SD Tanner has a lifelong interest in all things supernatural and apocalyptic and enjoys complex personalities dealing with difficult situations. With this interest, the Hunter Wars series has combined Tanner’s personal enthusiasm for people and the mysterious to create a world and characters that never stop evolving.

As an expert in helping organisations and people change, Tanner has lived in many countries, explored different cultures and developed a blended view of how people behave and what we enjoy in life.

Tanner mostly enjoys a quiet life, a favoured cat called Mousey and, for no reason they understand, is a keen gym junkie. Otherwise, if you met Tanner, you would not know they write. In fact, Tanner is a little shy about that and only asks that you enjoy the books as they have been written with you, the reader, in mind.

The Wachuga Project

cover43About The Wachuga Project:

Jeremy Barnard appears to be a normal kid. He’s good looking, well-mannered, from an affluent family, has even earned valedictorian of his class. A perfect recipe for success. Then why is his life one, big, epic fail? Because every time he tries to speak, a complete and utter mess comes out. School life is hell, with Jeremy’s Neanderthal peers mocking him at every turn. To make matters worse, his father affords him little relief at home. Francis cringes with disgust every time his son ‘st..st..stutters’, cursing the powers above for burdening him with such a defective little boy.

Jeremy longs for a normal life. He’d give anything for the ability to socialize at a party, or tell his high school crush, Samantha, that she’s beautiful… give everything to earn his father’s respect and no longer be a laughing stock. But is Jeremy willing to give his soul?

Little does Jeremy know, his salvation lies in Calvin Ortiz, a hot-headed, maniacal thug who stumbles upon something extraordinary while hiking with his brother in the jungles of Costa Rica – a plant… a beautiful, vibrant green plant teeming with delicate, fuzzy flowers that look good enough to eat. And that’s exactly what Calvin does. His knees buckle from the God-like metamorphosis that overtakes him. This is better than any drug he’s ever tried, and Calvin’s gold tooth glints in the sun as visions of dollar signs dance in his head. But this stuff’s too good to sling on his local street corner. Nah, the black market won’t do. The Wachuga, as he names it, deserves more respect than that. In a moment of stoned clarity, Calvin contacts the one person he knows with enough connections to turn his discovery into some serious bank.

And with that one phone call, The Wachuga Project is born, and Jeremy’s life, for good or ill, will never be the same. Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for…

A Friend Request by C. L. Gillmore

Jake Richardson long ago abandoned his dream for a creative, professional life in the city and, instead, settled into a routine existence on his rural Illinois family farm. Though now in a dispassionate marriage, he does manage to find joy and purpose with his two teenaged sons, close-knit community, and friends. But, one Friend Request changes everything.

The name Rose Allison, popping up on his computer screen, fills him with vivid memories of a powerful bond, forged amidst the heat of 1960s politics, culture, and music. Her simple message opens up a fresh world of opportunity for them both as technology shrinks their geographical and emotional distance. They regain a chance to heal individual and mutual demons, and potentially rekindle the passion and fulfillment so many people only dream about with their first love.

Author Bio:
Award winning novelist, poet, and Iowa native, C. L. Gillmore lived most of her childhood in Muscatine, a small, picturesque town nestled along the banks of the Mississippi River. Her heartfelt poetry and detailed story lines often reflect her Midwest roots.

“I weave the details of what I know best into my writing. I remember hot summer nights along the Mississippi, and crisp autumn mornings waiting for the school bus; small-town football games, Homecoming dances, and the smell of mum corsages; former teachers and students, friends and lovers; local bands, music, rock festivals, and drugs; campus riots, assassinations, and war protests. These day-to-day, remembered details, breathe life into a character, and lend credibility to setting and storyline.”

Contingency

product_thumbnailAbout Contingency:

The year is 2040 and America is in economic, political and social turmoil. The economy is unraveling, there are no jobs, many citizens are suffering from the effects of substance abuse since most narcotics have now been made legal. The political establishment is corrupt and broken, so devoid of leadership that there is no one to guide the country out of the crisis. Such is the view of the future provided by Legacy in the year 2007.

Legacy, a high tech fortune teller of sorts, is a product of the National Security Agency and consists of highly sophisticated and very powerful computer modeling software developed at MIT in cooperation with NSA, software that runs on a modern version of the supercomputer. Designed solely for the purpose of predicting the future of the United States of America, indeed, Legacy is a high tech, twenty-first century version of the crystal ball.

Alarmed at Legacy’s depiction of the future, President Michael Hart tasks his National Security Team to find solutions to the coming crisis that he can implement today. One of those solutions asks the question—What if one of America’s greatest leaders from her past could be reproduced through the process of human reproductive cloning and could be set upon a path that would make him available to guide the country out of the crisis? Imagine, the greatest leadership in the history of the nation available just at the moment it is needed most.

Enter Doctor Tom Davis a world renowned geneticist and physician practicing in Phoenix Arizona and the country’s foremost authority on the subject of human reproductive cloning. Tom’s practice, eXgen Incorporated, is focused on reproductive medicine—primarily infertility treatment— because that’s what pays the bills and is what makes possible the research that is his real passion.

All is well at eXgen until Tom receives a mysterious email from a former grad school roommate who is now employed by the National Institutes of Health. The government has something up its sleeve and Tom is fearful of what that might be and what he may be asked to do.

Spirits — Book 4 of The Witching Hour Saga.

Having been born four months early, Hunter Blackburn spent his childhood on the outside looking in as his family went on without him. A spirit in the heavens, Hunter chose to grow up, then began visiting his family shortly after the birth of his younger brother, Quinn. But spirits were never meant to interact with humans on Earth and once he makes his presence known to his little brother and sister, and his parents, he comes to the attention of the Fates and the three Elders.

Now twenty years old, Hunter is sent to Earth for two weeks as a human in order to learn a lesson — that no good can come from being around humans and he needs to appreciate his life in the heavens where he will remain. But the lesson he is to learn becomes skewed as he finds his soul mate, the older sister of his brother’s wife. Chelsea Lawrence makes his heart race whenever she’s near and soon it’s obvious they are meant to be together. Then Chelsea’s grandfather, a powerful being in his own right, strikes a bargain: Marry my granddaughter and I will see that you remain on Earth with your family as a human.

For Hunter, it’s the answer to a prayer but how is he going to convince Chelsea to marry him? Turns out, it’s easier then he imagined and he and Chelsea are soon wed in a supernatural ceremony. But as the end of Hunter’s two weeks draws near, evidence that his early birth was a mistake begins to surface and suddenly, everything he’s always known and believed has become mixed up until a strange twist of fate threatens to destroy the lives of everyone he holds dear. With time running out, Hunter soon realizes that the only way to stop the coming disaster is for him to sacrifice his own happiness to insure that of those he loves.

The Politics of Murder

Politics-of-Murder-coverAbout The Politics of Murder:

The Politics of Murder explores the greed inherent in man and the disregard for consequences. A good man accommodates assassination on behalf of his country.

Scientists developed nuclear fuel, but not an acceptable waste removal system. So, we find that countries with a disposal problem, export to a clandestine dump in Australia.

Part 1 – The Dump

Ex US President Gerald Adams incorporates a company called Guarna Limited to solve the world’s nuclear waste problem.

With the help of Adam Hunter, the Australian Prime Minister, and his Secretary to PM and cabinet, Conrad Halladay, Guarna builds a waste facility in Western Australia to take the waste without the knowledge of the Government or the Australian people.

General Orson Griffin sets up a clandestine mercenary force in New South Wales to protect Guarna’s interests.

He takes orders from Conrad Halladay, who enlists the services of the assassin, Tom Fraser.

Detective Sergeants Dan Brennan and Mac Mclean are dispatched to find the murderers of two policemen in Western Australia.

They enlist the services of the aboriginal tracker Mungawah.

After they kill two mercenaries who attacked them, Dan discovers the dump.

They report the location to the Federal police.

Conrad Halladay the Prime Minister’s Secretary sends assassins to kill Dan, Mac, and Mungawah.

Dan and Mac kill the team sent to murder them, and steal the chopper. They fly to South Australia and submerge the helicopter in St Vincent’s Gulf.

After putting in place protection for their families on Dan’s parent’s farm, they travel to Canberra and unmask the perpetrators.

The mercenaries attack the farm, but Dan and his colleagues defeat them.

The newspapers and TV news carries the story to the Australian people.

Prime Minister Adam Hunter resigns. Paige Fisher, his deputy, replaces him. Conrad Halladay and his lover escape to the US.

Part 2 – Punishment

The new PM expresses her disappointment at the countries that exploited Australia and supported the nuclear dump. She orders the secret agencies to discover the leaders to punish them.

The US President contacts her and offers concessions.

Dan and Mac capture Tom Fraser in the bush.

Dan takes a job at a nuclear power plant in California. His team of Mac, and a new agent, Tracy Ward discovers the company involved is called Guarna.

Dan learns waste is hidden in receptacles inside shipping containers and loaded on a vessel bound for South America now the Australian plant is closed.

Tracy, Mac, and Dan, locate a list of people involved in sending waste to Australia. One is, Gerald Adams, an ex-US President.

The new PM orders ASIO and ASIS to kill the leaders. However, she instructs them not to touch Gerald Adams.

Dan and Tracy fall in love and move in together.

Dan kills Conrad Halladay.

Mac kills Myron Shaddack, the US leader of Guarna.

Kill teams assassinate Guarna leaders in Russia, Britain, Japan, France, and Germany.

The PM sanctions a kill order on Gerry Adams, after she is convinced it can’t be traced to Australia.

Dan persuades Tom Fraser to fake suicide, to get him out of jail, and sends him to the US to kill Gerry Adams.

The outrage about Adams’ death is tremendous.

Tom Fraser travels to Norfolk Island where his family waits.

Dan races to Norfolk Island and warns Fraser his location is known. The CIA arrives, but Fraser kills the agent.

Fraser leaves for Europe with his family.

The Unannounced Christmas Visitor

cover6_3About The Unannounced Christmas Visitor:

What if angels really did come from the most unlikely of places? That’s exactly what happens in this heartwarming story set in Anywhere USA. Sent to Planet Earth by his Maker, disguised as a homeless person, Enoch was on a mission: to rescue a man whose life was slowly but steadily spiraling out of control.

Up until seven months ago, John Jensen was a responsible, churchgoing, happily married man and father of two. Then the slow fade began and John went from living life passionately to questioning everything he once thought important, deeming much of it utterly meaningless.

The only place his wife, Lydia, could go to escape her ongoing marital struggles was the church she attended the past seventeen years. But even there it seemed her desperate cries to God for help always went unanswered. That is, until Enoch appeared one Sunday morning, hair unkempt, wearing ragged clothing.

To Lydia’s great dismay, the old man was mocked and ridiculed by so many of her fellow believers, ultimately banished to the last row of the sanctuary simply because of his untidy appearance. One week later, after church service, Lydia and her two children, Matthew and Grace, spotted the old man walking to the city park where he lived among many other homeless people.

Later that night, Lydia felt God’s strong urging to introduce herself to the man she still did not know had been sent as her Christmas miracle. In the days following her first visit to the homeless community in which the old man served as spiritual mentor, Lydia and her two children learned more about what it means to be true servants of God than she did in seventeen years at her church.

But with John Jensen being Enoch’s chief reason for coming to Planet Earth, would the severely depressed, apathetic man submit to the pulling of God’s Holy Spirit, or was he already too far gone to be rescued?

This story will greatly challenge all who read it…

This is Patrick Higgins’ third Christian novel. His first two are “The Pelican Trees” and “Coffee In Manila”. Like the first two books, this story was a labor of love in that Higgins shines a bright light on the many perils of homelessness and the steady decline of dedicated Christ followers in the world today. Higgins believes the only way for true, sustainable revival to ever take place in the world is if the church gets its house in order. Bottom line: Christians need to be who they say they are in Christ. Hence, this timely story.

Higgins is currently writing many other books, both fiction and non-fiction, and plans to release two new books in 2015, Lord willing.

After living for years on a small ranch in Colorado with a herd of goats, a spoiled horse, a llama named Tina, and assorted other creatures, they moved to Houston, TX where they now try to avoid the heat and humidity by living most of the summer in the pool.

Rebecca is the author of two children’s books, five novels, a writing resource guide, and numerous stories and articles for children for both print and online magazines. She is now working on a series of romance novellas all centered around reunions.

When she isn’t writing, Rebecca loves to date her handsome husband, play with her energetic children, swim in the ocean, eat too much Dove dark chocolate, and dance to disco music while she cleans the house.
