I am a slightly off the wall author and my novel The Magdalene Conspiracy, a religious mystery/thriller in the style of Dan Brown, was pretty successful. The second book in the Nicolina Fabiani Series THE IMMORTAL MADONNA is now published and doing well. I am currently working on the third book in the series which will be published early December. I refuse to be constrained by genres and have five other published novels which can be seen on my website.

Readers have commented that my writing is controversial, compelling, descriptive and evocative, and they become involved with the characters. What more could a writer ask for?

I am unable to restrain myself from becoming emotionally involved in humanitarian issues, as well as with my clients, readers and it comes through in my stories.

I currently live in my hometown in Auckland, New Zealand and love to travel to other countries and have been to Europe many times, as my very talented partner Harald,who designs my covers,is from Germany. This has given me the opportunity to fall in love with historical landscapes and their cultures, and also indulge in three of my passions, good food, wine and great conversation.

I have gleaned many ideas and settings for my stories by traveling to well known cities in Europe, and also through the small villages, each with their own special story, which have enabled me to create believable and sympathetic characters.

Currently I teach English to Muslim immigrants from Iraq. Both of these experiences were so enlightening, giving me an insight into the spirit and courage these people, whom I admire tremendously and respect, portray in their everyday lives and their story is so compelling I will be writing a novel about their lives.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, I came to Britain during winter and saw my first view of snow! My English Dad fell in love with my beautiful Greek Mum in Athens during the war and wrote her a forty page love-letter when fighting in the desert so I guess writing is in my genes! I wrote my first novel in an exercise-book at sixteen and many others after that but then gave up writing for a long time while bringing up kids and working at counselling and other interesting occupations. Now retired and living in Malvern,the muse has returned. My first published book is The Long Shadow and Middle Watch my third.

I was asked in 2013 to give a talk on The Long Shadow at the American College in Thessaloniki. It was a delightful and unique experience and I’ve made some wonderful friendships there. This led to my being signed up by Oceanida.gr and The Long Shadow will be available in Greek in Dec 2014. And I’ll be signing books in Ianos Bookshop in Thessaloniki. So thrilled.

I also have a chapter ‘Between Two Cultures: an Anglo Greek Identity crisis’ which you will find in a very interesting book released on Greece by the Cambridge Scholars. It is called ‘Greece and Britain since 1945′ edited by Dr David Wills. ISBN: 978-1-4438-1962-6 obtainable on Amazon.com It is now out in a paperback second edition with new updated chapters and photos added. It’s an informative book and very useful for scholars as well as Graecophiles everywhere.
