   Throughout my life the subjects that interest me have been varied and eclectic. My Mom taught me how to crochet and my Dad taught me how to shoot clay pigeons with a shotgun. I like high tech stuff and I built a Tesla coil once that scared anyone who got too close to it. I was employed in the tech world for many years but that is behind me now. Zen meditation is important to me and I believe it has fundamentally changed my life for the better. Right now I am an artist/author but I was solely an artist before I became an author. I make art mostly for my own enjoyment and as a creative outlet. I am approaching writing from a slightly different angle. Of course writing is a creative craft also but most of the books that I write are more about being informative and less about being strictly artsy.    Review #1: Glad I took the chance

   From the title and the author’s warning that you would need to like twisted, sick stories filled with violence and harsh language, I figured I would not care for the stories. But I looked at the other reviews and saw only positive ones excerpt for a really bad one from a guy who did not read the book but decided from the press release that it would be bad. What a fool he was. I didn’t want to make a decision without at least trying it, so I gave it a chance.

   Like I said that guy was a fool. There are some really great stories in here. I also feel the author made a mistake with his warning and title selection. I was expecting a lot of horror and gore filled stories. The stories had a wide range of topics. There was humor, horror, drama, absurdity, and a few that did not really fit into any mold. I felt some of the strongest stories were the humorous ones.

   The stories are short. Most took less than ten minutes to read. They were the perfect length to read on a work break, waiting in a doctor’s office, or taking a bathroom break.

   One thing that bothered me at times was some of the language. It seems strange that an author that has such a vivid imagination took the easy way with the language at times. Admittedly it fit the story sometimes, but several times, I felt it could have been avoided especially by this author.

   Overall these stories will make you think, laugh, or scratch your head at times. I would say ignore the attempts at being shocking and simply have a good time reading these tales of wonder.

   Review #2: A fun read, love the surprises!

   You never know where the author is taking you. It’s unpredictable original thinking. The stories are short too, which is great. It’s not for children but a great read for adults who want something a little off kilter. A welcome addition was the humor, every now and then you just have to snicker. If someone else can write like this, maybe my imagination isn’t so twisted after all. I’ll definitely be reading these over again.

   Review #3: Hang on to your imagination!

   I can’t tell you how exited I am to have this writer’s stories in book form to read over and over. His stories are unique, captivating, and so entertaining. His characters get right into my head and make me feel all kinds emotion. They bring me into the story and make me want to keep reading to see how it ends.

   Each story is unique and written in a style that truly made me a fan of Tyler Nals. The dialogue is real, the humor is fun, and the twists and turns are entertaining and delightful.

   If there is one word for this collection of stories, it has to be … memorable. I promise, the stories will stay with you and you’ll find yourself recalling the characters and stories long after reading them. If you want to read a book of stories that will grab your emotions, Twisted Sick is the one to get. I promise that you’ll be glad you did!

   Review #4: A wild, wacky and fun ride

   I’m not a big fan of horror so I was on the fence, but only a few stories in here are really horror. I don’t even know how to classify most of them. The only word I can think of is entertaining. The title of the first story Writing Tools gave me the wrong idea. I thought it would be about how to write or something else boring. I was way off. It was a highly entertaining story as was almost every story in the book.

   Reading this book is like going to a carnival: fear, fun, excitement, strange and interesting characters. I’m not the easiest person to please, but I would definitely recommend this one, especially if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.

   Review #5: Fantastic Sick & Humorous Tales

   Twisted Sick is a group of fantastic stories! Some of the stories are truly scary stories and some of them are funny stories with a twist. The stories remind me of the Alfred Hitchcock stories I remember from my childhood.

   My favorite was called “Newborn” where a lady gives birth to an old man. The ending is hysterical!

   Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down.

   I’m going to look for more books by Tyler Nals in the future!

   Review #6: A MUST READ!!! Twisted Sick by Tyler Nals

   Absolutely LOVED this book!!! Tyler Nals pulls no punches with his wide range of short stories, if you can’t handle bad language or sexual situations, this is not the book for you!! BUT you will miss out on some amazing stories!!!

   This has to be the most entertaining book I have read in a long time.

   Hopefully, Tyler will be reading the reviews on this book, so I leave with this…

   Review #7: This will be one of your favorite books!

   I’m pretty sure that one of these stories will be the best story you have ever read. I found my favorite in here and there isn’t one story that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. A great diversity and a lot of surprises await you. I can’t recommend a book any more highly than I do this one. You won’t be disappointed!

   Review #8: Surprisingly Fantastic

   It’s not until you’re halfway through the book that you realize how appropriate this title is. This collection of short (very short) stories reveals the twisted and talented mind of Tyler Nals.

   What I loved:

   – fantastic humor

   – creative originality

   – awesome banter

   I’ve never really been a fan of flash fiction, but this collection may have changed my mind. I really enjoyed how they were arranged, and found myself smiling throughout most of this read. A very enjoyable book that I will be sure to read again. And again.
