Originally, the idea was conceived as a TV series, which Michael wrote five episodes for before deciding his characters belonged in books.

Prize winning poet and writer Harriet Levin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa Writer’s Workshop.
