Author Bio:
Growing up in the cold, wet, north of England, Nina Croft spent a lot of time huddled under the blankets dreaming of faraway sunnier places and ponies. When she discovered both could be found between the covers of a book, her life changed forever. Soon her horizons expanded to include other galaxies and whole new worlds, monsters, and vampires and then even stranger…love and sex.

At the age of eighteen, in an attempt to turn dreams into reality, she headed south in search of the sun. She quickly picked up the perfect husband along the way, and developed a taste for red wine and holidays in warm places.

Soon holidays weren’t enough, and together they volunteered to work in Africa where they both discovered a love of traveling and a dislike of 9-5 work. Afterward they spent a number of years travelling (whenever possible) intermingled with working (whenever the money ran out.) Eventually they stumbled upon a remote area in the mountains of southern Spain where they bought the small almond farm they now call home.

No electricity, no neighbors, no chocolate shops, but on the plus side, stunning scenery, a vineyard to make her own red wine, and far enough away from anywhere to satisfy Nina’s hermit tendencies. She shares the farm with her husband, and an ever increasing number of animals, including Piggles, a three-legged Vietnamese pot-bellied pig.

Nina now spends her days riding her mare Gencianna under the blue Spanish skies—sunshine and ponies. She reckons this is proof that dreams really can come true if you want them enough.

She still travels, but usually only in her imagination, and can often be found lying under a fig tree, wine in hand, plotting stories of love in faraway places.

ROBERT W. Fuller earned his Ph.D. in physics at Princeton University and taught at Columbia, where he co-authored MATHEMATICS OF CLASSICAL AND QUANTUM PHYSICS. After serving as president of Oberlin College, he became a “citizen diplomat,” working toward improving international relations during the Cold War. During the 1990s, he served as board chair of the nonprofit global corporation Internews and promoted democracy via free and independent media.

When the Cold War ended with the collapse of the USSR, Fuller reflected on his career and realized that he had been, at different times in his life, a somebody and a nobody. His periodic sojourns into “Nobodyland” led him to identify rankism—abuse of the power inherent in rank—and ultimately to write SOMEBODIES AND NOBODIES: OVERCOMING THE ABUSE OF RANK. Three years later, he published a sequel that focuses on building a “dignitarian society” titled ALL RISE: SOMEBODIES, NOBODIES, AND THE POLITICS OF DIGNITY. With co-author Pamela Gerloff, he has also published DIGNITY FOR ALL: HOW TO CREATE A WORLD WITHOUT RANKISM. His most recent books are RELIGION AND SCIENCE: A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP?; GENOMES, MENOMES, WENOMES: NEUROSCIENCE AND HUMAN DIGNITY; THE WISDOM OF SCIENCE; BELONGING: A MEMOIR; THE THEORY OF EVERYBODY; THEO THE WHITE SQUIRREL; POINTERS TOWARD DIGNITY; and THE ROWAN TREE: A NOVEL.

Reckoning Daze by Michael Beaulieu

About Reckoning Daze by Michael Beaulieu:

Reckoning Daze tells the story of Lindsay-Harmon Foster, an actress who recently lost a series she loved and is now working on a pilot for a series that might prove to be the role of a lifetime if she can get the network to sign her for the full season. While Lindsay is doing the pilot, she starves herself, saying, “An actress is always a starving artist.” (Just one of her many self-destructive mantras.) She also struggles with cutting and drug abuse. Meanwhile, the rising music star she thought was her soulmate committed suicide and she blames herself, which is one of many things fueling her self-destructive ways. Family secrets and the death of a dear friend weigh heavily on her as well. It’s on the set for the new show that Lindsay meets handsome actor Marc, who she may or may not be able to have a relationship with, depending on whether or not she can let herself find love again. If you like Bret Easton Ellis and Chuck Palahniuk, you’ll love Lindsay’s often satirical take on Los Angeles. Mostly though, Reckoning Daze is a suspenseful page turner, the sort you stay up all night reading.

Author Bio:
Michael Beaulieu has been an entertainment journalist for over 20 years. His credits including such magazines as LiveWire and Lollipop, both of which he was a contributing editor and columnist for, as well as AOL’s pre-internet music magazine Rocknet and filmmaker Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse. Today Michael is the owner of the popular pop culture site Love is Pop. (www.loveispop.com). Originally a music only site, Michael recently began interviewing some of his favorite authors, including best-sellers Jay Asher, Francesca Lia Block and Adriana Mather. As for what type of music is featured on Love is Pop, anything goes. Michael has interviewed pop princesses, metal gods and several artists whose music is in foreign languages. Some of his recent music interviews include Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Coeur de Pirate, Lou Doillon, Nikki Yanofsky and Ben Johnston of Biffy Clyro. He recently did an interview with Chris McLelland of Nominee during which the two discussed something they have in common – bipolar disorder.

From 2003 – 2006 Michael resided in Los Angeles, California, which is where he wrote his debut novel Reckoning Daze. The book is about an actress who struggles with anorexia, cutting and trying to find a new role. She just might score an starring role on what’s sure to be a hot new series if she can keep her act together well enough to impress the producers and network. She also might find new romance if she can silence her self-hate long enough to let her handsome new co-star love her. Michael wrote Reckoning Daze while he was struggling with anorexia and depression himself, wanting to write a character he could relate to. In spite of the fact that Lindsay is a downhill racer, the book isn’t depressing, the way she sees the celebrity culture and the entertainment business often being laugh out loud funny.

Michael’s next book to be released will be the young adult, urban fantasy novel Book of Shadows: Volume One: Casting. The book is about a trio of sixteen year olds who start a coven after one of the girls finds her late great grandmother’s book of shadows – a witch’s spellbook and journal – and discover that magick is real. They also learn that it often comes with a price when their spells prove to have unwanted side-effects. While trying to put out the proverbial fires they’ve started, the girls deal with normal high school issues, like dating and being bullied. The second book in the series is already written and Michael plans to start work on the third soon. Originally, the idea was conceived as a TV series, which Michael wrote five episodes for before deciding his characters belonged in books.

In addition to novels, Michael has written 30 original screenplays, many of which he plans to make as independent films, and the memoir Fear & Self-Loathing in Los Angeles, the latter of which he intends to release within the next year. Michael presently resides in suburban Massachusetts with his cat, Mister White, and his turtle, Johnny Rocket.

Michael can be reached at michael@michaelbeaulieu.com.

Born and raised in Oxford, England, I moved to Toronto for the sunshine. Okay, maybe not, but I liked the idea of being chased by bears while walking my dog at weekends, and streetcars seemed so much cooler than riding the bus.

I write YA fiction; sometimes gritty, often funny, and always with a healthy dose of fantasy. Before writing full time, I spent many years studying ancient Greek dreams, and it’s that spirit of the otherworldly that still permeates my works, even in a contemporary setting. I hope you enjoy reading my books, and I’m always open for contact and questions on social media. Especially if you have tips on living with a dog who’s stronger than you are.

The Sleep is my debut novel, and I’m currently at the editing stage with my new four-part series, due for release Fall 2017.

When a terrorist attack shakes her native Stockholm, Astrid will need help getting back to Sweden. Fortunately, that help has been beside her this entire time. The man she’s always hated is suddenly the person she relies on, a capable prince whose strength both comforts and seduces her.

Is the real Jamie the bad boy she’d always thought him to be or the irresistible stranger she’s come to know in Provence?

Molly Jameson loves fairytales — the happy, kiss at the end kind, not the witches eating little children kind. Obviously. She has been a lover of all things British ever since she was introduced to Bridget Jones. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding? Swoon.

MJ brings a sassy new voice to romantic comedy with the Royal Romances series, which follows the love lives of the seven princes and princesses of the British monarchy in an alternate modern world. There’s plenty of globetrotting glamor and intrigue, as well as ballgowns, tiaras, and champagne. And princes. We can’t forget those princes!

The books are smart, sexy, and totally swoon worthy.

T. L. Curtis is a native of Louisville, Kentucky who moved to Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and dogs in the fall of 2014. Though she has written creatively since childhood, she has consistently been anxious about publishing her work for the general public to consume. After a few inspirational events that took place in her life after she moved to Atlanta, she decided that it was time to stop being afraid and start offering her creativity to those who might enjoy it (and even those who might not).

What makes T. L. Curtis’ literature stand out is that it is informed by nearly a decade of psychotherapy experience. From being a student, to assisting as a technician, to becoming a licensed clinician herself, Curtis uses what she knows about human psychology, personal motivation, and social dynamics to structure the development of her stories and characters.

Alongside being an author, T. L. Curtis is the owner and operator of Volo Press (Volo-Press.com), a literary lifestyle company that creates and recommends products and services for readers and writers. She spends her time creating hand-made bookmarks and writing accessories, blogging about her writing journey, and networking with other writers and readers in her local area and across the globe.

Her first self-published book was Feign, a collection of poetry and lyrics. Show Her is her first novella. Feign: Volume II is scheduled for release in the fall of 2017.\

Set across a backdrop of refugee migration that spans East Africa, the US and Australia, How Fast Can You Run’s story of “Lost Boy” of Sudan Michael Majok Kuch unfolds with equal measures of inspiration and heartbreak. Five-year-old Majok wakes in the middle of the night to his burning hut and flees from the soldiers torching his village in South Sudan. He gets separated from his mother and begins a ten year journey, trekking through war zones and living in refugee camps, until he receives political asylum to the US.

Majok, now Michael, is given a new start in the US. Yet his new life mirrors his migrant life as he faces discrimination once again, and ultimately betrayal.

This extraordinary novel, chosen as a 2017 Charter for Compassion Global Read and now a Foreword Review Book of the Year finalist, is in the words of Mukoma Wa Ngugi, “a beautiful and crucial story told by two people, one Sudanese with dreams of independence, the other, an American poet who listens to Michael Majok through her imagination…reminding us that the most human of all activities, the one thing that binds us all, is finding beauty even in impossible situations.”
