The Zero Tolerance Game

zero tolernaceAbout The Zero Tolerance Game:

The odd couple of private investigators is back!

Frank Boff, the legendary DEA agent turned rogue P.I., teams up again with the volatile Emily Lynch, a six foot, alpha-female detective on suspension from the NYPD because of a drinking problem.

On a perfect summer day where seemingly nothing could go wrong, everything does. Boff walks his client to his car and is heading to retrieve his own vehicle, when he hears a tremendous explosion behind him. He looks back and is shocked to see his client’s car engulfed in flames.

Boff’s shock turns to anger as he realizes if he had been closer to the vehicle, he’d be dead now. He knows in an instant that whoever did this is going to pay. Big time.

When Boff gets home, he receives a phone call from an old high school buddy who was wrongfully convicted of murder and sent to prison for life at the age of seventeen.

Twenty-nine years later, his friend’s conviction has been overturned, and he’s being released with only one thought in mind: hire Boff to help find the real killer and punish him.

Faced with two murder cases, Boff needs a partner. With reluctance he turns to the combustible Lynch, who after her latest bout of binge drinking, finds herself homeless and sleeping in subways and shelters.

Inevitably, sparks fly between them as they struggle to solve two cases involving warring snipers on New York City rooftops, the world’s most ruthless drug cartel, corrupt federal agents, and caffeinated mobsters who’ll stop at nothing to get what they want.

In this second installment of the Boff-Lynch team, nothing is as it appears to be, and the truth is buried beneath layers of lies and deceit.

Author Bio:
Cherron Riser was born in Dothan, Alabama on November 2, 1983. With her family being military, she spent a lot of her early childhood traveling all over the country, giving her a lot of new and different experiences she would not otherwise have been given. When she turned ten, however, her family settled in the small town of Ozark, Alabama where she finished her high school career.

After high school, Cherron began college, however she also found herself in love with her old high school crush. The two of them were married in July of 2002, and welcomed their first child in October of 2003, after moving to Knoxville, Tennessee. In December 2008 the welcomed their second child and found themselves headed back to Alabama. They have now been married for over thirteen years, and Cherron has returned to school to finish what she had started all those years ago.

All through her life Cherron has been drawn to the arts. As a child she danced and sang all of the time, often driving her family crazy. During middle school, a group of friends and Cherron started “The Outcast” a club established for building a love of writing. Once the club was formed, Cherron was never seen without a spiral notebook and pen. She wrote daily, developing silly stories for her friends. After high school, Cherron began to write more serious stories and develop more original plot lines. It is a talent and love Cherron has developed over the years, filling her computer with story after story.

As an author, Cherron began her career as a self published author, releasing the book Defying Destiny in March of 2015. Now she has published ten books and is looking forward to putting out more. She gives a lot of credit to her husband, children, and friends for inspiring her characters and worlds and looks forward to showing them to all of her readers in the near future. Cherron can often be seen at conventions, both for readers and for geeks, as she is and will always be a geek herself, and proud of it.

Devil in the Countryside

About Devil in the Countryside:

Devil in the Countryside is a story about the most famous werewolf investigation in history, brimming with intrigue and war, love and betrayal, and long-kept vendettas.

It’s 1588, the height of the Reformation, and a killer is terrorizing the German countryside. There are reports that the legendary Werewolf of Bedburg has returned to a once-peaceful land. Heinrich Franz, a cold and calculating investigator, is tasked with finding whomever — or whatever — the killer might be. He’ll need all the help he can get, including that of a strange hunter who’s recently stumbled into town. Though they’re after the same thing, their reasons are worlds apart. And through it all, a priest tries to keep the peace among his frightened townsfolk, while a young woman threatens his most basic beliefs.

In a time when life is cheap and secrets run rampant, these four divergent souls find themselves entwined in a treacherous mystery, navigating the volatile political and religious landscape of 16th century Germany, fighting to keep their sanity — and their lives.

Author Bio:
At the age of 71, JJ Harlyn is an unlikely first time author. Still working part-time as an engineering consultant he was inspired by a friend who had written his first book after retiring from a long and successful career. His novel, “Memories Lost in Time,” uses the concept of time-travel to create a compelling “coming of age” story. Set in a mid-west college, the story follows three friends as they conduct unsanctioned experiments to further their academic careers while at the same time tackling some significant money issues.
The idea for his time-travel story emerged from a dream that recurred for several nights. Once the story’s framework was created, Harvey developed the rest of his narrative based on personal experience, people he knew and his grandchildren. The main female character, for example, very much resembles his granddaughter in every way with one significant exception. She’s not a brilliant physicist but rather a sixteen year old high school girl who hopes one day to become a speech therapist. His youngest granddaughter’s request to be a dog, in the book, was most challenging. It required nearly half a chapter to explain why the hero’s little dog was named Emily.
“Memories Lost in Time” is a refreshing variation on the typical time-travel, science fiction novel. It’s light reading that will take you on a journey with Ben and his friends as they challenge the very foundation of time, as we know it. Several twists and turns at the end of the book are a welcome surprise, providing the reader with a most satisfying experience.

Shadows, Darkness & Light

About Shadows, Darkness & Light:

Twelve tales of life gone wrong and brave battles fought. Only the strong come out stronger.

When tragedy strikes the lives of twelve different women, they have to fight back for emotional survival. But society is watching, judging, disapproving.

Shadows, Darkness and Light gives a voice to the tumultuous emotions of unsung life heroes, ordinary women that must fight running battles with destiny: a woman finding a place in her heart for a child who is a product of rape, a girl living in the world of forced child marriages, a wife jailed for murder rebuilding the relations with her daughter, a mentally ill woman conquering rejection, a widow who realizes there is no comfort for the bereaved, a dying woman haunted by family arranged adultery, exploitation in the guise of religion and more. These are stories of great courage, self-sacrifice, and scars. Scars from the past and from the present.

Life is not just another story. It is a personal experience. We can only celebrate the victories of those brave enough to accept they cannot change the past or the present. They cannot flee the shadows or the darkness that comes with the shadows. But as they seek their identity and prove their relevance, they can influence the future and find the light.
