TheGenesisCypherCoverSmallAbout The Genesis Cypher:

Police storm the headquarters of an apocalyptic cult in remote Utah, and in the carnage that follows a wounded police officer is led to safety through smoke and flames by a young girl. It is only when they emerge that the officer realises that the girl is completely blind……

Six months after the collapse of Majestic Twelve, The Defense Intelligence Agency is hunting for their lost billions while investigating the discovery of a mysterious Sumerian tablet that describes an alien encounter in ancient Egypt. Ethan Warner and Nicola Lopez are despatched to follow up the claims, and find themselves embroiled in a Russian conspiracy, Operation Orakul. Amid the horror of the Syrian Civil War, Russian investigators are abducting troubled young girls and using them as “Seers”, intent on pursuing the same leads as the DIA. As the two missions hurtle toward each other, so Ethan and Nicola find a bizarre connection between ancient Egypt, the Delphi of Greece and the fabled Ark of the Covenant.

From the blistering deserts of Utah to the sacred halls of the Vatican, the ancient plateau of Giza to the war-torn wastelands of Syria, Ethan and Nicola must hurry to locate a tomb long-buried beneath the sands of Egypt and unlock the mystery that formed Majestic Twelve in the first place, and the Russians will stop at nothing to beat them to it…

51mhGyEQIJLAbout The Disabled Veteran’s Story: The Sacrifices of Our Veterans and Their Families by Miguel Reece

OUR AMERICAN HEROES: THE SACRIFICES OUR WARRIORS AND THEIR FAMILIES MAKE EVERYDAY STANDING GUARD AT HOME AND AROUND THE WORLD FOR THE FREEDOM WE ENJOY AS A NATION

Sacrifice is not just a word—it is a committed act of great value in the line of service to the world. Those who serve and sacrificed deserve our acknowledgement and respect as they continue to be haunted during their recovery and integration into daily living back home. Everyone has a story. This book shares the heartfelt, compelling stories of legendary sacrifices of our veterans and their families from WWII to present. Miguel Reece was urged to share those chapters in our history by veterans, their parents, family members, and the caretakers themselves. They insisted he not allow their sacrifices to ever be forgotten: the spouse who had to start over seven different times following the military member with their daughter who changed schools nine times in twelve years; the shattered dream of one of the first female pilots and her struggles with the glass ceiling; the amazing Bataan death march survivor—a must read; the man who volunteered for the draft as a way out to pave the way for his family; the Marine mother’s struggles with a son with traumatic brain injury; POWs from WWII and Korea—true love stories; an Ohio National Guardsman at Kent State; survivors, fighters, and patriots from Pearl Harbor, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan—All True Stories & Stories For All.

Author Bio:
Miguel Reece is a military veteran with more than thirty years of service in the United States Air Force, both as an enlisted member and an officer, with an additional ten years with the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office. He enlisted into the U.S. Air Force in February 1969. Miguel earned two Associate of Science degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Education, and Master’s of Arts degree, which opened several important doors with great challenges and opportunities in his life. Miguel served in Vietnam and went on to support Desert Storm, was an Administrator on the State Department-Sponsored Humanitarian and Civic Action Mission to Jordan, was the Support Commander of the Field Integration of the Air Transportable Hospital deployed to Cairo, Egypt, in “Bright Star,” and served on the Stabilization Team, with the Expeditionary Medical Forces, in the Balkans. These experiences have provided Miguel with a holistic regard for the honor and veneration which the veterans of the United States Armed Forces and families merit. Retirement posed new challenges for Miguel, after thirty years in the United States Air Force, having lived in or visited twenty-nine countries in the world. After eighteen months of playing golf and visiting friends around the world, he continued to wait on the rating decision for the service-connected disabilities he had applied for prior to his retirement. The AMVETS veterans service representative who had been assisting Miguel with his claim suggested that Miguel apply for employment with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Making a difference is Miguel’s aspiration and working for the VA would be a perfect fit. It truly saddened Miguel the day he announced his retirement for medical reasons. Miguel had unconditional love for his job, being a public servant and making a difference in the lives of the beneficiaries, the privilege of serving the veterans, and working in more than half of the counties in the state of Florida. He visited veterans and/or their families where they lived—under bridges, in a tree house, in parks, nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and fabulous homes—everywhere Miguel believes it is their right to be treated with dignity and class. At the constant urging of the veteran community to share these treasured memories, Miguel believed it would be a great disservice to society to keep them to himself. The veterans and their families have found a voice in this book.

APHRODESIA by John Oehler

AphrodesiaAbout APHRODESIA by John Oehler:

UNEXPLAINED DEATHS suddenly crop up all over the world. Their only link is to a perfume.

While a student at the world’s top perfume school, Eric Foster creates an aphrodisiac fragrance of astonishing potency, the Holy Grail of the perfumer’s art. His future seems assured. But when his creation is tied to an outbreak of passion-driven homicides, he becomes the NYPD’s prime suspect, facing a charge of serial murder. Desperate to prove his innocence, Eric reluctantly teams up with Tanya Cole, a forensic chemist who seems born to exasperate him. Their quest takes them to Yemen and France and plunges them into the dark realms of organized crime, child labor, and Third World interrogation. Against increasingly violent adversaries, Eric’s only advantage is his extraordinary sense of smell — and that of his rescued bloodhound, Daisy.

Because this story centers on an aphrodisiac, it contains some fairly explicit sex scenes.

APHRODESIA is also available as an audiobook from Amazon and Audible.

The Kindle version is discounted to $1.99 from October 16 through October 21.

Author Bio:
An award winning author, playwright, director, and producer, Alretha Thomas’s background is as diverse as her personality. She started at the age of ten when her 5th grade teacher picked and read her short story assignment in front of the class—that simple, loving act empowered a new writer. Continuing in high school, her numerous original oratorical conquests on the Speech Team led her to a journalism concentration at USC.

Upon graduating, Alretha soon realized that her interest in journalism was not heartfelt. While at the taping of a live sitcom, the producer noticed her and encouraged her hand at modeling. Modeling didn’t mean much to her, but it did lead her to acting and a NAACP Theatre Award Nomination (1993) for BEST ACTRESS. Alretha left acting and began to write full time. Her church gave her an outlet to fulfill her writing desires through their Liturgical Fine Arts Department wherein Alretha penned twelve theatre pieces, six of which she directed—the community response was overwhelming.

This led to full length plays outside of the church. In 2002, The Stella Adler Theater presented A Shrine to Junior. The play was nominated for a NAACP Theatre Award and in 2004, Alretha’s play, Civil Rites, was the recipient of a NAACP Theatre Award. Her play Grandpa’s Truth ran at the Inglewood Playhouse in Inglewood, California in 2006, and was extended more than once by popular demand. Not only did radio station KJLH support by recommending this production to its listeners, but notables like the Mayor of Inglewood, Roosevelt Dorn, and music legends like Freda Payne and Stevie Wonder had critical acclaim for Grandpa’s Truth. This wonderful piece was featured on Channel 5 (KTLA News) by Entertainment Reporter, Sam Rubin. Additionally, in 2007, Alretha’s play that she wrote and directed, Sacrificing Simone, had a successful run at Stage 52 in Los Angeles and was called “an inspirational crowd pleaser” by the Los Angeles Times and in 2009, Alretha’s groundbreaking One, Woman Two Lives, starring Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show), directed by four-time NAACP Image Award Best Director recipient Denise Dowse, garnered rave reviews from critics and audiences.

In between plays, Alretha’s first novel Daughter Denied was launched in 2008 and has received glowing reviews from readers and book clubs across the country. Representing her books, Alretha has been the guest on many radio shows and television shows including San Francisco Public Affairs show Bay Sunday with Barbara Rodgers on KTLA Channel 5. In 2011, Alretha launched her second novel, Dancing Her Dreams Away, and it was also well received. Her third novel, Married in the Nick of Nine, spawned a four-book series that was acquired by Soul Mate Publishing in January 2014. Alretha’s award winning third indie novel, Four Ladies Only, was released February 2014. Alretha’s first mystery novel, Missing Melissa, was released in 2015. In 2016, Justice for Jessica, the first book in her new Detective Rachel Storme series, was released.

Author Bio:
Like most natural health experts, T.C. Hale (aka Tony Hale) began his career in stand-up comedy. Touring professionally as a comic for nearly a decade, he never envisioned that he would one day teach the world how to sleep, poop, and even lose weight. On Valentine’s Day, 2004, Tony lost his voice and it never came back. After twenty-three doctors couldn’t figure out the problem, Tony decided it was time to dig for his own answers. Eight years later, not only did Tony figure out his own issues, he also happened upon hidden information about how to improve countless other health problems. Though Tony likes to boast about the fact that he holds no legitimate credentials (nor does he believe that we need any more “experts” from the same pool of knowledge already failing so many with health issues), he is greatly respected by his peers in the natural health industry. The biggest manufacturers in the health, fitness and organic products industries send Tony their products every year in hopes of winning one of his GearAwards. Beyond working with many celebrity clients, Tony is on the executive board of The Coalition For Health Education, a nonprofit association that helps professionals and their clients learn about health through nutrition. Additionally, Tony teaches monthly webinars about nutrition to doctors, nutritionists and other health care professionals from more than thirty-five countries. You can also find Tony producing documentaries like, WHY AM I SO FAT? A film that teaches the truth about weight loss while showcasing Tony’s client, Gabe Evans, who lost 200 pounds in 9 ½ months by treating Tony’s word as gospel.

Hey, I’m new to this author thing. I wrote something slightly on the naughty side, so I debate how much “Bio” to share with. I’m a work in progress trying to figure it all out. But I will tell you:

-I live in the Midwest with my husband and two children
-I love wine
-I love chocolate
-I run, not because I love it, but because I have to (due to my love of wine and chocolate)
-Humor is my coping mechanism of choice, much like the characters I create
-I come from a hilarious, totally functioning dysfunctional family
-I’m a firm believer that there is no place for fruit in any quality dessert; it always comes down to dessert, doesn’t it?

That is all. For now.
