Fouling Shot – Plot Synopsis

Will Gunnison (a successful hunting guide) is on a hunting trip with clients, John Buckhart (the CEO of an international investment firm), Alex Wooldridge of Woods Petroleum in Australia, and John’s son – a 21 year old rich kid with attitude.
John is Will’s biggest client and source of referrals. Alex is a new client for Will and a potential client for John. Alex is in the states working on a contract with the Federal Government because he has developed a new solar panel that will put the Chinese manufactures out of business. At this point no one knows this. John only wants to represent Wooldridge’s investments.
John’s son, Tyler, is the typical entitled millennial that was raised with money and was never really paid attention to by his parents. He hates is father and hates his Dad’s new trophy wife even more.
As they are hunting along the Canadian River in Oklahoma, a small plane seems to try to land on their location and then explodes over them. In the wreckage of the plane Will finds evidence that the plane may have been spying on Alex Wooldridge who dies in the explosion. The plane was owned by a rival petroleum company.
While the FBI are their investigating it is discovered that all three men’s wives were abducted from the Scottsdale Arizona Resort that Will’s wife had been entertaining them while he took the group hunting. Someone was paid to kill them but decided it would be more profitable to sell them to a Mexican crime lord.
From there Will elicits the help of his best friends, Carter Trace (homeland security and ex special forces), and Dustin (the comic relief of the book) to go into Mexico to rescue his wife and in doing so exposes a sex slave operation that he feels compelled to stop because of his own childhood experiences. This separate plot takes them up against the most notorious and bloody crime lord in Mexico (this was written before El Chappo…) who’s right hand man is Carter Trace’s rival in his Special Forces days.
In the meantime, the FBI continue to investigate who would have tried to kill Alex Wooldridge and the investigation leads them to John Buckhart (Will’s mentor) because of some computer activity from ones of his firm’s office locations.

specializing in hormones and natural therapies.As an Intuitive Integrative Nurse Practitioner, I bridge together the science of medicine with the art of healing. For each of my patients, I strive to get to the root of dis-ease.

At the surface, the roots are biochemical. Diving deeper psychological roots can be uncovered,

This is my true story, but I honestly believe that anyone can relate to this ‘coming of age’ tale about discovering your true self, boys and sexuality. I have been married to the ‘hero’ of this story for 37 wonderful years! We have three grown children and nine Exceptionally Talented grandchildren (lol)! I grew up in a small town, the youngest of six children. I found out later that my mom got pregnant on purpose to try to keep my dad in the marriage….so basically I was a ‘trick that didn’t work’! I was lucky to maintain a good relationship with both parents even though they didn’t live together. As for myself as an adult, I am a sign-language interpreter, a photographer, a writer, a St. Louis Cardinals fan, and a complete idiot over my grandchildren. I fight depression and alcohol addiction. I am in a Sorority and the secretary of our Ladies Council at church. I’ve performed as ‘Edith Anne’ on several occasions and venues. I am a struggling Christian and a bad cook. Not sure what else I can say about myself except that I have mastered the appearance of ‘being fine’ when I’m really not!
