Velvet Heaven is a triology of novels written by me, Soroya Biela. I was born and raised in Warren, MI. I graduated from Wayne State University in 2012 with a B.A. in English. My classes at Wayne State were heavily concentrated in creative writing, including several graduate level courses which I completed as an undergrad. We were stuck reading things like Twilight, which is about teenagers, or Anne Rice, which was more about vampire men. There really were no strong female leads over 40 and certainly none that contained any erotic overtones.

Enter Joey Roxy, my main character from my forth coming novel, Velvet Heaven. Joey during her last public appearance is attacked by a vampire and offered the choice of eternal life. After Joey makes her choice we see her struggle to maintain her marriage, continue her career in the radio business, as well as the unique set of problems a woman over 50 would face after becoming a vampire.
