Life for me began in Michigan in 1952, the first child born to a couple in their mid-twenties. Severe asthma and the cold winters brought me near death. When I was only three, our family was forced to move to Florida for the benefits of the warmer climate, both for myself and for my father who suffered from pleurisy. The separation from my doting grandparents was my first life trauma and the beginning of the accumulation of my ‘baggage’.
There were many dysfunctional qualities about my growing up period, but that wasn’t out of the ordinary for most families. Graduating from high school in 1970 put me in the middle of the Vietnam and hippie eras. It was a tumultuous time, and for a seventeen-year-old girl who had no solid model for good relationships, it was the first step on a road to many bad decisions.
In my late thirties, after two failed marriages, I became interested in the self-help movement. Through books and seminars I began to learn how to affect some positive changes. It was a slow process and being the single working mother of three teens, there was little time available to me, but I continued.
Career paths flourished and fluctuated over the years. I excelled at learning, going back to college at the age of forty and achieving a Dean’s list status in every term. I was state licensed in real estate, insurance, and securities and created several new businesses which I owned and operated. I was an entrepreneur!
As my self-confidence grew and the positivity of my attitude blossomed, the opportunities became greater. Through circumstances set before me and people in my circles of acquaintances and friends, I found new interests, skills, and talents which I began to develop.
In January of 2016, I retired from working for others. It was an event in my life that was eagerly anticipated. I had already become an artist with paintings in private collections in five countries. Photography was a passion and my travels produced a nice portfolio for stock photography sales. But it was the retirement event which brought me to realize that being an author would also be a passion and part of my future.

He is a member of the Horror Writers Association.

He grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida. But after many travels and adventures, he settled down near Tampa, Florida with his wonderful wife and son … and a stray cat they adopted.
