No Perfect Fate: When Cleo Anderson parks her Play-Mor in a small fish camp on the banks of the Suwannee River, her arrival draws the curious attention of eleven-year-old, Katie. Beautiful, yet shy, Cleo seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until Katie draws her into reluctant relationships with her godfather, Fletcher, and the plain-spoken elderly camp owner. Despite her reserve, Cleo soon becomes attached to the close-knit community of campers. Even as Cleo begins to overcome her reserve, she struggles with an inner voice and a past that haunts her and won’t let go.

No Perfect Secret: Betrayed thrice over by her husband, Anna believes her imploded life will right itself if only she buys a dog. Investigator Frank Caburn has other ideas. He already owns a dog. Man to the bone and manufacturing testosterone like Frito Lay does chips, all he wants is to fall in love and be done with it. Anna Nesmith is the one. But how to tell her without tripping over a layer of secrets is beyond him. Frank is saddled with his elderly bosses; both of whom who plan to keep their jobs until the Rapture or the sun burns out–whichever comes last. Adding to his woe is a cross-dressing dominatrix with OCD, a purple haired hacker on parole, and Anna’s back-stabbing mother-in-law. Falling in love has never been more difficult.

No Perfect Destiny: Leah Spencer lives in the present until a past she has outrun imperils her future. An investigation into missing funds at work threatens all she holds dear. Detective Leo Garvey has her in his sights as the number one suspect and more. Leah knows she must be careful, that nothing good could come from Leo’s attraction. Leo doesn’t see it her way. If he proves her guilty, he loses. If innocent, he wins. Yet, convincing Leah the past can only be escaped by embracing something better seems to fall on deaf ears. While Leo works to uncover the truth, Leah determines it will never surface.

I’m obsessed with books, chocolate, and sharp, pointy objects. Somehow, those three things melded together in my head and transformed into a desire to write. Usually fantastical stuff, with a healthy dose of action and romance. My characters are a little (okay, a lot) on the snarky side, and they swear, but they mean well. Even the villains sometimes.

When I’m not working on my next book, you can find me working on my dao sword form, spending time with my family, or binge-watching superhero shows on Netflix.

The Devil’s Due

DevilsDue_CV_Final_hiresAbout The Devil’s Due:

Forced to abandon his name, his country and the woman he loves, Frank Kelleher vows to one day return. But what awaits him when he does?

Guilty of a crime he didn’t commit, IRA soldier Frank Kelleher flees through the streets of war-torn Ireland with both the British and the Irish Republican Army trying to put a bullet in his head. He makes his way to America under an assumed name and with a forged passport, as the war in Ireland rages on. Settling in a new land, he finds he can’t let go of his past. Haunted by the fiancée he was forced to leave behind, by the deaths of three friends at his own hand, and by the country he was forced to abandon, Frank struggles to make his way in 1920s New York.

As much as he can’t let go of Ireland, he finds that Ireland can’t let go of him—and his past has a way of finding him, thousands of miles and an ocean away. He dreams of going home, but knows that it could get him killed. Then an anonymous letter brings news about his fiancée Kathleen and he realizes that he no longer has a choice. A cease-fire is declared and Frank sails home with dreams of finding Kathleen, putting his past behind him, and starting a new life.

When he arrives, he learns that the Ireland he was hoping to find—a united people finally free—was only a dream. With British soldiers withdrawing, long-standing feuds resurface, and Ireland is pushed to the brink of civil war. As tensions mount, he also learns that his sins will not be easily forgiven, and that he and Kathleen will never be safe until he clears his name.

If the looming war doesn’t kill him, trying to right the wrongs of his past just might.

L.D. Beyer is a reformed corporate drone who, after twenty-five years of missed family events, one day rose up and reclaimed his soul. Before he escaped, his career primarily involved relocating his family every few years—so much so that his children began to secretly suspect that he was really in the Witness Protection Program. He has yet to set the record straight.

Beyer is the author of three novels, two of which are part of the Matthew Richter Thriller Series. His first book, In Sheep’s Clothing, was published in 2015 and reached the #1 spot on three separate Amazon bestseller lists. His third novel, The Devil’s Due, is a standalone novel, an historical thriller set in Ireland during the 1920’s.

Beyer is an avid reader and, although he primarily reads thrillers, his reading list is somewhat eclectic. You’re more likely to find him with his nose in a good book than sitting in front of the TV.

Beyer lives in Michigan with his wife and three children. In addition to writing and reading, he enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, working out, and the occasional glass of wine.

A mad scientist fighting the laws of man and nature.
A demon-monster of mythical proportions.
A corporate conspiracy that goes back more than a century.

L. E. Barbant is co-host of the remarkably mediocre Part-Time Writers Podcast. When he’s not writing (or struggling to pay the bills with his day job) Lee spends his time reading everything from Greek dramas to zombie thrillers, babysitting his four monstrous nephews, and wishing he could fly. The Catalyst is his debut novel but if his superhero career doesn’t pan out, he’s planning on giving full-time writing a shot.

He lives outside of Pittsburgh with his lovely wife and a cat named Cat.

C.M.Raymond holds a PhD in philosophy, which qualifies him to write superhero stories but not much else. His home is in a river valley of Western Pennsylvania. Outside of reading and writing, he loves to spend time with his family in the woods and wilds or the city streets. Before writing The Catalyst, C.M. penned a middle grade/teen serialized fiction series called Arcanum Island, first for his sweet daughter, then for the general public. It is fast, fun, and full of adventure. Though written with kids in mind, many adults have also been taken by the mystery. Life’s short, sometimes ugly, and there are no guarantees. If she were to be hit by a bus tomorrow (which might very well happen), she’ll rest in peace knowing that a permanent record of her discoveries of the way, the truth, and the life exists for her family, friends, and anyone else interested.

The Dark Rift – Book One – The Last Artifact

THE-DARK-RIFT-EBOOK-COVER-webAbout The Dark Rift – Book One – The Last Artifact:

THE MYSTERY OF MYSTERIES…
BETWEEN TRUTH AND MYTH…
BETWEEN DARKNESS AND LIGHT…
WILL BE REVEALED.
When they come into possession of a mysterious prehistoric cube, relic hunter Gabriel Parker, and the alluring artifact historian Natasha Rossi, find themselves inexplicably bound to a dark mythology dating back to the roots of civilization. Throughout history the long lost Cube has been sought after by emperors, popes, and caliphs alike. It is believed to be a container of knowledge; a holy vessel capable of emancipating humanity from the confines of earthly mortality. Now that it has been found, demonic forces are surfacing to destroy it. Their presence marks the return of a potent nefarious entity that once reigned supreme in Earth’s distant reptilian past.
Under the apocalyptic shadow of global unrest and rampant natural disasters, Gabriel and Natasha battle to prevent this sinister blight from being unleashed. With nothing but a tattered journal to guide them, they race from Italy to Morocco, and finally to the mountains of Northern Spain where they must locate a Lost Labyrinth spoken of by the ancients. There, deep in a Sacred Chamber, they will find salvation for mankind, but not without a price. A cosmic clock is ticking. It marks the world’s entry into the oblivion of the Dark Rift, and the final days that remain.
