Author Bio:
Florence Love Karsner is a fifth generation Floridian who grew up in a rural Panhandle village near Tallahassee. In the late 60’s, she married a Navy Ensign and followed him from Florida to the South Pacific. In her travels she experienced different lands, peoples, and cultures all of which would forever influence her view of the world and provide ideas for writing. To maintain her interest in the arts, she painted, created pottery, and sang in the Sweet Adelines as she moved from Florida to Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and finally back to the Sunshine State.
On returning to Florida, she and her husband raised two daughters. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University, became a Registered Nurse, and began to pursue her passion for the art and science of medicine. The care of cardiac patients took her from the nursing floor to the cardiac catheterization laboratory to clinical research, ultimately becoming a Certified Clinical Research Professional. At the millennium, she was President of her consulting company which provided clinical research services to the domestic and international pharmaceutical markets.
Today, having retired from nursing and clinical research, she spends her time writing and creating pottery. She lives with her husband on the Intracoastal Waterway in Ponte Vedra Beach surrounded by the marsh, two rivers, a resident eagle, and untold hawks, egrets, raccoons and a few slithery friends.
