I will take you on my life journey from when I was a newborn puppy with my mother and siblings to my last days with my family and I will share with you how the actions of all humans help shape our behavior.

I will share with you some off my favorite places to visit as dogs we always love new adventures but as I look back I think of some of the memories that didn’t make it into my story such as my family trying to train me to carry the mail or bring them my leash before a walk. As I sit here thinking of these things I’m sitting with my paw over my face shaking my head and thinking Oh wow how that training did not go to well for starters I ended my getting doggie slobber over the mail, so they got wet mail.

Animals are sent to humans for a reason and many people have forgotten why. Maybe this is why so many pets end up at shelters. Do we find you or do you find us? If you are someone who has forgotten why then the answers will be in my story. I am extremely blessed that my mother can see the world through my eyes, listen to me and tell my story for me and hopefully it may just help one of my four legged friends from being taken to a shelter.

At the end of my story make sure to read the note from my mother she will let you know how blessed she feels and talks about her own thoughts from being a mother to us to how we discriminate dogs for being certain breeds.

Hi my name is Avril Herbert I was born in England and moved over to America in 2006 at the age of 25. I am a blogger, author and equestrian, growing up as a child I was always writing my mum stories. In 2014 I purchased my first horse who was a rescue, she was an off the track Thoroughbred and weighed 900lbs I named her Lady and it has been amazing watching her transform. I originally purchased her to pursue my love of jumping but she is showing great dressage potential I believe that animals come into our lives for a reason maybe she is going to bring out a hidden talent in me and I am very excited to be learning dressage and it makes me think about how I am going to tell stories in a completely different way through music and choreography.

I am not psychic but I do have a small sixth sense I do see, sense and feel spirits and energies and I do hear voices from my spirit guides. I am a huge believer in meditation I love just allowing my spirit and my guides to just guide me, I love the possibilities that come with exploring beyond the surface and unearthing something hidden deep within myself the universe as a whole invigorates me.

Apart from meditation, horse riding and writing I love the beach, enjoying a sunset or just being outside enjoying nature, I guess deep down there is a little bit of a hippy girl inside me.

Her research interests have been particularly focused on Cultural Studies (Folk Culture and Traditions) with special reference to Oral History, Oral Literature, Folk Religion and Folk Music.
Dr Ramdin has headed Tertiary Education Institutions as Head of Department, Officer-in-Charge and Assistant Director.
A successful freelance TV Screen Writer/Anchor/Producer, she continues to write and produce feature documentaries for the local National Broadcasting House, revealing unexpected facets of the national folk heritage of the country. Her TV Program Series are also broadcast on International TV networks such as TV 5 Monde (Afrique), Tempo and CIRTEF).
A known vocal artist, Dr Ramdin has also published several musical albums (33LP & CD), earning an esteemed place in the hearts of traditional music-lovers of her country.
A dedicated promoter of green causes, Dr Ramdin is also a naturalist (presently writing books on traditional medicinal plants), a lover of animals and a lover of Nature.
Dr Ramdin was recently awarded the Presidents’ Distinguished Medal for Services in Culture (PDSM) for her relentless contribution in the socio cultural fields of her country.
