Kathy Clark was born in Houston, Texas, grew up in Alvin, Texas and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas. She sold her first book to Dell for their Candlelight Ecstasy romance line in 1983. About Revolting:

Revolting is a an epic epic tale of love, loss, undead, and most important of all, WAR. The original plan was to release the book all at once as a graphic novel, but with all the time and money invested so far, I feel now is finally time to start getting the book out there. The story is complete, and all thats left is to finish what remains of the art which is currently being worked on and will be finished as quickly as I can muster.

Now, the story itself was an idea I have had for a long while. I love zombies and the apocalyptic tales that usually accompany them. I however felt a bit of a change was needed. Sure watching a rotting corpse walk around is disturbing subject matter.
But what’s even more disturbing is thinking there is an actual person still trapped in that decaying shell. It’s a lot easier to regard a mindless and decomposing eating machine as something that needs to be put down, but when that walking corpse is a loved one who still has their thoughts and emotions from before they died, the matter becomes that much more grey.

Imagine the horror it would be to watch a loved one suffer this fate. What is that loved one going through as they watch their own body decay, knowing that death has somehow become worse than life? Add on to that the eventual stigma a person afflicted with this disease would receive and how the world would likely treat them. If you were a person whose stature is less than that of an animals in the eyes of others, how would you respond? Accept that fate? Or fight against it?

In the story, a man will stop at nothing to save his wife from such a fate. But when he is betrayed by the last person he suspects, it leads him to make a choice. With that choice, the entire world will have pay the price, as it is embroiled in a war the likes of which has never before been seen.

The thoughts of how the world may react to events depicted in the books are mine of course, and I leave it to you. the reader, to see if they reflect your own.

I am a counsellor who holds a Masters Degree in Creative Writing from Birkbeck College, London.

My short stories for adults, The Chrysalis and For What It’s Worth have both been published, and my first novel, Winter’s Bite, won first prize in the 12+ fiction category at the Winchester Writers Conference, UK in June 2012.

Fever Quest, the sequel to Winter’s Bite was published in December 2014.

Growing up, Sundays were all about Mom, grandparents and church. I sang in the choir. The rest of the week I hung out with my dad and his friends, watching them play cards or dominoes. Somewhere along the line, things changed and eventually my parents divorced.

As a result of my parent’s divorce and my unwed teenage pregnancy, we wound up living in Compton, a gang stronghold of Los Angeles.

Our house was deep in the hood. In time most of my cousins, and brother, joined gangs. Because we lived in different areas, they were in rival gangs which made things very interesting at family gatherings. Warring loyalties are difficult to live with and hard to watch, but they make for good story telling after the violence is over.

Eventually, I married then divorced and struggled with being a single mother. Balancing kids, work, not enough money, not enough education, an occasional worthwhile or sometimes worthless boyfriend, and not enough self-belief, I lived many of the struggles I write about in my books.

Also, I do have the obligatory two cats that all authors seem to require so am somewhat prepared to write about Michelle’s kitten, Pink.
