Voices Over Troubled Water by Joe Rosato

Book-CoverAbout Voices Over Troubled Water by Joe Rosato:

On a rainy night in March 1958 Joe as a young boy of ten years old along with his younger brother are abandoned by their mother over Troubled Water. Joe desperately cries out loud with no one around to overhear him praying for help. That tragic night brings about hearing poignant voices that start to play an integral part in his life. This event haunts Joe while growing up from a boy into manhood causing him to always search for answers to why.
Relatives, teachers and mentors in Joe’s life begin to replace the lost love and guidance needed by a young boy to become someone worthwhile. These special individuals in Joe’s circle of life are quickly recognized and admired and give him the strong footing he needs to survive. Demands are placed on his teenage life that would destroy most young adults, but Joe finds the strength to overcome the bad pathways by those same voices over Troubled Water.
Along Joe’s journey in life Troubled Water shows its massive mind power at far reaching locations as he travels around the world while serving in the US Navy and the Vietnam War. He finds that there are some Troubled Waters that are finally at peace and those that are not and never will be.
A long time family secret is exposed accidentally which intertwines most of his elder family members and their silence for many years. This family secret enabled Joe to discover most of his long lost answers to questions that were thought to never be solved. Each and every one of these amazing stories in this memoir are true and have been experienced by the author.

Gray Panthers: Battle for Earth by David Guenther

graypantherbattleforearthAbout Gray Panthers: Battle for Earth by David Guenther:

Released on audiobook February 25th.
The year is 2126. It has been 30 years since Iran nuked Washington, DC.
America has traded security for liberty following the attack, with the suspension of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Constitution isn’t even taught in schools anymore. In this environment, Dan “D2” Daniels, a retired army NCO of the old breed, sworn to protect the Constitution, finds a crashed spaceship and learns that Earth will soon be invaded. Using the technology from the spaceship, Dan forms an army of fellow senior veterans with two missions: first to revive the republic they had sworn their allegiance to, and second to save that republic – and the world along with it.

Their first foray includes converting the CVN-80, otherwise known as the USS Enterprise, a rusting aircraft carrier waiting to be scrapped, into the first ship of the new space fleet of the Gray Panthers.

Cupid’s Quest

cupidscrossingAbout Cupid’s Quest:

The only life Gracie has ever known has been the nursing home and the residents who are like family to her. Now, she risks losing it all and her friends scattering to different homes if she can’t come up with the money to save the business.

Between caring for his ailing mother and running the family farm, Brandt is stretched thin. Too thin. When his mother begs him to enter a local scavenger hunt, win the prize money, and convert the farm into an orchard, he knows he can’t refuse her anything, so he reluctantly agrees.

While seeking clues to the scavenger hunt, Gracie and Brandt keep bumping into each other. Gracie’s always had a crush on him that keeps her from stringing two coherent words together. Brandt doesn’t understand why she dislikes him so much she won’t even talk to him. If the nursing home residents would settle down and stop getting into crazy shenanigans long enough, the two might figure out that they have more than a little in common.

Author Bio:
Lori Soard has a PhD in Journalism and Creative Writing, but she’s hardly the stuffy professor type. She loves nothing better than a good romantic comedy and thinks the good guy should always win and the ending should always be happy.

From an early age, Lori started honing her story telling skills. As a kid she was rarely seen without a book in her hand, even walking and reading at the same time. Her first stories were about the world around her. At twenty she wrote her first novel, which she admits was horrible. At twenty-one, she sold her first article to a local newspaper. Once she got that taste of having others read her work and realizing that she could reach others and touch their hearts, there was no turning back for this natural born writer.

“If I can make someone’s day just a tiny bit better,” Lori says, “if I can make them smile even though they are sad, make them think things could be better, make them understand how much God loves them, then I have accomplished something. I write my stories, articles and books with that one person in mind who really needs the message. If I can change one person’s perspective, then I’ve succeeded.”

Lori is a life-long Hoosier and lives in southern Indiana with her two daughters, husband and beloved pets. “During the extreme low points in life, it has been my animals that have seen me through. There is nothing like the deep devotion of a dog or the unconditional love of a cat.” Lori adores animals and while some of her dear friends have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge she will always stand by her belief that animals make the world a better place.

Lori’s author website is at lorisoard.com. She loves to hear from her readers and blogs regularly.

Author Bio:
Geoff started writing in 2003. He penned his first novel between Thanksgiving and Christmas that year. He had high hopes for it, of course, but errors plagued his first draft. He was driven to create an epic fantasy next, Juxta, Magi. Then he crafted a military sci-fi, R.A.E.C.E. Genesis.

He spent hundreds of afternoons during his formative years dueling over a hot box of dice playing tabletop wargames such as Titan and Axis&Allies. These games have strong military components and fantasy elements.

Geoff taught himself to program computers as a young pup. The first software Geoff developed professionally was a Chemical Weapons Attack Simulator for the USAF. He did it in Visual Basic 3.0 in Win3.11, on a 386SX16 processor. Since then he has built websites professionally and browser based multiplayer kingdom games.

When he first started writing, he had no clue how to find publishers or submit stories. He didn’t know how to fix all the errors in his manuscripts. It kind of hit him like lightning one day that Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH might have an English class worth taking. He discovered a plethora of writing classes, including the most awesome class ever, Text Editing. Geoff learned under published authors: Ed Davis and Tim Waggoner, among others.

As of 2015, Geoff has written eight novels and a novella. Most of them were self published. They were largely never sent to publishers, and he’s hoping to change his methods. He penned over fifty short stories. Fifteen of his shorts have been published.

For five years Geoff ran an eZine, Untied Shoelaces of the Mind. Being an editor, and having a slush pile to go through, has helped him grow as a writer. He quit mostly because he read one too many Man-Eats-Own-Leg stories.

Best Served Cold by Mark McGinn

BSC-webAbout Best Served Cold by Mark McGinn:

Remember what they say about revenge?
They were once on a jury together, forty years ago, when a man was executed for killing his wife. Now three of the four are dead, amid personal vendettas and accusations of pornography, and the last man standing is arrested for the murders.
It’s up to Sasha Stace QC to secure his conviction. But the case is circumstantial, the trial sensational, and nothing is as it seems. In her fight for justice, Sasha embarks on a course that imperils her life and endangers those she loves.
Best Served Cold is a fast-moving and gripping mystery/thriller with more twists than the rope that strangles its victims. Be warned.

“A great plot and cast of characters. A tightly written story that gripped me all the way to a terrific ending.” Paul Thompson, Editor-in-Chief, Fairfax Media.

Author Bio:
I live in Christchurch, New Zealand where this story is set and have a lovely family here and a business consultancy that helps others to select staff, develop them and ensure effective tools and techniques are in place to help them perform well. But before I got into this work, I had a lengthy career in the justice system and spent countless hours in trial courts, seeing the darker side of life. Those two careers have informed and fuelled my mystery and thriller writing. The offer for Best Served Cold is the first in a series.

When I’m not writing, I’m reading, watching dramas and comedies. Some of these are actually on TV or in the movies! I love food and wine so am required to manage my excesses on a dark age instrument of torture known as an exercycle with audio books or rock music in my ears.

Have a read of Best Served Cold. I’m sure you will enjoy it and if you do, please tell others and share the love by leaving a short review on Amazon. That last bit makes a huge difference to me because, the way the mighty Zon works (Amazon), it helps get my book in front of new sets of eyes.

And if you’ve read this far, you can have my short story for free also . It’s also on Amazon and called Perfect Cover, but don’t read it if you don’t like creepy stuff. Cheers, Mark McGinn
