A romantic comedy adventure…
Multimillionaire corporate head and heiress to a wine empire, Renée Cartier is used to being the woman in charge, with everyone jumping at her command. That is, until she has a run-in with the most insufferable man she’s ever met, Logan Dunn, the director of a school that she sponsors. She can’t wait to use her power to make his life miserable until, much to her chagrin, she falls into his trap, accepting his dare, which puts her under his control, answering to him, for a whole week. It ends up that this is the most eventful…and petrifying…week of her life. But it is also during this short week that she falls under Logan’s spell, realizing that he’s the man she’s been searching for, all her life.
Logan can’t wait to get revenge on the snooty diva who tries to get him fired. He devises a plan to get her under his control, with every intention of making her suffer the whole time she’s forced to work for him. At first he succeeds, but then the wily woman surprises him by surviving his challenge. When she turns the tables on him he soon finds that he’s the one fighting to survive. He’s in danger of losing, not just his dignity, but also his heart.

If only so many billionaires were available! But hey, that’s what fantasy and dreams are all about, right? With stories like these we can escape into a world where billionaire bachelors abound.
I fell in love with romance novels as a teenager and have never lost my passion for these stories of love and life, conflict and reconciliation, relationships and family. For me, it was a natural progression from reading romance novels to writing them (I’ve always loved creating stories of my own). There’s just one little problem – I keep falling in love with each new hero I create. Would you call that cheating? (smile)
When I’m not writing, I’m reading psychology. Fascinating stuff! My book shelves are loaded with textbooks, right next to tons of romance novels. My son calls me a book nerd and I proudly accept the title. What can I say? Books are my life!
(Oh, by the way, I’ve always been a lover of languages; I speak Spanish and French, and very basic German. I’ve decided to get my books translated into these languages. Please check out ‘Domado por el Multimillionario’ and ‘Von Milliardar Gezahmt’ – the Spanish and German versions of ‘Tamed by the Billionaire’. The French version will soon be available.)

About Robin Unaware, #4 in the Birds in Peril Series by Mary Elizabeth Fricke:
Life is constant change, sometimes planned, sometimes instant and devastating. For Stephanie Harvester-Garrett, life takes an abrupt curve when her husband is killed in a car accident.
Determined to secure a stable home for her three children, Stephanie returns to Missouri to be closer to family and to accept employment in her brother’s law office. A whole new world opens for Stephanie and her three children when they move into a log house owned by Hunt R&C employee, Todd Sellers.
Life appears to be too good to be true. Not only does living in the valley present the quiet, secluded existence Stephanie seeks for her children to heal their tragic loss; she finds means to face the world head on, the world where none of her family knew she and her husband were spiraling toward an ugly divorce. Much to her surprise she quickly finds herself in an intimate relationship with her new landlord.
Having been where Stephanie is, years before (when his wife died and he was left to raise their daughter alone), in the beginning, Todd only seeks to give Stephanie the support she needs to not only to survive but to embrace the future. Much to Todd’s astonishment, he falls as hard and fast and as deeply for Stephanie as she does him. Unfortunately, not all of Stephanie’s family approves of this new found relationship. The heartbreak comes from those she would have leaned on and trusted the most.
In midst of it all, several mysteries involving those of the Hunt-Harvester-Cromwell team begin to unfold. Pieces slowly begin to fall into place after Dan Pentherst’s accident the same night Dr. Ross Garrett was killed. When Todd’s home is broken into it becomes apparent someone embraces a sinister intent.
The dream of living a peaceful country life is interrupted by unexpected ghosts of the past, and hatred spawned in the name of love.

Portrait of a Secret Agent by Tina Tamman
About Portrait of a Secret Agent by Tina Tamman:
This is a book about belonging, loyalty and identity – the biography of a secret agent called Brian Giffey who wrongly believed that he was Welsh, but his mother was actually Canadian and his father German. Born illegitimate as Otto Chester Kurt Brian Petersen in London in 1887, he was brought up in Germany. On his return to Britain he obtained a degree from Oxford and, with the help of an unscrupulous lawyer, a military career became possible. Brian joined the Worcestershire Regiment in 1911. His intelligence career with MI6 started in 1928; he served in Tallinn, London and Baghdad. In 1944, however, he was mysteriously dismissed from the secret service, but in post-war years he represented Britain in Berlin on the denazification committee and, back in London, worked for the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain.
Brian was a specialist in Soviet affairs who knew the notorious Kim Philby. His biography helps us to understand how the Soviets used the information obtained for them by Philby. The
book is also relevant today as Russia flexes its muscles. What happened in Crimea in 2014 is reminiscent of the annexation of Estonia in 1939-40 experienced first-hand by Brian.
The book is also an unusual and moving love story. How was it possible for this middle-aged womaniser to fall in love with an inexperienced and immature Estonian girl to whom he remained faithful for the rest of his life?

One man on a decades old mission. A woman who hunts him. And the bullet they share.
Joe Klingler’s acclaimed debut novel explodes from the remnants of a war long past to headlines of Washington secrets masquerading as corporate incompetence when two modern-day warriors face off. Both skilled at violence. And deception. Both accustomed to winning.
Summer greets the land of the midnight sun as a lone rider races across the last American wilderness, delivering on a promise he made long ago. He has many names, but the world only knows a shadow called the Demon.
Claire Ferreti, an Army sniper soon to be drawn into a black-ops mission, sips sake in Washington D.C. with her lover, a young, ambitious General whose geosecurity specialty remains classified. When a boy finds a small machine, Claire and the Demon embark on a collision course that leads to a test of skill, a clash of ideologies, and Claire’s unconscious body lying in a typhoon-ravaged jungle. In that instant she becomes the hunted, the Demon’s tool for survival, and an unforeseen threat. As the General pursues them into a labyrinth of cyber-secrets, political necessity and financial reality collide like a fireball piercing steel pipe.
“Klingler’s debut offers a deep logistical jungle sure to entertain buffs and newcomers to the techno-thriller genre. Throughout, he displays fierce writing chops. Short chapters balance action and subterfuge with political thought targeted keenly at modern drone warfare.”–Kirkus Reviews

“You are always trying to keep it real, I’m in love with how you feel. I don’t see what anyone can see, in Anyone Else But You.” – Evie
“What is your problem?” she snapped at him as he sped through the parking lot. A few students jumped out of the car’s pathway and Evie wondered what was possessing him.
“I don’t have problem,” Matt snapped back and turned onto one of the side streets. They sped through the neighborhood and Evie wished that he would just slow down.
“Clearly,” she mocked and buckled her seatbelt. Evie watched as houses flew by and decided to leave him alone with his thoughts, at least for the moment.

Silly Elephant by Nadh Poduri
About Silly Elephant by Nadh Poduri:
Ephan is a silly elephant who loves to do silly things. He is forever teasing his friends and playing practical jokes on them, but they aren’t always well received. As he is going to bed one night his mother tells him to prepare for school the next day and teaches him how to tell the time so he’ll know when he needs to get there. But when he wakes up far too early the next day he decides to use the time visiting the neighborhood to see what fun he can have.
All of the animals are asleep but he soon finds ways to be silly at their expense. First he finds his elephant friends Billy and Jilly asleep in their hammock and ties their tails together. Next he sees mice sleeping in a den and ties balloons to their tails. Further along the road, he comes across a sleeping giraffe and twists his neck into a knot. When he sees ants sleeping by the river he puts them in paper boats and sets them adrift on the river. And finally, the sleeping snakes are put into cardboard boxes.
As he plays each practical joke, he sings very silly songs about the icky ants, messy mice and slithery snakes, while the clock ticks steadily towards the time he needs to be at school. When
he finally realizes he’s going to be late and scurries home to get ready, the other animals start to wake up and discover their predicament.
One by one the animals realize the only one who could have done any of these things is “silly
Ephan”. They are so tired of his silly games they decide to teach him a lesson by being silly
themselves. The ants march toward his home, the snakes slither along, the mice follow and so
does the giraffe and other elephants until they are all in Ephan’s backyard.
Ephan apologizes for playing practical jokes on them and asks them to let him go to school. The animals agree but insist on hugging him. As they hug him they paint the words “I am silly” on his back. As Ephan rushes to school the animals laugh at him. At first, he is happy they have forgiven him until one of the birds calls to him “Hi Silly”. He is annoyed that his name is not “Silly” and starts to wonder why they all are looking at his back. He turns around and around to look at his back but he can’t see anything.
Finally, he meets his friend Sid who also greets him with “Hi Silly” and explains what is written on his back. Ephan is shocked but realizes it’s the reason everyone was laughing at him. Sid washes the paint away with water and tries to hurry Ephan to school but Ephan knows the time and tells him not to worry because they are right on time.

The Law of Nature and Nature’s God
About The Law of Nature and Nature’s God:
Free for three days.
Kadashan began writing for the Juneau Empire newspaper because he became very much concerned about the way our government(s) were drifting from the fundamental principles the Founding Fathers of this great nation had established for us. Even though the paper is somewhat liberal, the Managing Editor thought he had something to offer—especially since Kadashan was Alaska Native. He had studied the U.S. Constitution when he was at Brigham Young University and was heavily involved in Alaska Native politics from 1993-2006. In his writings, he emphasized that “Native Americans,” and all Americans for that matter, should be concerned with modern day political issues. “After all we are Americans and live under the banner of the U.S. Constitution—the very instrument that was designed to protect us from the injustices of government,” he said. These commentaries arose from his writings in a monthly column called Kadashan’s Corner that he wrote for the Empire, The His political commentaries include his thought about Native American issues as well as American standards that coincides with Native American values. His essays gives us hope—hope that we can become a great nation if we relearn to follow the Natural Law and Nature’s God.

Author Bio:
Kadashan was born in Sitka, Alaska. His grandmother named him after her father, John Kadashan. The elder Kadashan was known by historians as Chief Kadashan, however in his later years he was regarded as a “peace-maker.” When he was only six months old his father drowned in a hunting accident. His mother decided to move back to her hometown of Yakutat, where she married his step-father. After his elementary school years in Yakutat he went “outside” to Holland High School in Holland Michigan and later to Mount Edgecumbe Boarding School near Sitka in Alaska. Kadashan did not start looking into writing before attending a creative writing class at Sheldon Jackson College. And even then, it wasn’t until during his time at Brigham Young that he learned the real discipline of writing. In 1992 he self-published a collection short stories. For six years he worked as a columnist for the Juneau Empire and statewide Native newspaper, the Tundra Times.
He learned a lot about tribal issues when he worked as the Tribal President of the Yakutat Tlingit Tribe. He drew from his experiences to write about politics for the Empire.
Kadashan is a contemporary author who draws his inspiration from the oral traditions of his Tlingit people. Of course, because of his Tlingit heritage, he is strongly influenced by traditional oral narratives, which stem from his education at Sheldon Jackson College and Brigham Young University, his work also reflects influences from Western Culture. Kadashan should not be regarded as an author torn between two poles, but rather as a mediator and like his great grandfather Kadashan is, through his writings, a “peace maker”.
