She has worked as a professional dancer, singer, journalist, and literature teacher (and not necessarily in that order—she likes variety) and holds a Masters in English literature. PG grew up on a council estate in Coventry, UK, and spent his formative years trying to plan his escape from the grey, joyless existence endured by the residents. He found the alternative life he sought when, at the age of eighteen, he discovered the island of Ibiza.
Here he lived for most of the eighties working as a DJ and party organiser. He was forced to flee Ibiza after he began an affair with the local Mafia bosses daughter. Jumping on the first boat off the island he sailed to Casablanca and so began a yearlong wander around North Africa.
On his eventual return to the UK he met up with a group of DJs from Ibiza and inspired by the all-night party scene they found an old warehouse kicked the door open and so began the birth of the warehouse phenomenon and rave scene in England.
PG admits to making obscene amounts of money from these raves and enjoying the wild side of life “to its full extent.” The drugs and party life took its toll and he blew all the money on living the rock star lifestyle.
