The Downing Street Plot – An Agent’s Revenge
About The Downing Street Plot – An Agent’s Revenge:
Spencer Hall, head of the British MI5 Security Service, knows it’s no ordinary day when top CIA field agent Jack Stein lurks near his car. He’s right, and when he learns of the looming internal threat, he knows it won’t be business as usual.
Hall must bypass usual communication routes and put increased trust in Jack when he learns of an assassination plot against the British Prime Minister. The plot’s KGB-hatched, but the assassin’s possibly homegrown—meaning Hall doesn’t know just how close the assassin is to the target.
Hall works close with Stein to put together a top-notch team to crack the mystery and stop the plot in time. After all, they can’t have a professional killer running loose on the streets of London. They reenlist old friends such as Virginia Dudley, who’s done intelligence work for both nations, and work fast. Failure would likely mean the end of their careers. Worse, if they get too close, it could be the end of their lives.

Fire War
Late in the 21st century, the United Continental States of America (or UCSA), comprising the former USA, Canada and Mexico, is running smoothly: unemployment has been all but eradicated, terrorism is quashed in the country, and internal dissent diminishes by the day. Most people thank President Meyers for this. Many can no longer remember when there was last an election, but as long as he keeps the country safe from the terrorist group Hariq Jihad (‘Fire War’), this seems a small price to pay.
Gunnery Sergeant Anthony Jackson is the model Marine: highly trained, absolutely efficient, and unquestioningly dedicated to his country. The only thing he can conceive of putting before his nation is his family, his wife Courtney and two daughters Maya and MacKenzie. Conscripted into the personal security detail of President Meyers, he begins to get glimpses that not everyone is as content with the current situation as he is, but attributes this to terrorist agitation and fringe lunacy. When his older daughter Maya begins to question the creeping erosion of personal liberties and the revoking of democratic rights, however, he begins to fear for her safety, as well as his own and that of his family. In a climate in which entire families disappear due to minor offenses, one can’t be too careful.
The tensions between liberty and safety, between family and country, will force Jackson to rethink all his beliefs, and lead to a collision with the system he has dedicated his life to serving.
Fire War is a suspenseful, gripping and unnerving examination of the paradoxes of power, the price of liberty, and the dictates of conscience. The world you live in will never look the same again.

Slammed: A Bad Boy Romance
About Slammed: A Bad Boy Romance:
My purity ring was perfectly fine until Nate ‘King’ Compton showed up.
The star recruit of the Panthers, inked up and out of control—He’s the campus troublemaker I know I should avoid, but I can’t. Problem is, I’ve been given the ‘privilege’ of improving his GPA… provided I can find a brain in all that muscle.
I don’t do bad boys. I do order and control, and he’s chaos. He’s the antithesis of my perfect princess world in every way. Still, there’s something deeper under those Caribbean eyes and cut body, a darkness we both share. I’m going to get to the bottom of it if it kills me, and given the way my heart hammers out of my chest every time he’s around, it just might.
Game on.

Author Bio:
I am an American author. My father was Romany and my mother was Jewish, When I was very young I learned about the Holocaust. I couldn’t understand how something like this could happen. So, I began to research and learn more. I met with survivors. I even met with children and grandchildren of SS officers. But I still had no answers. I cannot say that I have all of the answers to all of my questions even now. But what I do know is that soon all of the survivors will be gone. Their message must be remembered, the sacrifices that they made must not be forgotten. And so I humbly and with the utmost humility try to tell their stories. It is painful, but I must convey the darkness and horror of the time, but I also want the world the know and celebrate the unsung heroes. Because there were many ordinary people who acted in heroic ways. I realize that writing these books is a great responsibility. I pray every day that I am able to do this correctly. I am trying to reach out and touch many people, not with the message of the horrors but with the promise of hope. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my work. It is an honor that I never take lightly.
I send you many blessings, Roberta

Christmas is approaching fast. Here is a great gift; get it now!
Between the covers of this book are a collection of stories about a small village in southeastern Alaska where Native American Tlingits live. These stories are about a community with many trials and tribulations which are in abundance and the likes of which can be found in any part of the world. The author, Kadashan, describes an ever changing lifestyle that Tlingit people struggle with today. His stories are also illustrated with his own water color painting. This was a time when the Alaska Natives were transferring from a very reliable subsistence lifestyle to a cash economy. This was a very perplexing transition and D. Longenbough, writing for the Juneau Empire, put it this way, “Western society has thrown hard choices at Alaska Native children and their parents. The author makes us realize just what they’ve given up for us.”
Yevonne Mozee, who writes reviews for the Sitka Sentinel, observes this about Kadashan’s writings, “Not only does Kadashan have an appreciative eye for the world around him, but he brings to his fiction an appealing freshness with an often unexpected use of words—-his stories ring true—no doubt because, along with his expressive talent, he is deeply immersed in the life of which he writes”
Ted Strader visited Yakutat and bought this book. After he read it he sent Kadashan a card and observed this, “I like your style and your good heart behind your stories.” Kadashan was intrigued at the comment, because he does, indeed, write from his heart. It is obvious as one reads his other works that he is immersed in his culture and traditions.
Rosita Worl is a Tlingit Research Anthropologist and is familiar with the community of Yakutat. Her roots come from that area and her comment about Kadashan’s work is very complimentary, “Your writings are a true credit to Yakutat and your people,” she said.
His purpose is not only to entertain but to inform. German born Michael Gorch did his masters dissertation paper using Kadashan’s novel, When Raven Cries, and makes this observation: “Because of his Tlingit heritage Kadashan is strongly influenced by traditional oral narratives,”
Fredericka de Laguna is a renowned anthropologist and author of a three volume books called Under Mount Saint Elias; she spent several years in Yakutat in the early 1950’s recording stories, language, history and culture about the Tlingits from that area. In one of her communications with Kadashan she complimented him about his writings in a simple and a short forward manner: “Your scheme for writing about facts in the form of fiction is a good one.”
And so—he will continue to do so—–.

Author Bio:
Even though he might have a smidgen of Swedish in him my father, Kadashan, is a Tlingit Indian to the core.
Even though he now lives in Yakutat, Kadashan has roots that come from Sitka and Wrangell. His grandmother named him after her father, John Kadashan, from Wrangell. He was born in Sitka. That’s where his mother met his father while they were attending Sheldon Jackson Boarding School.
When he was six months old his father drowned in a hunting accident. About a year later she remarried, however the marriage did not last; it was through this union that I was born. About a year later, his mother moved to Yakutat. Here she married our future step-father.
The name Kadashan was given to him by his paternal grandmother. She named him after her father, John Kadashan, who later in his life, was a clan chief from Wrangell. Kadashan means “red tide coming.”
Kadashan’s formal education was received in Yakutat. His high school years were split between Holland High School in Holland, Michigan, and Mount Edgecumbe High School, a boarding school for Native Alaskans near Sitka, Alaska. His undergraduate work was obtained from Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, and later at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
As a youngster Kadashan learned from a Tlingit Indian friend, Peter Harry, how to express himself with oil colors. “He started me with oils,” he explains. “When I was in high school I started water colors.” His short stories have been published in the Alaska Native Magazine (ANM) and the Horizons Magazine. The ANM has used his water colors to illustrate his stories. The second printing of these stories are reproductions in black and white of his paintings. He has also written for the Alaska Magazine and the Alaskan Southeaster Magazine, and for about six years wrote a monthly column for the Juneau Empire.
His stories are local color. He takes a slice of life from the lifestyle, culture, history and tradition of the Tlingit people from his community, develops a plot and composites of characters from the village. To inform and entertain are the objectives for his writings and about the Tlingit Indians of Yakutat.
He is a retired commercial fisherman and is presently working on more books.
The poem in the beginning of this book was written by our mother when she was a teenager. She wrote many poems during those years. This poem, along with three others, was found among her possessions after her death; they were scribbled in a small, faded, note book.
The first printing of This Is Yakutat was published in 1992.
There are a few things Kadashan learned while trying to become a writer:
Number one is to read a lot. Read everything so you can overflow the filing cabinet of your mind with a myriad of information.
Second is to read creatively. He believes a writer deliberately leaves things out of his work so the reader can fill in the blanks.
Third, learn to get more out of a book than what is really in it.
Finally, all writers look for truth. It is through the process of reading a lot, reading creatively, and getting more out of a book than is really in it that writers come to an understanding of what truth might be. Once he or she discovers truth then, he believes, they have an obligation to share it with the world.
My father is no exception.
Robert G. Adams
