Special Levels of Earthly Hell: A Story of Demonic Possession Inspired by Actual Events

FINAL-COVER-ART-7-19-15About Special Levels of Earthly Hell: A Story of Demonic Possession Inspired by Actual Events:

Drew Collins is an atheist who experiences the world in black and white. As an educated man of science, he scoffs at the idea of belief in the paranormal. There is certainly no place in his life for demons.

But he has seen The Beast. It has taken possession of his wife. What he witnesses at night in his own bedroom cannot be reconciled with science. And yet he sees it with his own eyes, feels its evil presence with his entire being.

Against every instinct, Drew reaches out for help. It is not just his marriage that’s at stake. Drew must face a stark choice: sacrifice his beliefs and fight an entity he doesn’t understand and is reluctant to label, or abandon his wife.

The Tutor

The-Tutor_500x750About The Tutor:

Elements of The Sound of Music, The Enchanted Garden, Jane Eyre, and “true” ghost hunting shows make this story feel familiar. Gay love makes it unique.

Seeing an ad for a position at a Yorkshire estate, typesetter Graham Cowrie decides to make an upward career move by passing himself off as a tutor. How hard can it be to teach a few subjects to a pair of nine-year-old boys? But on his arrival at the ancient house, he finds the staff creepy, the twins odd, and the widowed master temporarily absent. His first meeting with brooding, stern, but oh-so-attractive, Sir Richard doesn’t go well, but with no other prospects vying for the teaching position, Graham manages to keep it. His mission soon becomes clear, break down the walls of reserve both father and sons have erected and attempt to bridge the gap between them.

But strange sounds, sights and experiences keep Graham on edge until he finally admits the Hall is haunted by two entities with very different agendas. Graham works to appease one and combat the other while protecting the broken family he’s grown to care for.

“Drawn to the Flames” Series – “Charisma’s Song – Part One” by Ariadne

DTTFv1p1-2400x1600-20150729About “Drawn to the Flames” Series – “Charisma’s Song – Part One” by Ariadne:

In the romantic San Francisco Bay Area, Kate Hadley sells a multi-million dollar dream home to the man of her dreams…only to learn he resides in the dreams of a dozen other women, too.

Kate’s a smart, hard working single mom, fighting her way to the top of the real estate profession. Sasha Hadley, her naively sexy daughter, is ready for college but not ready for the men who will pursue her now that she’s turning eighteen. When Harrison Hill, fast moving investments guru, professional bachelor and collector of captured hearts, walks into Kate’s office looking for a celebrity house, he walks out carrying Kate’s hopes and ambitions for herself and Sasha.

But will having one Hadley be enough for Harry? And what of the other women in his over-heated sensual life?

“Charisma’s Song” is a three-part serialized 45K word short novel. Each part is a short story, often with a delicious edge-of-the-bed-hanger ending. Each “Drawn to the Flames” novel tells a complete story as the series progresses.

Author Bio:
With the “Drawn to the Flames” Series, Ariadne, of the red thread fame, returns to weave a new saga of searching and discovery in hidden depths. She invites the reader to join with the tough, beautiful, hard-working single mom Kate Hadley, and her smart, sassy, barely legal daughter Sasha as they find their dreams centering on Harrison Hill, mega-rich founder of Hill Financial Advisers, the top investment company in the romantic San Francisco Bay Area.

No stranger to the inherent comedy of humans in heat, Ariadne tells her tales of sexy exploration through the eyes and actions of the dozens of richly detailed main and supporting characters. Through the stories, Ariadne weaves a yarn of dense and colorful fabric, of sexual awakenings and challenges, of betrayals and loyalties, of secrets and sorrows, of lies that may not be lies, and not always clear truths.

She brings her cast of characters to life in realistic settings and circumstances, reflecting her own adventures among the rich and powerful. She has flown on the private jets, has known real-life billionaires, and has traveled to the places and stayed in the amazing inns and resorts she writes about. Kate and Sasha and their romantic lodestar Harrison Hill come to life based upon Ariadne’s wide knowledge and painfully-gained understanding of men and women through the long saga of human history. In sharing the journey, the reader will be sharing the world of one who is a seeker and visionary and historian of human sexuality as much as a storyteller.

Ariadne’s life and her personal triumphs and many disappointments are the best possible qualifications for spinning, weaving these tales. But she also benefits from her collegiate years in Berkeley and New York City, her work as a systems design and development professional, her years as a jet-setting marketer and consultant, and her successful stints as a senior corporate manager and international seminar leader.

Even closer to her stories are her affairs on four continents, her extensive travels, especially in Europe, and her long residence in Tokyo.

“Would You Mind Repeating That?” Uncork a MInt of Phrases and Timeless Sayings for Your Brain. by Richard A. Delia

cvrhiressAbout “Would You Mind Repeating That?” Uncork a MInt of Phrases and Timeless Sayings for Your Brain. by Richard A. Delia:

You hear them. You see them. You say them. In everyday speech, these expressions are thick as ticks on a coondog. They come as natural as breathing. Now . . . find and use the wit and wisdom of 15,000+ Americanisms, bromides, clichés, epigrams, figures of speech, idioms, maxims, platitudes, proverbs, tongue twisters, spoonerisms and memorable doggerel to entertain and amuse you and your friends. For language lovers of all ages who enjoy the creative use of English, this diverse collection of phrases differs from all other works of its kind not only by its rich scope of content but also, for quick reference, by grouping entries according to similar meaning.

How many ways can you say “Agree”? Under that category, Richard A. Delia’s just-published volume, “Would You Mind Repeating That?” lists no fewer than 160 idioms that connote or confirm assent, from the classic you know it, you got that right, and you can say that again, to more colorful variants such as you ain’t just whistling Dixie, no arguing that, and just what the doctor ordered. Add in the 35+ entries under “Yes,” and you’ve got nearly 200 ways to declare that you’re on board, with the program, or up for it. The Table of Classifications lists more than 700 categories.

30 Years of Research
According to Delia, a native New Jerseyan and former creative V.P. at Ted Bates & Co. Advertising in NYC, the book’s origins date back to the last century. Obviously he did not hurry to bring his opus to the world. (Advertising Age and The New York Times published his first author’s queries in 1981.) “I kept waiting for the book to be finished,” he notes; “until I realized that as long as people keep inventing new ways to say things, it will never be finished.” Hence he opted for a Christmas rollout in 2014.

Reader praise has been enthusiastic. “A priceless piece of Americana,” one reviewer put it, while another noted, “. . . the sheer number of aphorisms, witticisms and quirky phrases Delia has been able to amass and arrange is as amusing as it is astounding.” One reported that, “. . . your book was very popular with my Christmas recipients and I’m ordering at least 3 more.” “Music to my ears,” Delia grins. He points out that the work includes not only timeless (and timeworn) phrases but fresh and original coinages, many never before seen in print.

To Put it Another Way . . .
Weighing in at 320 pages, the book is a hefty compendium with 15,000+ entries. What sets it apart from all other anthologies of sayings, according to the author, is the grouping of phrases by similarity of intent or meaning for easy reference. Readers are presented with numerous choices to express a given idea all under one classification.

This diverse edition is meant for language lovers of all ages, including professional scribes—from copywriters, speechwriters and public relations writers to playwrights and journalists. Not sold in stores, the glossy softcover is available from Amazon.com or CreateSpace.com (for Awesomegang.com discount on CreateSpace, use code XHJD2FL4). Just after the book was published last year, some lucky language lovers did manage to score delivery for their gift lists by December 24 because, as Delia quips, “they were able to order ‘chop-chop,’ ‘likkity-split,’ or ‘stat!’ ” This year there is plenty of ‘wiggle-room’ for ordering, he says, noting that the book makes a wonderful gift for word lovers all year ’round–from birthdays, back-to-school and graduations to Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or an inexpensive but unforgettable stocking stuffer at Yuletide. Don’t be surprised if you hear a growing buzz about this book . Lovers of word fun agree, “It’s the bee’s knees!”

About Masturbation for Weight Loss, a Woman’s Guide: Revitalize Your Sex Drive, Get Healthy Thin by C C Davis

If you’re overweight and you’re not being satisfied sexually, there could be a connection. Whether you’re conscious of it or not, you might be overeating because of a lack of sexual fulfillment. Psychotherapists have understood the connection between sex and food for over 100 years, so why haven’t weight-loss specialists looked into this?

When I stopped having sex, I put on weight. I didn’t make the connection. Then I became intrigued by something Dr. Oz said, “Healthy sex may help control the amount of food you eat….”

Well, I wasn’t in a relationship, so I started thinking about masturbation, which was hard to do because I didn’t want to have sex, much less sex with myself. Still, I did a little Googling and found that masturbation is a medically-recognized term for a “normal and harmless activity that is performed by most people” and has a lot of physical and psychological health benefits: reduced stress and anxiety, better sleep, better mood, increased sexual desire, increased confidence and self-esteem, better thinking and coping mechanisms, less sadness, and relief from aches and pains. Plus, women who experience more orgasms are shown to have greater resistance to type 2 diabetes. Did you know that? I had no idea.

I learned that stress or a decrease in sex hormones can cause women to slip into a state and habit of non-sexuality. I started reading the works of women sexologists dating back to the 1950s, and learned how to go about regaining my sex drive. I kept reading and got inspired. I started masturbating, even though I wasn’t in the mood… at least not at first.

After a couple weeks I noticed that I wasn’t as hungry during the day and not snacking at night so much. But the big surprise was that when I turned myself on, food cravings turned off.

After another week or so, I got my sex drive back. I was more relaxed and happier. Things that used to bother me, didn’t bother me as much. And without exercising more or dieting, I was thinner. It occurred to me that I really had been using food as a substitute for sexual fulfillment.

I don’t think masturbation will solve every woman’s weight problem, but I think it will help many. From personal experience, friends, and bloggers, there seems to be a cause and effect relationship between a lack of sexual fulfillment and weight gain, and between sexual fulfillment and normal weight.

Why not try it? It’ll take some practice but in a few weeks, you just might weigh less and feel better.

I’ll share with you what I found out about bringing back one’s sex drive, no matter how many years it’s been, regardless of age, how to achieve orgasms consistently (a problem of mine since forever), and which products work well for me and others. I’ll help you get over or at least come to terms with the stigma that’s associated with female masturbation. And for couples, I’ll show you that, when women masturbate, it improves sex with their partner.

This is a fast read, only about 45 pages. Why not try some of the recommendations and see how it goes? You just might find that what you thought was a sweet tooth is really your G-spot.

MARRIAGE MESS-UP: The smug couple gets married and spends a happy year together. Gradually, however, dark clouds infest their world. Some abstract force, some unsaid differences begin to draw them apart and they confront the reality—the love that had dragged them to the altar has now altered a great deal. They separate.

THE OTHER ‘SPECIAL SOMEONE’: Radhika goes back to her hometown, Boston, and takes up a reckless lifestyle. She also gets involved in a not-so-legit relationship with Ryan, who is engaged to an actress. Andy dates a painter, adopts a little girl and is apparently satisfied.

So what lies beyond the clouds? Beyond the tragedy of their divorce? Will Andy find the same happiness in his relationship with Ness that he’d found initially with Radhika? Will Radhika remain a shadow in Ryan’s life or will he break his engagement for her sake? Will they see the sunshine or will there be more tragedies?

A strange girl named Tessa Masterson asks Michael about her future, and what he sees sends him back to Sam—is Tessa victim or perpetrator?

Author Bio:
In his head, Jason Parent lives in many places, but in the real world, he calls Southeastern Massachusetts his home. The region offers an abundance of settings for his writing and many wonderful places in which to write them. He currently resides with his cuddly corgi, Calypso. In a prior life, Jason spent most of his time in front of a judge… as a civil litigator. When he tired of Latin phrases no one knew how to pronounce and explaining to people that real lawsuits are not started, tried, and finalized within the 60-minute time-frame they see on TV, he traded in his cheap suits for flip-flops and designer stubble. The flops got repossessed the next day, and he’s back in the legal field… sorta. But that’s another story. When he’s not working, Jason likes to kayak, catch a movie, travel any place that will let him enter, and play just about any sport (except for the one with that ball tied to the pole thing where you basically just whack the ball until it twists in a knot or takes somebody’s head off). And read and write, of course. He does that too sometimes.

Youngtimer: Adventures In Time by G. G. Fulton

Carly-Cover-400-x-600About Youngtimer: Adventures In Time by G. G. Fulton:

Follow Carly, and her best friend Patti, on this romp through time, as they carry out Carly’s big plans: Flip the Skip, Adventure Down Under, One True Direction, Greek Sisters, and 1989 Rewind. You’ll have a blast (from the past), with plenty of fast-paced action and adventure.
***
Twelve-year-old Carly loves her Grampa more than anyone else in the world. So when he dies suddenly, under extremely bizarre circumstances, she is devastated. A few days later, her Gram tells her that Grampa left her something and hands her a box.

What could Grampa have left me that would fit in a box this size?

When she opened the box and read the letter Grampa had included, along with a journal and a strange looking key, she was so shocked that for about thirty seconds she questioned her Grampa’s sanity.

This couldn’t possibly be true! Could it? Then, little things about Grampa when she last saw him, started to nag at her. The dark tan. The weight loss. The scraggly beard stubble. And… how exhausted he looked.

Could it really be true?

But, really… what other explanation could there be?

Although it seemed “way out there”!

Way-Way-Way out there!

UFO OUT THERE!

I started believing in the last words Grampa would ever say to me.

I live in Fort Myers, Florida with my husband, Rick. G.G. Fulton is my pen name for my children’s books. I have written two other books using my real name. Writing is my passion, but I also enjoy reading and traveling (I wish time traveling, but alas, it is not yet possible in the year 2015).

I’ve always had an affinity with tweens, so I very much enjoy writing for this age group. I would’ve loved to read the stories I’m writing when I was a tween myself. As a twelve year old, a teacher gave me an A++ and wrote “this is the work of a college student” on my story about a boy in the Crusades in the 14th century. I was hooked.

I love fun and adventure, and no matter how old I am on the outside, that is never going to change. I will always be young at heart.
