I was born and raised in a small town in Ohio named Urbana. As I grew older and lived in different area’s of the US, friends teased me about growing up in Mayberry. Maybe they were right. I have great memories of my hometown!

I graduated from Urbana High School in 1985. After graduation I went into the United States Marine Corps and proudly served my country. After the Marines I returned to Urbana and went to work right away. I stayed in the area until 2004. That year I moved to Florida for ten years. I made some very good, close, dear friends while there. In 2014 I moved back to Urbana.

As a teenager, I started writing poems, and what I liked to think of as song lyrics. I loved music, and of course, I dreamed of becoming a rock singer when I “grew up.” Of course, I realized pretty quickly, I don’t have much of a singing voice!

I kept writing though, and the older I got the better my writing became. I never in a million years would have ever thought that I would publish a book though. I hadn’t even thought of publishing until I was finished with the first draft of Little Girl.

The idea for Little Girl came about in what I think is a strange way. The story started bouncing around in my head for awhile. I started writing it down with the idea of it only being a short story. I had no intention of even thinking of publishing. But, as I started writing down the story, it quickly grew. The characters started to develop into full people. And the storyline grew and grew.

Aside from writing, I also enjoy crocheting, cross stitch, walking, bicycling, listening to music, dining with friends, and amusement parks. I love animals, and hate when people are cruel to them. I love having fun with friends, old and new.
