Author Bio:
Beth Madden, born in Brisbane, Australia, knew from age eight that she was meant to write. She is in the process of writing several fantasy novels which she aspires to publish both in print and electronically. Under the Bright Water is Book 2 of her Treading Twisted Lines series. Together with Books 1 and 3 (The Chosen Voice and The Rat), it was originally released in 2012. With Suddenly Calling’s publication (Book 4) on 16 July 2015 drawing near (it took long enough …), she hopes to share the entire Treading Twisted Lines series with many new and lovely readers.

Studying at university from 2006, Beth received her Bachelors of Science and Arts in 2009, majoring in biomedical science, psychology, and Japanese. From mid-2010 until mid-2012, she worked in Kyoto, Japan, as an assistant English teacher. Her experiences there lent to the conception of the Treading Twisted Lines series, and continue to influence much of her writing.

A music enthusiast, Beth sings soprano in the Queensland University Musical Society. She also plays piano, and has played cello, guitar, and attempted clarinet in the past. Her favourite sport is swimming (she’s not fast, but has fair technique), her first favourite band is adult alternative group My Friend the Chocolate Cake (she grew up listening to them—they make just gorgeous music), and, if given a choice Beth would most likely choose dragonflies over butterflies. This said, she quite likes butterflies as well, and has nothing whatsoever against butterflies or people who favour butterflies over dragonflies.
