Talon: The Windwalker Archive Book 1
About Talon: The Windwalker Archive Book 1:
*FREE* Beginning June 23
From USA Today bestselling author Michael James Ploof comes the epic debut of an exhilarating new fantasy adventure series.
TALON: Book 1 of the Windwalker Archive follows the early years of a unique boy, a fifteen year old runt living on the barbarian island of Volnoss. Born premature during the frozen plaque that took his mother, shunned by his father, and raised by his grandmother, Talon has always felt like he doesn’t belong.
For years he dreams of growing big and strong like the giants that surround him. But as the day of measure draws near, he begins to realize that he will never be named a Vald, and will be cast to the village of the Skomm to live a life of slavery.
Barely surviving the beating that follows his failure to meet the measure, Talon is banished to the village of misfits. There he finds friends in the most unlikely of places, and begins to hope he might find some happiness as a Skomm.
As Talon tries to settle into his life in the slave village he is challenged at every turn. The Vaka overseers have it in for him, as does the Chiefson of Timber Wolf Tribe. The Kelda Agaeti is drawing near, called by the Skomm the night of dying, when seven warriors from neighboring tribes win the right to go on a bloody rampage through the village.
After barely surviving a random attack by drunken Vald that left nearly a dozen dead, Talon and his friends decide that they must somehow escape the island. For Chiefson Fylkin has vowed to kill him first on the night of dying.
What follows is a fast-paced race against time, an underdog story wrought with action and adventure, rich with magic, culture, friendship and lore.

The Butterfly & The Snail by Mary Sullivan Esseff
About The Butterfly & The Snail by Mary Sullivan Esseff:
FREE eBook, June 23-24 on Amazon.com
A tenor’s voice, passionate and pure, draws shy Rebecca Butler into the Studentenheim’s crowded social room. Finished singing, Khalil Khoury notices her sitting alone, joins her, then notices no one else. Georgetown University’s 1964 summer program opens; Salzburg’s magic begins.
The Butterfly & The Snail interweaves several heartfelt encounters, creating a fabric of love and intimacy that transforms their lives forever. On one outing, Rebecca loses her footing and tumbles down Untersberg Mountain. Khalil risks his life-and almost loses it-to save Rebecca from falling off the peak. Two days later, Rebecca discovers a newborn butterfly and then spies a snail picking its way up the path. These creatures come to symbolize this couple’s extraordinary relationship. Relaxing on Gaisberg’s hillside, Rebecca reveals the turmoil she’s had to overcome to gain inner peace. Yet, she confesses, her heart’s desire-love-has eluded her. When Khalil reacts with sympathy and compassion, she desires that powerful, mystical love radiating from within him. She asks, “How can I love like you?” His answer binds them together forever.
Six weeks later, the program ends. As Rebecca says good-bye, Khalil hands her an envelope: “Not to be opened until out of Salzburg.” Is this his auf Wiedersehen or the beginning of a deeper relationship? Discover if their magic continues beyond Salzburg.
Travel from the glorious hills where The Sound of Music was filmed that very summer in 1964 to the age old oaks on the campus of a small Catholic girl’s college in Philadelphia, PA where the beautiful Rebecca Butler begins her senior year after having a love-filled summer. Then, travel from the halls of the Jesuit Theologate in Woodstock, MD where Khalil Khoury, in his 12th year of studies to be a priest, goes to the star-studded stage of The Ed Sullivan Show to perform with the Woodstock Jesuit Singers on the Christmas Special, 1964.
Has the magic of Salzburg penetrated the heart and soul of the young priest-to-be as deeply as it has infiltrated Rebecca’s heart? Can he love her as the little sister he never had as he professes? This inspirational love story is a page turner that keeps you up all night hoping these two young people will not be star crossed but will overcome the many difficulties and indecisions they face to unite in everlasting love.

Mary Sullivan Esseff is a writer and publisher of professional training materials, freelancer, online journal author and software creator.
Mary was born in 1943 in Philadelphia, PA. She met her husband, Peter, in 1964 in Salzburg, Austria while she was enrolled in a study program through Georgetown University. At that time, he was studying to be a Jesuit priest. Their story was so enchanting that her friends urged her to write a book. So she did.
In 2012, Mary’s inspirational story about meeting and falling in love with this soon-to-be-ordained Jesuit, The Butterfly & The Snail, won one of the top awards in the Transformational Author Experience Writing Contest created by Transformation Catalyst, Christine Kloser. Her readers wanted to know what happened next. so she wrote the sequel, Wedding Tales, Book One: Love’s Journey and Book Two: Honeymoon Caper. The sequel tells the story of Mary and Peter’s alter egos, Rebecca Butler and Khalil Khoury. I also tell how the wedding guests were snowed in after the reception due to the blizzard of 1966 that crippled the East Coast for a week. During that time, they tell tales about how and why their ancestors fled from Wattenscheid, Germany and Beirut Lebanon. All three books are page turners. Reader say that once they started, they read throughout the night because they had to find out what happened to these amazing characters, based on real-life events.
In 1969, Mary, with her husband, Dr. Peter J. Esseff, co-founded a training company, Educational Systems for the Future®. Together they have written thousands of instructional modules and trained clients all over the globe how to be professional trainers.
Mary holds an AB degree in English Literature from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA and a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. She also studied at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA; Georgetown University, Salzburg, Austria; Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA; and The Maryland Institute of Art, Takoma Park, MD. In 2005, Mary was honored by Chestnut Hill College to be a Charter Member of the Libris Society. Members were selected because they exemplified one or more of the qualities celebrated in the College’s motto Fides-Caritas-Scientia (Faith-Charity-Knowledge).
She has been able to draw on her tenacious wit and rare humor even when difficulties arise. When she had breast cancer, she invited friends to attend her April 1st hair-razing party, either wearing a hat or with a shaved head–well, no one actually arrived with a shaved head. During her year of treatment, she blogged an e-journal, Amazing Grace: Notes From a Breast Cancer Survivor.
With her husband, Mary has visited countries all over the world for business and pleasure, traveling in 2011 to Lebanon where Peter’s family gathered for a fabulous wedding. Peter’s Lebanese-American culture has inspired Mary to write a series of “Khalil Khoury” stories, including, Her first fictional work, “Love Made Visible,” a short story, was published in 2000 in the Anthology “Three Naked Ladies Playing Cellos,” an arpeggio of works from a group of on-line writers who met through a writers’ website, DarkStormy. Mary and Peter live in Tampa, FL. They have three children and three grandchildren.

A Fighter’s Desire – Part One by L.P. Dover
About A Fighter’s Desire – Part One by L.P. Dover:
Two is always better than one.
What would you do if you were given the chance to spend the night with not one, but two fighters? Would you do it? Could you open yourself up to the pleasures they offered and do exactly what they said in order to pass on to the next round?
It was common knowledge that Ryley and Camden Jameson, well-known MMA fighters and identical twins, were just as aggressive and passionate in the bed as they were in the ring. The only problem was that if you didn’t pass their test on the first night, then you didn’t proceed to the next round. They loved a good fight, and that’s what they got when they met Ashleigh Warren.
Ashleigh knew what was going to happen when the twins approached her with a proposition, and needless to say, she knew exactly how to handle them … or so she thought. The rules had changed, and in order to get them both she had to first spend one night with each and last until they were done with her. It was a proposition she couldn’t refuse, but she knew it wouldn’t be easy to win. However, it was one that she was going to enjoy.

Under Wraps (Werewolves vs. Mummies Book 1)
About Under Wraps (Werewolves vs. Mummies Book 1):
Never explore an ancient Egyptian tomb. That was the first rule of adventuring. It was right before never, ever be the last one alone inside. Thes Mercer did both of those things. Now, this Alpha werewolf has just one goal, to get back home before Ancient Egypt is engulfed in a turf war of godly proportions.
It’s too bad he broke the third rule of adventuring, too. Don’t fall in love with the mummy princess.

Author Bio:
When J. A. Cipriano was in second grade, his teacher gave everyone in class a journal to write down whatever they wanted. Their first subject was to write about something they didn’t like. J. A. chose to write about why he didn’t like writing. His reasoning was simple. He had bad handwriting. Even then, he was destined to be an engineer due to his messy scrawl.
Unfortunately, he found through the course of this little adventure that he actually liked writing. That year was sort of the high point for his writing career because he won a writing contest for the state. He got to go to a big dinner and his teacher was all dressed up.
He kept writing little stories, year after year, and in sixth grade, won another contest. In seventh grade, he broke his arm and got the cast signed by both Dean Koontz and Stan Lee. It is, by far, the coolest cast he’s owned. That was about the time he found video games and anime. His writing turned mostly toward fanfiction until about ninth grade when he wrote his first novel, a small book about twenty thousand words called Revelations. In sophomore year, he wrote two more books to complete the trilogy because he saw Star Wars that year and learned trilogies were the cool thing to do.
He rewrote Revelations during his senior year, and his wife swears it is the best thing he’s written. J.A. is not so sure. Every time he reads it, he cringes, but then again, he hates everything he writes, so there is that.
It was about that time, he got heavily involved in a fanfiction writing group, but that isn’t one hundred percent accurate. It was a world based on a popular anime but everything was created especially for this world. It made it so that every story someone wrote was unique.
Imagine writing a Star Wars novel set 1,000 years after A New Hope, where everything that happened was a distant memory and you get the idea. You have the force, some distant memories of the past, and that’s pretty much it.
He wrote about a million words (863K to be exact) for them before he decided to do his own thing. He wrote another novel. He put it in a drawer. He wrote another one that eventually became the basis for The Hatter is Mad. His next novel was Kill It With Magic, his first real novel. It’s not bad, but it’s bumpy. This is unfortunate because the books get loads better as the series progresses.
Since then, he’s written six more novels, four of which are in the Lillim Callina Series, and one in the Abby Banks series. The other is stuck in a drawer for time undetermined. He’s writing his next book now which is about werewolves fighting mummies in Ancient Egypt. After that, he will move onto Abby Banks 2. The Spy Within will come out in June or July.
J.A. also has three chinchillas. Two of them are grey, and because of this, they are named Slate and Cadmium. The third is named Jet because he’s black, and Jet is old English for black. See, creative. He also has a cat named Turtle. This does pose problems for his two-year-old from time to time.

Captain William Carlisle, newly returned from India, is elated when he meets Sebastian. He thinks Sebastian might feel an attraction as well, but to his dismay, he discovers that Sebastian is courting his sister Dorothea.
After a semi-arranged engagement and a disconcerting romantic tangle with William, Sebastian escapes London to look after his manor, only to face mysterious thefts, a headless ghost, and the arrival of his fiancée, her brother, and his family. Sebastian’s new estate sits on the south coast, England’s most vulnerable location, and Napoleon has set his sights on conquering the area. Amid this growing turmoil, Sebastian must sort out his feelings for his fiancée’s brother and keep his home safe . . . and determine if he has the courage to reach for his own happiness in the process.

Dare to Resonate: Break Free of Self-Doubt and Unleash Your True Worth as a Musician by Krista Brubaker
About Dare to Resonate: Break Free of Self-Doubt and Unleash Your True Worth as a Musician by Krista Brubaker:
*Discounted price ends Friday, June 26th!*
Fear – Identity – Redemption – Joy. The gang’s all here.
Have you ever wondered if your creative contributions are really worth anything? What happens when self-doubt and false beliefs latch on to our art?
The stumbling blocks to a musician’s pursuit are numerous: fear of failing to perform well, accusations of inadequacy, risk of being vulnerable, and harsh criticism are among them. It is so easy to begin to view our personal worth through the lens of how our music compares to others and how much other people like hearing what we have to offer. “Musician” can be an appealing identity to wrap ourselves in, but basing our self worth on our ability to create and perform can turn into the biggest stumbling block of them all.
The pursuit of anything worthwhile will be faced with resistance. The stories throughout this book will show you why it’s important to break through that resistance and find what awaits on the other side. The fight to overcome fear and doubt is worth it when you discover you’re capable of more than you ever thought possible.
Knowing that it’s important to pursue your passion is usually not the issue – it’s believing it, and acting on that belief.
Creating art and music is often part of the search for significance we all face. This book will reveal how true significance and worth can be found when we connect. It’s not based on a perfect method. It’s based on a relationship with a perfect God. Learning to let Him create through you will foster an extraordinary combination of fulfillment, joy, and bulletproof self worth.
He doesn’t require you to meet certain standards in order to have a relationship with Him. God wants you to bring your imperfections and fears, and let Him exchange them for the significance that will allow your art to have a greater impact than you ever imagined.
Do you long to connect with others and with God in a way that resonates through their hearts and yours? We are not meant for a life full of numbness, doubt, or fear. The creative expressions within you are an important part of sharing in the abundant life that God desires for us, and they deserve your best effort to bring them to life. Creating these resonant connections will not always be easy.
It will require courage. It will require vulnerability. It will require sacrifice.
It will be worth it.
Do you dare to resonate, friend?

Krista was introduced to music when her mom started giving her piano lessons in grade school, but after she picked up the cello in sixth grade, she decided to focus on learning to play music primarily as a cellist. She’s played the cello for over half her life now, and loved it for nearly half.
Despite times of doubt with whether or not pursuing music was the right direction for her, Krista has found that God seems to continually bring her back to it. Her experience as a musician started out with classical training, but along the way she found that her heart connects to many different genres, so she’s started to explore what the cello can bring to styles beyond its comfort zone, and hers.
Krista grew up in Morton, Illinois, and was blessed to have a varied childhood, participating in everything from Scholastic Bowl to district soccer to marching band. She attended Lindenwood University, where she graduated in 2012 with a degree in Instrumental Music. Krista currently resides in the St. Louis area with her sister and slightly cross-eyed cat.
