The Law of Nature and Nature’s God

Natures-Law-Cover2About The Law of Nature and Nature’s God:

Free, Free, Free, Free

Kadashan was born in Sitka, Alaska. His grandmother named him after her father, John Kadashan. The elder Kadashan was known by historians as Chief Kadashan, however in his later years he was regarded as a “peace-maker.” When he was only six months old his father drowned in a hunting accident. His mother decided to move back to her hometown of Yakutat, where she married his step-father. After his elementary school years in Yakutat he went “outside” to Holland High School in Holland Michigan and later to Mount Edgecumbe Boarding School near Sitka in Alaska. Kadashan did not start looking into writing before attending a creative writing class at Sheldon Jackson College. And even then, it wasn’t until during his time at Brigham Young that he learned the real discipline of writing. In 1992 he self-published a collection short stories. For six years he worked as a columnist for the Juneau Empire and statewide Native newspaper, the Tundra Times.
He learned a lot about tribal issues when he worked as the Tribal President of the Yakutat Tlingit Tribe. He drew from his experiences to write about politics for the Empire.
Kadashan is a contemporary author who draws his inspiration from the oral traditions of his Tlingit people. Of course, because of his Tlingit heritage, he is strongly influenced by traditional oral narratives, which stem from his education at Sheldon Jackson College and Brigham Young University, his work also reflects influences from Western Culture. Kadashan should not be regarded as an author torn between two poles, but rather as a mediator and like his great grandfather Kadashan is, through his writings, a “peace maker”.

Author Bio:
Kadashan’s Christian name is Bertrand Adams—is Native American who received his education from Sheldon Jackson college and Brigham Young University. He was raised as a commercial fisherman in the Southeast Alaska region in the small village of Yakutat, but was also employed as a social worker, a power plant operator and lineman, and served as the elected President of the Yakutat Tlingit Tribal Council for twelve years. He finished his later years of gainful employment as a salt water captain near the ocean of Yakutat Bay. From these experiences he was able to understand human behavior which helped him to write about events and people that really mattered.
While in college he began to write short stories, and in his later years he wrote a monthly column for the Juneau Empire for about six years. He drew from his experiences as tribal president to write essays about politics, and tribal governments, the U.S. Constitution, and issues focused around the natural laws.
Kadashan is retired from his work and now spends most of his time writing. He lives in his hometown of Yakutat where he spends most of his time writing with his wife and near his children and grandchildren.

Kadashan book should be seriously read today because it warns America about the dangers of legal plunder which is a beginning to the embracing socialism.

Father Made Me Do It

father-made-me-do-it-bcAbout Father Made Me Do It:

Charm Livingston’s life is hell, literally. As a vengeance demon, she resides in the underworld until a furious soul calls upon her to exact revenge in exchange for ten years in hell. Being a demon is bad enough, but as the daughter of the devil himself she has very little wiggle room for escape. And escaping is all she’s ever dreamed of, leaving the bowels of hell and becoming human is the one dream she knows she cannot have… or can she?

When a man is murdered by one of her fellow demons, the now grieving fiancé calls upon Charm for help. Charm’s psychometric power helps her replay the events leading up to the man’s death. In the midst of arranging justice for her client she meets the angel that was the killer’s target. He’s injured and she saves his life, despite the repercussions her actions could have on her own soul. Daddy dearest wants the angel dead, and she derails the devil’s plans.

In return, the angel agrees to help Charm with her greatest wish, except that ascension isn’t going to be easy. She’ll need to pass through the thirteen levels of the underworld by passing thirteen tests in order to overcome the realm of purgatory and reach the Hall of Akashic Records where her soul can be reborn.

In Father Made Me Do It, she faces her first test and begins her journey from the underworld to mortal life while she continues to carry out her duty as the justice demon. The fine line she treads is fraught with danger, and her naivety in human ways will take readers on an emotional roller coaster of tears and laughter.

Working as a Dominant at The Basement, I could tell you some stories! None of them are as twisted as the one I’m going to share with you. You see, Miss Madeline’s got a secret.

It would surprise my clients, those who pay me to dominate them. It would surprise Ian, my sleazy boss, who loves to cheat me out of my pay and handle the help, if I let him get away with it. The only one not surprised? The one who holds the secret, my lover, artist Jason Merrin. He knows I don’t always need to be the boss, that when I come home, sometimes it’s the last thing I want. He can step up and keep me in line whenever I need it.

Salsa or Die by Allyson R. Abbott

Salsa-or-Die-450wAbout Salsa or Die by Allyson R. Abbott:

A Hen Lit, not a Chick Lit
A moving, but also humorous love story about a couple in their sixties who are struggling to cope with the new lifestyle changes forced on them through redundancy. Pam, the narrator, wants more from life, while Jeff her husband of forty years wants peace of mind.
“The relationship…is one that anyone in a couple can understand and relate to; especially those that consider themselves to have sunk into a rut. The threat of something new challenges their old way of life, even something as simple as salsa dancing”. C.S from the UK
Salsa offers Pam an opportunity of excitement each week, particularly as Victor, a regular, takes a fancy to her and becomes determined to help improve her moves. She struggles between the loyalty to her husband and the draw of a new adventure.
“The use of a first person narrative is an interesting approach to this story as it automatically brings the reader in on an equal level and allows them to be privy to the inner most emotions that the narrator feels.”

I ‘m very lucky to have the indulgence of time and space to enable me to write. I took a sabbatical from work to accompany my partner on his bucket list travels and adventures, and never went back. I really thought I would struggle with all the free time, so decided to write to keep myself occupied. Now writing has consumed my time and I am never sure where we will be or when, hence my novels could be classed ‘international’ as they may have been written across a few countries. We are still travelling, although we do pop back to the UK for a few months every now and again.
I love the fact that no matter what our age we can use new technology to connect to the rest of the world and enhance our lives. Back in the UK I have my friends and family and with emails, phones, skype or face-time, we are never out of touch for long. Even my mother at eighty-six uses face-time to catch up with me. I have the world at my fingertips and only twenty-four hours away from anywhere.
Being a ‘mature aging gracefully’ woman, I feel akin to the problems of aging and relationships. I spent many years on my own before finding my truly remarkable and very patient partner who I happily gave up my whole world for. My stories are about mature relationships with mature people. People who have character and humour, who have a history; people just like us.
I like to call it Hen Lit, not Chick Lit, but it is not just about falling in love. They are about real relationships.
I hope you enjoy my stories. Please check my web page or social media pages if you would like to contact me. I love emails and try to answer every one as soon as possible.

Guernsey Retreat

Guernsey-Retreat_front_finalAbout Guernsey Retreat:

Book is free from 5/29 – 6/1

Two violent deaths. Separated by time, but with a fatal connection…

A man loses his father. A young woman loses her mother. Both in tragic circumstances that lead, when they meet, to surprising revelations from the past.
Louisa needs to find the father she has never known, to warn him of possible danger – for them both. Her search takes her from England to Guernsey. Malcolm’s journey is more tortuous: conceived in Guernsey, he travels to Canada as a baby with his bereaved mother. Many years later he arrives in India, and from here he is led back to Guernsey to open a health centre at La Folie. This was his father’s home, where Malcolm was conceived, but never lived and where his father was killed at the start of the Second World War.
At the heart of the two deaths lie stolen jewels. Valuable enough to kill for. Twice.
Finding her father brings Louisa more than she bargains for, and her life is transformed, while Malcolm learns that life is, after all, for sharing…

Night of the Fae (Ana Martin Series # 1) by Lyneal Jenkins

COPY-FOR-amazon-smallerAbout Night of the Fae (Ana Martin Series # 1) by Lyneal Jenkins:

Intl. Multiple Award Winning, Bestselling Novel

“I love you,” he murmured as the wisps of light returned to his body.

What he didn’t say was that his love came with a heavy price and life was never going to be the same again.

Twenty-six-year-old Ana Martin has a past she is trying to forget. When she meets Gabriel, she believes that she can finally leave her troubles behind her. But Gabriel has a secret…

He may look human and be born of this world, but he is Siis – a race who evolved millions of years ago to a conscious state, who now take solid form to hide among us.

When the homeless start dying at an abandoned Tannery, the police chalk it up to suicides. Ana knows different. The Siis have a secret, a past mistake they would rather forget, one that puts Ana in more danger than she can ever comprehend.

Before long, she becomes a target for the Fae, once innocent children changed by the Siis thousands of years before. They are able to intensify and feed off the negative emotions of their prey, and are filled with malicious intent that has no bounds.

Can Ana survive the world of the Siis? More importantly, can she do it with her mind still intact?

Night of the Fae is the first book in the Ana Martin series, which follows Ana as she is drawn into the secret world of the Siis, an ancient race of empathic beings torn apart by war, treachery and the consequences of past actions. Hidden Light (Volume 2) and Frozen Flame (Volume 3) are available to buy now. The Last Prophecy (Volume 4) is due for release at the end of 2015.

Author Bio:
My name is Lyneal Jenkins. I am a mother of seven (three are mine, four my partners) and the owner of a crazy Springer Spaniel with an obsession for lights – real or imagined. We all live in a three bedroom house (no, not a typo) and I write full-time around the children.

I have always been creative, and every Christmas, I make a gift from all the children. Sometimes they are complex, such as a wedding dress for my youngest daughter, and sometimes easy, like drapes to surround their bed. I used to design novelty cakes for a living, and, to be honest, I am better than most men at DIY. It wasn’t until I started writing that I realised that my creative projects were merely a bid to find that one special thing – writing. From the moment the Ana Martin Series gripped me in 2011, I have been hooked.

I suffer from Bipolar Depression. Although this can be hell at times, I manage to control it well – at least my support worker thinks so. I have long learnt to use it to my advantage, drawing on the extreme emotions in order to experience my characters trials more.

I love reading and can’t sleep unless I read at least a few lines. I also love chocolate, far more than I should. I have needed to cut back on this since I stood on the Wii board and my Mii suddenly expanded in front of me, becoming round. My children found it hilarious, me – not so much, though, it motivated me to start exercising more.

I love all of my family dearly, and enjoy spending time with them whenever I can, whether it be trawling museums or putting the world to rights over a cup of tea.

Although I love the Ana books, I wasn’t convinced I was any good. I could read the story over and over again, but I had written it. Then Night of the Fae was a finalist in the Indie Excellence Awards in cross-genre and was a finalist in the Readers’ Favorite Awards in fantasy. All four books in the Ana Martin Series have received the Readers’ Favorite Five-Star seal. Although I still have some doubts, especially when in a depressive bout, I no longer feel crippled with fear when I write a new book. It helps that I continue to receive fantastic reviews from bestselling authors around the globe.

To date, I am 50,000 words into the next Ana novel, and 70,000 words into a YA fantasy novel. I love my job and am looking forward to writing many more books.

Please, feel free to contact me on any of the below links. I love to hear off my readers.

Blow Jobs: A Guide to Making it in Show Business, or Not! by Dolores DeLuce

low-res-coverAbout Blow Jobs: A Guide to Making it in Show Business, or Not! by Dolores DeLuce:

BLOW JOBS: A Guide to Making it in Show Business, or NOT! is a cautionary tale–not for the squeamish or faint-of-heart. A “How Not To” filled with juicy, side-splitting autobiographical stories that will burst the bubbles of Hollywood dreams and delusions. While dropping more names than the Beverly Hills ‘Who’s Who’, Dolores went from being Dean Martin’s maid to a bimbo’s slave that led to pubic hair trimming on XXX film sets. She dressed David Bowie, and The Ramones and endured humiliation as a nude extra in a Rob Zombie horror classic … and more.

Readers who devoured the Counter Culture Diva’s confessions in her first memoir, My Life, a Four Letter Word, will be delighted to know that this follows her to Hollywood where she admits to being a whore for show business and did almost anything to survive in Hollywood…except for taking a day job. She defends her choices: “I needed to keep my calendar open for auditions.”

She warns the reader, “If you can’t handle the truth and nothing but the naked truth, beware of BLOW JOBS: A Guide to Making it in Show Business, or NOT!

Lucy longs for freedom, far from the Hazmat-suit-latex-gloved existence she knows.
When supplies cease to exist, sixteen-year-old Lucy and her Mom leave on a mission to find The Light.

The Light is led by the Nobleman; born their prophet, he’s always carried that weight alone. Until he discovers Lucy’s secret ability to hold light in her hand.

Lucy’s connection with the Nobleman bares The Light’s dark motives, forcing her to decide between love and freedom

Author Bio:
Anya Monroe likes to write stories and paint words on her walls. She believes in love at first sight and fights for happily-ever-afters. As a wife and mom to six kids, she carves out time to write between carpool pick ups and date nights because words are her heartbeat.

She lives a ferry ride from Seattle and is a total Pacific Northwesterner who drinks chai lattes and wears Birkenstocks. She’s a cliché, but doesn’t mind it. Not even a little.

She documents her lovely-messy life on IG @anyamonroe and blogs at www.anyamonroe.com. Find her there!
