Greetings Readers!

My name is Adrienne, I’m 29 years old, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve made plenty of plans for the future while in your late teens and early twenties, only to reach 26 or 27, and see that life doesn’t always line up the way you think it will. In fact, if you’re anything like me, I imagine this came as somewhat of a devastation!

I wrote this book because I think I speak for most, or all, of the population when I say we all really just want to attain some sort of happiness in life. Although none of MY plans came to pass, I do see that God had a plan for my life that was much better than anything I’d ever imagined. It wasn’t until I surrendered my entire life, will and being to Him that I learned that true fulfillment and joy comes from doing and being what God created you to do and be. Sometimes His will doesn’t line up with ours, have you thought about this?

Happiness is a temporary feeling, but the joy of The Lord lasts for a lifetime, regardless of the current mood. I have this joy inside of me, and it comes from knowing that my steps are ordered by The Lord. Through this book, I wish to encourage young adults and those approaching their early and mid-thirties, to surrender their entire being over to God. There’s no need to go on a lifelong journey to “find yourself”, when all you have to do is go to The Creator and ask Him why He made you. After all, no inventor will create anything without a purpose in mind for it beforehand.

Why not give God a try? I mean, really, what do you have to lose? I encourage you to read my book, which contains a series of entries for everyday life, that will help guide you on your journey into mature adulthood. Many of these entries came from lessons that I’ve learned the hard way over the years. I pray that you will read The Young Adult Devotional, grow a little wiser, and go on to be everything that God designed you to be!
