THE ANGEL IN LA is a gripping, nonfiction novel combining absolute realism, humor, and a moving, supernatural twist. While on the tennis tour, Merritt is confronted by an angel in Los Angeles who guides him with a directive. From this point forward Merritt is haunted and oppressed by his heinous nemesis alcohol in a clash of Darkness versus Light. Although it is seemingly winning, causing Merritt to become homeless and a fugitive of the law, he never forgets the angel who tenaciously pursues him and spurs him towards recovery.

If you have ever been curious what really goes through the mind of a chronic alcoholic/addict, then walk with Merritt and get a firsthand peek into the secret underworld of alcoholism, which lured him into boundless depths of assorted self-indulgence beginning in Los Angeles. Hollywood Dirty Money by Just Ryan

superspace_hollywood1About Hollywood Dirty Money by Just Ryan:

They say that all drug dealers eventually get caught. But I’m proof they don’t.
I’m not what you’d think. I’m not in a gang and I’ve never killed anybody. My business was as straightforward as any other: I bring the product, you bring the cash, we make the exchange, and voila. It went like this 99% of the time.

Being a mid-level cocaine dealer in Hollywood, California, I bypassed a lot of the dirt and negativity associated with drug use and dealing.
Coke is, after all, a rich man’s drug. Businessmen, actors, singers, music executives, and big shot movie producers made up most of my clientele.
I promised myself that I would make as much money as I could– in six months. After six months I’m out.
In that .5 a year I made a bundle of cash, experienced places and situations I never would have otherwise, rubbed shoulders (and railed lines) with Hollywood big shots, and became the source of the party for some A-list celebrities.

Some of it may seem unbelievable; some of it will seem outright stupid… For what it’s worth, I assure you it’s all true, to the best of my recollection.

This is part 1 of 2: the first three months.

Rocked (Lost in Oblivion, book 1) by Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn

ROC_new-600x900About Rocked (Lost in Oblivion, book 1) by Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn:

Love definitely wasn’t on the setlist. Opening for their idols on their first tour, Oblivion is living the dream – mostly. Bassist Deacon McCoy only comes up for air long enough to recover from their unexpectedly grueling life on the road…and to tease the deliciously cute chef who makes him crave a lot more than what she’s offering on her serving plate.

FREE only for a few more days!

USA Today bestselling author Cari Quinn likes music and men, so she figured why not write about both? When she’s not writing, she’s screaming at men’s college basketball games on TV, playing her music too loud or causing trouble. Sometimes simultaneously. Taryn Elliott is obsessed with rock stars, men, and her unending playlists–maximizing these things seemed like a very good idea. When she’s not writing, she’s losing hours to hot men on TV, and/or a graphic design project. Multitasking is her middle name. They decided to combine forces and found that hey…this writing deal is even more awesome when you collaborate with your best friend. And so Lost in Oblivion was born.

Dismissed by Kirsty McManus

dismissed_coverAbout Dismissed by Kirsty McManus:

The second Lizzie White lays eyes on her new English teacher Brandon Thomas, she is hooked. Brandon is young, cool and sexy – and nothing like the other teachers at her school. But of course he is forbidden from fraternising with the students or forming any sort out of outside hours relationship. And combined with the fact that Lizzie’s best friend Taylor declared her feelings for Brandon first (and has therefore claimed theoretical ownership), Lizzie decides it’s all too hard and focuses on a budding relationship with fellow student and class clown Gabe instead. But then Jason shows up. Jason is Brandon’s trouble-making twin brother who seems to have no qualms about flirting with students or leaving a trail of broken hearts wherever he goes. Before she knows it, Lizzie is dragged into a confusing world of blurred lines and lustful thoughts, where loyalties are tested and true feelings are explored.

The Anti-Ageing of Harmony Richards by Fiona Jane Collins

theantiagingofharmonyrichards-1-2About The Anti-Ageing of Harmony Richards by Fiona Jane Collins:

‘What was wrong with her? One minute she was fretting over her husband, the next she was lusting over another man, and a very young one at that. He only looked about twenty-five. It was absurd. Stop looking, stop looking, she told herself. He’ll think you’re a cougar. He’ll think you wear leopard print blouses and fluffy mules, and drink Dubonnet and lemonade. Get a bloody grip.’

What would you do if you discovered the real reason for your husband’s proposal…and she was younger than you, prettier than you and out to get him back?

Harmony Richards is forty-five, swallowed whole by a marriage she’s insecure in and a chore-ridden motherhood she can’t escape from, and dismayed that her looks are beginning to fade. If that isn’t bad enough, she finds out her husband of twelve years has a Lost Love. A one that got away. Except she’s not away; she’s back. And her arrival makes Harmony feel her life is in faster free-fall than her face.

Surely stalking the lost love, flirting with a man young enough to know better and taking on an unexpected new challenge can’t possibly make things worse?

The Anti-Ageing of Harmony Richards is a funny, feisty chick lit novel which features not one, but TWO mother-in-laws, a hot Australian personal trainer and a VERY drunken night out. It also shines a light on what it’s like for women in their forties in an age-obsessed culture. If you like British chick lit, a good laugh and a little bit of swearing then this book is for you!

Author Bio:
I live in Essex, England in a rambling old farmhouse which I share with my three children (four, if you count my husband, he’s arguably the most badly behaved of the lot) and a very noisy cat. Seriously, that cat is loud. He’s worse than a newborn baby. He wakes me in the night by meowing by my bed and I have to escort him downstairs to his (already full) food bowl. I knew I should have got a dog.

I’m a full-time mum and a writer. This means I alternate between frowning at my lap top and vacuuming up loom bands. I’m an expert at that. I also like going to the gym and doing art, especially portraits. If you read my book, you may think I also like getting my nails done and spray tans. This is not the case. I researched spray tans for the book and let’s just say ‘never again’. I am still scrubbing brown stuff off my knees, a year later.

I used to be a TV presenter, many moons ago, when I lived in Hong Kong in the 90s. I met a few famous people. Can I name drop? Jeff Goldblum (wow! What a charismatic man. I was quite taken with him), Bryan Adams (nice guy, was rocking some geek chic glasses that day, I have photographic evidence), George Clooney. Oh yes. What a nice man he is. I have a photo of me and him in my downstairs bathroom. We both look quite a lot younger. I had to point out to my children that it WAS actually me!

I wrote The Anti-Ageing of Harmony Richards because, quite frankly, the whole ageing thing was getting me down. It’s horrible to look in the mirror and think ‘Hang on! That’s not MY face!’ It’s fine though, honest, I can cope with it (sniff!). With the character of Harmony, I wanted to explore what the dread of ageing was like for someone who has never been quite sure of her marriage and who suddenly acquires a younger rival. It’s bad enough feeling that your face is sliding down your neck without some young beauty turning up and making a play for your husband!

The book won Debut of the Year in the Chick Lit Uncovered Book Awards 2014, which I was really chuffed with. This is what they said about me: ‘Fiona has a brilliantly witty writing style and her talent as a chick-lit writer is very clear in her debut’. Isn’t that nice?

If you do read the book, I hope you enjoy it.
