Facelifts, Money & Prince Charming: Break Baby Boomer Myths & Live Your Best Life
About Facelifts, Money & Prince Charming: Break Baby Boomer Myths & Live Your Best Life:
Is aging a disease?
Is self-love a myth?
Can youth be reclaimed after 55?
Does happiness have an expiration date?
These are just a few of the questions Baby Boomer advocate and Hollywood actress, Joanie “McGranny” Marx, boldly addresses in her new, eye-opening book, “Facelifts, Money and Prince Charming: Break Baby Boomer Myths & Live Your Best Life”.
With a rapidly aging population, the desire for living a lengthy and quality life is shattered by media stories that paint a grim picture of those over the age of 55 as slow, unsexy and obsolete. By addressing the myths behind these stories, Marx reveals the secret for undoing the fears of being discarded, unseen and abandoned as we age.
Showing where and how to break the seven myths that shaped the lives of Baby Boomers and all generations that follow, Marx passionately debunks mythical claims that there is not enough love, happiness and success to go around. Along the way she reveals the power of forgiveness and gratitude, as she poignantly weaves in the complex and emotionally charged relationship with her mother.
If you’re tired of feeling shamed and blamed into mediocrity, this inspirational book is the key to unlock the hidden treasure for how to live your best life and not the life the media says you should be living. Whether you’re a Baby Boomer or part of a generation that came after them, this is a must-read book.

An accomplished character actor on stage, film and television, Joanie Marx is known for her boundless creativity and consistency in delivering riveting performances that audiences can relate to and be inspired by. Her career has spanned both the world of entertainment and business, as a full-time professional actor, and the founder of
a successful multi-million dollar company.
Joanie is also a passionate baby boomer advocate, whose first book, “Facelifts, Money & Prince Charming: Break Baby Boomer Myths & Live Your Best Life!” boldly addresses how to break free from the seven Baby Boomer myths that keep people from loving themselves and living an abundant life.
According to Joanie, the image the media has sold to the world of a Baby Boomer is not even close to being accurate. Determined to change the frightened image people have of aging, Joanie was inspired to create her popular character, McGranny, who boldly shows how anyone can reinvent their life through the McGranny concept
“Drive-Thru, Make It Your Own®”.

A Sort of Justice by P. E. Sibley
About A Sort of Justice by P. E. Sibley:
Mark Praed is a half-alien, half-human with a skill from his Kyreen mother that makes him a valuable asset at the Commonwealth Intelligence Service: he can read minds.
As a CIS agent, Praed uses his abilities to run a covert operation on Ludmalia, an alien planet conquered by a warrior race some two hundred years in the past. His goal is to help humans and Ludmalian rebels escape the planet after a coup by a militaristic dictator. But when his superior turns traitor and defects, Praed is captured, tortured for information by the man, and traded back to CIS.
Praed vows to track down the man that betrayed him. He transfers to the Commonwealth’s counterterrorist task force in order to use their resources to locate his traitorous commander. There he is teamed with operative Alexandra Lansing, an auburn-haired beauty who is also a by-the-book veteran of two years. Alex isn’t fond of change and is none too happy to be working with a partner who can read her mind.
Alex and Praed travel to a resort planet in an attempt to discover the source of an illegal arms pipeline. Their mission is to carry out routine surveillance on Jonathon Reul, owner of the planet, who is under suspicion of selling arms to anti-Commonwealth terrorists.
Praed finds it difficult working with a partner after two years on Ludmalia, running an operation without interference from a colleague. Alex is all about the job and wants to micromanage his process of investigation. He finds her meddling more than annoying. And her intense curiosity about his past is too intrusive for his liking.
But as ghosts from his past rear their ugly heads, their simple observe and report operation quickly becomes a life or death battle and a race against time to apprehend their quarry before he slips away.
An Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award quarter finalist, A Sort of Justice is the first novel in a series.

For P. E. Sibley (a.k.a. Pat Sibley) writing is a passion, or perhaps a compulsion.
She was born, raised, and educated mostly in Orange County, California. A voracious reader as a child, she became interested in writing early on. She wrote her first short story in second grade about an ant. It ended rather abruptly when the ant was smashed by a foot.
She graduated from the University of California, Riverside with degrees in medieval history and technical theatre (both guaranteed to keep her employed in other areas). By the time she reached her mid-twenties, she was living a near-gypsy existence, moving from one city to another. She traveled to Europe several times (Scotland is the preferred destination) and to the Middle East, and tried numerous occupations including climbing telephone poles, picking oranges on a kibbutz in Israel, and managing a bookstore.
She returned to school for a Teaching Credential from Cal State University, Long Beach mostly because they had an exchange program whereby she could do her student teaching in Hampshire, England.
She moved numerous times more—mostly eastward and northward to San Francisco and then Sierra Nevada mountains—and now resides in rural Eastern Washington State with her husband, a wolf-canine mix, a cattle dog, and a cat that believes she is really a dog. Hobbies include shoveling snow in the winter and gardening in the summer months.

The Leonardo Trait by Angie Dixon
About The Leonardo Trait by Angie Dixon:
Creative people are weird, and it sucks. But it doesn’t have to.
We know our brains aren’t like other people’s brains. We think the difference in our brains is “the problem,” but it’s not.
The problem is that we think our brains should be like other people’s brains. We feel weird. We feel we don’t fit in. We think there’s something wrong with us because our brains are different.
Some other people also think that we’re weird, that we don’t fit in and that there’s something wrong with us. Fortunately, those people are unimportant. Yes, even if it’s your boss or your mother-in-law. Sure, in that case they’re important to your life in some way. But what they think doesn’t matter because they don’t get a vote about you.
The people who get a vote—the people who love you for who you are—they don’t think you’re weird, or at least not in a bad way. They don’t think there’s something wrong with you because you have a different brain. They love you for who you are. And a huge part of who you are comes from…your brain.
The people who love you also know that your brain is different. They also know that’s a good thing.
So you have this different kind of brain. If you’re awake, the inside of your mind is like a browser with eleventy-seven tabs open, at the same time that 17 radios are blaring at full volume on 17 stations as different as they can be, all while 81 video monitors project vivid images into your brain’s visual cortex. Did I mention that 37 of those video monitors have sound accompanying the images and the others play music in different languages?
So, yeah. Being creativecan suck sometimes. It’s not just the sense of being weird, but also the sheer weight of all the stuff going on in your head. Add in the pressure of feeling like you’re “supposed” to be able to think, act and feel like people who don’t have your brain, and it can all be a little “too much of a muchness,” as a friend of mine liked to say.
Creativity can suck, but then there are those moments.
Those moments when you’re talking to your best friend about stupid television cartoons, and out of your mouth rolls absolutely the most perfect idea you’ve ever had.
Those moments when you’re talking to another creative person or to someone who really gets you, and you suddenly realize that you are, in that moment, exactly the person you’re supposed to be.
Those moments when you’re trying to come up with a character for a story and one of the voices in your brain says, “Immortal pirate astronaut,” and you immediately know how to make that work.
The thing is that we tend to think those moments are the exception, and left out and weird is who we really are.
We’ve had it backwards all along.
We really are brilliant and special and, yes, amazingly and profoundly creative.
We just didn’t get the owner’s manual for our brains when we got them. I’m sure it was a simple oversight.
I decided that people like us need, more than anything, an owner’s manual for our brains.
So I wrote one.
It’s called The Leonardo Trait, and this is what a couple of readers have said about it:
“It was so weird, and so neat, reading a book about me by someone I’ve never met. Angie Dixon captures exactly what it means to be multipassionate and mulitalented, and gives creative people permission to be exactly who they are.” – Godfrey Coppinger, professional storyteller
“I really love all the connections you make. And as someone who’s never really identified what’s going on with my “multi-passions,” it’s great to have it laid out” –Katherine Tomlinson
I believe that you are not just creative and interesting and, yes, weird in a good way, but also special. I believe you’re a Leonardo. Welcome home.

I’m Angie Dixon. I’d like to tell you a bit about who I am and what I do.
First, I hate talking about myself in the third person, so I’m not going to.
I have known I was a writer since I was five years old. I took all the paper off the shelf.
My teacher told me to put it all back except one piece.
My best friend Mark stood up and said, “She’s going to write a book.” As only a kindergarten teacher can Mrs. Carnahan said, “Well, then, she’ll have to write it one piece of paper at a time.”
So I did. I’ve written more than 35 books, most of which are no longer available.
Here’s what I write now:
Creativity: I’ve now written three editions of The Leonardo Trait, my book on life as a profoundly creative person Juggling multiple projects and ideas while trying – and failing – to fit into the world the way other people seem to.
Career Search: I first wrote the career search Guide Your Heart’s Work in 2009 as a gift for my best friend. I’ve recently split that book into topics for several focused guides, now published as the Your Heart’s Work Series.
Personal Growth: I’ve been writing about personal development and self-help for nearly 20 years. I’ve recently updated some of my older work and started writing new books in a series called Your Best Life.
Children’s Picture Books: I love to write, and I’ve recently started a series of kids’ picture books, called the Kids Discover Series, which I write under the name A. D. Dixon.
Whichever of my books grabs your interest, I hope you’ll enjoy reading my work.

The Law of Nature and Nature’s God
About The Law of Nature and Nature’s God:
The premise of Kadashan’s essays is focused on the Natural Law.
Free for two days
The premise in this book is on the Natural Law. Here Kadashan discusses why the Founding Fathers based the U.S. Constitution of the United States on the laws of nature and the laws of God. He also tells how the Native American knew, understood and lived the Natural Law. In the essay Native American Influence he informs readers about why the Founding Fathers used the concepts of the Iroquois nation to form the federal government and how it was structured as we know it today. Find out how the Indian Nation was considered by the Founders to be the 14th colony and why it didn’t happen. The book is divided into four parts: Native American Influence, theNatural Law, features about the Alaska Native Brotherhood, and reclaiming our power as true blooded Americans. In his capacity as a tribal president for twelve years, Kadashan actively participated in self-governance meetings and conferences throughout the United State, including Washington D.C., and was able to rub elbows with prominent tribal leaders, and people in the governmental agencies. Kadashan used his experience and knowledge as a tribal leader to pen his thoughts about tribal governments and their relationship with the federal
government. He writes about how the Native American leader’s progressed through promoting their own initiatives to advance more self-governance for themselves.Kadashan has strong opinions about the political arena in America, and many of his essays talk about why America is
struggling politically, economically and socially, and what he thinks needs to be done to get back on track. He proves in his work, such as his essay called Where Does Goodness Come From, that our country’s dilemmas are spiritual and morale ones. In his essays, Socialism and The Effects of Socialism in America, his purpose in these narratives is to bring to our remembrance why our
country is being lead down the road to socialism.
