Author Bio:
Born in Hungary, Clara learned to read on her own when she was three and half. When she was 13, her family emigrated to Israel. She attended philosophy in Tel Aviv University, Israel, and Aarhus University, Denmark. After ten years in Denmark, she returned to Israel. Between 1995 – 2005, Clara had developed a new logic and philosophy – captured in her non-fiction, Holophany, the Loop of Creation – a unique structure that goes beyond Gödel’s incompleteness theorem, able to relate in rational terms to consciousness and those aspects of existence that cannot be defined.

Besides philosophy, Clara was educated in the arts (music – violin and piano, painting and acting), and science. The impact of different cultures/languages (fluent in 4, can get along or read 8 more), together with her unique talent of conceptual synesthesia may well have been the basis of her literary creativity. She started writing with the intention to be published after George Cockroft (alias Luke Reinhart, author of The Dice Man) wrote to her, “No one can write like you, not even I at my best… write for me, yes, and the world. I do not guarantee you the entire world but I guarantee you that libraries and bookstores rather than drawers will be the depositories of your work.”

Throughout Clara’s work runs the common theme of seeking the limits of the human mind, rational thinking to the extreme of experience. Her use of symbolism is effortless, enhancing the reader’s experience without ever crossing into the world of the esoteric or obscure, giving her an enduring quality as a literary fiction author with many strings to her bow.

I’ve been reading Epic Fantasy and Science fiction nonstop since the age of eleven. Before long, I started writing my own stories and kept adding to them throughout the years. I was born in Lancaster, England. Growing up in a single parent household with five other siblings was hard and also character building.

As a young child I found a passion for drawing and continued this into adulthood. I graduating from the University of Central Lancashire, England with a BA(Hons) in fashion design.

At aged twenty seven, me and my husband packed up our belongings for a lifelong dream to move to California. Our America dream was complete with the birth of my daughter.

When my first novel was published in 1981, I had no idea where I was headed. Since then, I’ve published thirty-six novels, thirty-three of them with traditional publishers, but in 2008, I decided I wanted more freedom than the traditional publishers would allow and began a new phase in my life as an Independent Author.

I live and write in a small village about thirty miles upstate of NYC, and share my house with my wife, Bonnie and our dog Alfie, an apricot poodle. Our three children have ventured out into the world on their own (or so they think).

In 2008, I published Angels In Mourning, my ‘homage’ to the old time private detective books of the 50’s and the 60’s. I used to love to sneak them from my parents’ night-tables and read them as a young boy. Angels, is a modern day take on the old style hardboiled detective. My Medieval Fantasy, Queen Of Knights, reached #2 on the amazon.com bestseller lists for historical fantasy and medieval fantasy, and my sci-fi of parallel worlds, The Others, received wide acclaim.
