  2. Girl In The Glass by Zoe Brooks - 2012-05-22 01:28:43-04
Zoe Brooks is a British writer and poet. She spends half her life in a partly restored old farmhouse in the Czech Republic, where she writes all my novels and poetry. She was a successful published poet in my teens and twenties, (featuring in the Grandchildren of Albion anthology). Then her son arrived and she was juggling motherhood and career and somehow there wasn't time for the writing. So many women will know how that feels. She worked with disadvantaged people for about twenty years. It was emotionally hard work but very rewarding. Nevertheless it took its toll and a few years ago she realised that she couldn't continue. She needed to start writing again. She aims to write popular books, which have complex characters and themes that get under the reader's skin. She finds her experience of working with people on the edge of society an inspiration for my fiction. Her novel Girl in the Glass is available on Amazon and Smashwords. It is the first in a trilogy of books about a remarkable woman. The second, Love of Shadows, will be published in 2012, as will Fool's Paradise, a long poem for voices. Mother of Wolves – a story of one woman's quest for revenge – is now available on Amazon
  3. Beginnings to Endings by Randy C Finch - 2012-05-22 01:30:14-04
I grew up in Louisville, KY, and received a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1978. After graduation, I worked as an engineer for several years, but shifted to doing computer-related work when personal computers became popular in the early 1980’s. As part of my job, I authored or co-authored a number of internal company reports as well as many papers presented at conferences. Apart from my job, I wrote almost 40 articles for computer magazines and was a regular columnist for a computer journal for two years. Additionally, I wrote over a dozen philosophical articles, three of which were published in a philosophy journal. I authored a number of poems, some of which have been published, and wrote three fictional short stories. Finally, I have two published books. The first is a non-fiction humorous philosophy book entitled “Beginnings to Endings: Philosophical Ramblings for Avoiding Global Destruction.” It is available in print and Kindle formats. The second is “Passion is a Harsh Taskmaster.” It is my first fiction novel and is also available in print and Kindle formats.
