The Note Man by Andrew Pine

The Note Man by Andrew Pine

“Did you really think you’d get away with it?”

When Peter Jeffries slapped those words across the window of a luxurious Mercedes-Benz, he had no idea what the consequences would be.

Recently fired, the frustrated family man had written the note for the woman behind the wheel – the one who’d cut him off in traffic without using her turn signals.

Instead, it was her husband who received it – brutal Irish gangster Jackie ‘The Ox’ O’Neal.

The Ox isn’t the kind of man to take threats lightly – even if they weren’t actually intended for him.

Soon, Peter’s impulsive act of road-rage has resulted in mayhem, murder, and kidnapping – and now, Peter’s life is on the line.

Fast-paced, funny, and frightening, The Note Man is the debut novel of Andrew Pine – deftly exploring the chillingly-plausible consequences of a single act of anger.
Fans of John Marrs, Gillian Flynn, and twisted, speculative fiction like Black Mirror will be instantly hooked!

Born in 1975 in Porto, northern Portugal, he spent most of his professional life in Quality Management, until joining an interim management team. He still lives in Porto with his 4 cats, enjoying sports, movies, hanging out with friends (when and where any pandemic allows it) and enjoying life in general.

The Suitcase by Mike Dixon

About The Suitcase by Mike Dixon

David didn’t see himself as a toy boy and he didn’t see Sue Lynne as a cougar. That was his first mistake. His second came when he agreed to collect a suitcase from Hong Kong and take it to Australia. His third mistake was to open the case.
Sue Lynne said it contained family memorabilia: old photographs and that sort of thing. David thought they were too old to be threatening and he was hopelessly wrong. The case contained dark secrets. From the moment he lifted the lid there was no escape. The past rushed out like an evil genie from a bottle and David was propelled through the vastness of Australia fighting for his life.
”A multi-layered story, masterfully written with historical fact and imagination. A tale of political power, seduction, blackmail and family liaisons. Throw in secret service agents, hitmen and a treasure map and it takes wings. Mike Dixon has created a great novel.” (Wendy O’Hanlon, Acres Australia).
The Suitcase is Book 1 in the Hansen Files Series. Humphrey Hansen has lost his job as a university lecturer and is working as a junior officer in the Narcotics Bureau. David is a university dropout struggling to make a living in the diving industry. They are thrown together and become good friends.
The Hansen Mysteries Series: Governments and private organizations sometimes find it necessary to call on outsiders to perform tasks that might lead to embarrassment. Humphrey Hansen worked for one. His special talent was cyber warfare. Other members of the team were proficient at weapons handling, diving, foreign languages, forgery, banking and other skills that could earn them a healthy living. They called themselves free operators and liked to think they were free to come and go as they pleased … events sometimes proved them wrong.

Death in Eden by Paul J Heald

About Death in Eden by Paul J Heald

Sociologist Stanley Hopkins is interviewing porn stars for his new book. You can be sure his wife is coming to LA with him.

When America’s most famous adult actress is found battered beyond recognition, Stanley is dragged into the murder investigation by an old friend. Donald Johansson is supposedly the most ethical moviemaker in a sleazy business, but the accused studio mogul’s fingerprints are all over the murder weapon. And he’s broke.

With Stanley’s marriage on the line and his academic position in peril, the young professor must navigate a darkly humorous world of sexy starlets, drug-dealing talent agents, and dubious cops in a quixotic attempt to exonerate his friend.

Those who enjoy the mysteries of Elly Griffiths, Carl Hiassen, Peter Grainger, or Paul Levine, will appreciate the touch of humor that naturally tinges even the grimmest twists and turns in the story. Death in Eden and its sequels Cotton and Raggedyland establish the CLARKESTON CHRONICLES as a leading example of character-driven mysteries that still deliver an unorthodox punch in the gut.

Willow finds an ally in Nikola Tesla who works in secret in the NYU engineering lab to hide his latest invention from Edison’s corporate thieves. He is creating graphene, a super-conductive material that will make Edison’s lead-acid battery obsolete, and herald a technological revolution.

Murder, romance, and psychological suspense intertwine in this modern Gothic tale of a secret society at a prestigious university.

TRADITION IS A TRICKY THING TO KILL

Twice a year, Anathema emerges from the shadows to perform satirical Sermons—controversial events that lambast Radcliffe College and the behavior of its students. Membership in the organization is open knowledge, but its rituals are closely guarded by those involved.

When a dissenter to the group’s practices is found dead under mysterious circumstances, two of the secret society’s most dedicated members, Matt Richardson and Joan Keating, fear a killer is lurking within their ranks. But as romance blooms between them, the college begins to mistake their devotion to Anathema for dangerous fanaticism—and the pair soon find themselves under suspicion.

As they become tangled deeper in a nightmarish web of intrigue, deceit, and murder, Matt starts to fear what secrets Joan may hide. But the harder he falls for her, the less sure of her innocence he becomes…

Perfect for fans of The Secret History, mystery novels about secret societies, and works of dark academia.

Canon of Reason – Genesis

About Canon of Reason – Genesis

The Big Bang, Evolution, Talking Snakes, A Global Flood, Confusing The Tongues, Dinosaurs, And So Much More!

The book of Genesis is one the most widely disputed books of the Bible, and rightfully so. Secular science has proposed notions of creation and the origin of life that do not seem to fit at all within the biblical narrative.. At least not at first glance.

Canon of Reason – Genesis embarks on a journey through the key points of Genesis, illustrating how modern scientific theories regarding the origin of life, as well as the universe, actually align quite well with the biblical text. Many atheists think that the idea of a talking snake is ludicrous, as a result, it is examined at length in this book and the ancient Hebrew sheds quite a bit of light on the subject. Is it plausible that it was a regional flood that Noah encountered? If so, why did God have Noah endure the flood on the ark? How does Genesis account for Dinosaurs? Here is a hint, it alludes to their extinction! All of this, and much more, is explored in Canon of Reason- Genesis, which serves to provide a strong Christian apologetics platform, and give the Christian community the means to strongly defend their faith.
