Andrew Macmillan is the author of the Ethan Cole series, and lives and writes in the City of Edinburgh.

Andrew has had a litany of jobs which were one shade of bad, or another. Although he did spend a decade nursing, dining out on the idea of ‘doing good’ if not actually dining out on an NHS wage, and discovering that good was a lot more complex than his childhood fantasy heroes would suggest it is.

He has always been a keen gamer, enjoying a large range of things from board games, to RPGs complete with dice and character sheets, and has done so since he was about eleven. He intends to continue until his one hundred and elventeeth birthday. He also paints miniature figurines and indulges in the odd collectable card game, though this last part he may deny, if asked.
