Ah, the crisis of explaining Patrick Borosky’s story of his emergence into the world of writing. It is both challenging and enthralling in its nature, and one where an simple author bio can’t do it justice, but it will have to do for now.
In his earlier days, his mind lived amongst the clouds, always thinking of strange worlds and adventures he could never experience in real life.
But at first, writing did not call to him.
Instead, it was science!
His first career in the world involves working with the latest high tech equipment to ensure that the denizens of this world can sleep at night. Honestly, he loves his job, yet on one fateful project where he had nothing to do and boredom threatened to consume him, he thought to himself: “I guess I’ll try writing a book then.”

For inspiration, he simply tries to write about worlds that he’d love to visit, and since he can’t visit them himself, he decided to create them. He doesn’t see himself slowing down anytime soon and he has a notebook filled with ideas that he’s just dying to share with everyone.
Now for a shameless little plug for his existing work – because who doesn’t like that, right?
He recently self-published an ebook on Amazon titled “The World of Ato.” At the creation of this story, it currently has a 4.6 rating with 35 reviews. You can get it cheap (less than a dollar) as he’s currently more interested in people reading his work and building a fan base. He’s currently planning a sequel and has another original project that he is planning on publishing later this year titled “The Great Babe Bambino.” As for other short story publications, there is “Barely Human” published by The Flying Ketchup Press. He may even have a secret love story that he’s working on.

Author Bio:
Ken Urbansky:  After receiving the highest grade in his eighth-grade creative writing class, Ken set aside writing for nearly fifty years in pursuit of other interests. His saxophone and involvement in the high school marching band were traded in a few years later for an electric guitar and rock and roll. The guitar surrendered to an M-16 when he enlisted in the US Army in 1968 and the M-16 gave way to the Bible when he and his wife Randi committed themselves to Jesus Christ while Ken served as a Military Policeman in Berchtesgaden Germany. After they returned home in 1971 they found the traditional protestant churches unwelcoming to two converted hippies who believed “1st century Christianity could be restored in the present time.” Undeterred, they planted their first church in 1972 in Avon Lake Ohio and spent the next forty years in Christian ministry. Ken served as pastor and worship leader in the churches they planted as well as the Assemblies of God, Methodist, and several independent denominations.
One of the couples that was a part of that first church plant in Avon Lake was Bob and Ann Mertes. Bob and Ann’s spiritual journey soon separated them from Ken and Randi as they pursued God’s plan for their lives on the west coast and Florida. Thirty years later they were reunited and discovered that their love for one another remained as strong as ever. Visiting often with Bob and Ann at their home in North Carolina Ken and Bob frequently spoke of the radical journey that God had taken them on.
“There’s a book in there somewhere.” Ken said, one day after a particularly interesting conversation about the “whole creation waiting for the revealing of the sons of God.” (Rom 8: 18-24)
“Well, then let’s write it!” Bob said.
That was eight years ago and the beginning of EDEN QUEST. It is a story that has been churning for years in the hearts and minds of both authors and is now a reality.

Bob Mertes:       Baptized and confirmed Catholic in his youth Bob committed his life to Jesus in the early seventies during the Jesus Movement. Upon leaving the small Christian community where he lived in Avon Lake, Ohio. He graduated from a self-supporting Interdenominational ministry out of Kerman, California. Bob moved on to Seattle, Washington, to assist in the pioneering of a satellite church, which later became a Four Square International Church. After staying for a period, Bob and Ann, along with their firstborn Aimee, moved to Florida. There they spent the next nine years involved with different denominational churches. During this time, their oldest son Timothy arrived, followed by Elizabeth and David. Missing the changing of the seasons, the family loaded up the truck and moved north to Clemmons, North Carolina, where they have lived for the past 27 years.

Bob and Ann enjoy their four children and eight grandchildren. Bob has ministered as an associate pastor, teacher, youth pastor, and currently holds a part-time job while writing with an old friend.
