Author Bio:
Married to the same man for over 25 years, I am a mother to three children and two Miniature Wiener dogs After owning a business and experiencing considerable success, my husband and I got caught in the financial crisis and lost everything; our business, our home, even our car.
At this point, I put my B.A. in Poly Sci to use and took work as a waitress and bartender. Unwilling to give up on a professional life, I simultaneously went back to college and obtained a degree in Energy Management. And then the energy market dropped off. And then my dog died. I can only be grateful for this series of unfortunate events, for, with nothing to lose and completely demoralized, I sat down and began to write the romance novels which had until then, existed only my imagination. I am happy to have found my place in life.
Finally.

A Master Passion by Juliet Waldron

About A Master Passion by Juliet Waldron

Alexander Hamilton has been in my life since I was eleven, when I pulled a dusty 19th century novel out of the shelves of our local used book store and began to read it. I’ve done a great deal of research on him in the 50+ years since, reading my way through all 21 volumes of his correspondence and many other pieces of primary source. In the course of my fascination with him and his family, I learned that he was a prodigy, a boy who propelled himself from an orphaned, penniless merchant’s clerk who lived on a small West Indian island, to an aide de camp to General George Washington in a mere decade. His wife, too, lived an astonishing life, as a sort of American princess, so Alexander’s marriage, too, has a fairy-tale quality to it. The “American Dream” was born in his plans for the future of his adopted country and by his administrative genius. Scholars agree; we would not live as we do in the US today if Hamilton hadn’t existed. He was an imperfect human being, too, who made mistakes and made decisions which sent him to a dueling ground death. Long story short, I can’t imagine any better American subject for a novel. His whole life was an adventure.
As a result of so many years of fascination, I know Hamilton and his wife very well. Because it’s important to me, I’ve worked to make these characters true to the breathing people that once lived. Again, I lean on letters, diaries, etc. for my understanding of emotional states. His wife burned much of their personal correspondence, as did other 18th Century women whose husbands were “great men.” Sometimes, of course, events remain obscured–200+ years and the natural desire of the famous man’s family to keep some secrets.
Conflict is built into the marriage. It does not simply spring from Alexander’s childhood experience of bastardy, abuse, and abandonment. To quote Alexander Pope, Hamilton’s favorite poet:

And hence one Master Passion in the breast
Like Aaron’s serpent, swallows up all the rest…”

Betsy’s passion is Alexander. Alexander loves his wife, but, sometimes, he loves America more.

About Pickle Licker: A Quirky Christmas Novella by Allie Gail

He had it. I wanted it.
And that’s how it ended up in my mouth.
Oh, get your mind out of the gutter, will you? I’m not talking about THAT!
It all started with a fight over the last dill pickle. Crazy, right? Where it ends…well, that’s anyone’s guess.
But it just might be enough to land me on the naughty list.

Author Bio:
Born and raised in rural Alabama, Allie Gail currently resides in sunny Florida with her very own blue-eyed Prince Charming and a hyperactive hamster named Toot-Toot. Always an avid reader, she took to her keyboard on a whim in 2012 and that was the last anyone ever saw of her. (Just kidding – I did venture out of the house that one time, but only because I was tricked into it. Stupid hurricane.)

Her genre of choice is romance, featuring goofy but headstrong heroines and the sexy, snarky men who love them. When she isn’t obsessively typing, deleting, and re-typing the same sentence over and over, Allie can usually be found snuggled up to her hubby watching B-movie horror, helping out with the family business or playing online RPG games while indulging her hopeless sugar addiction.

Fun facts – she loves darkwave music, can’t stand coffee, is known to frequently giggle in her sleep, and is irrationally creeped out by octopuses. (Seriously, they’re like sea spiders with big mushy heads. No. Just no.)

You can also find her on Facebook, so stop by and say hello. She would love to hear from you!

When I took a job as bouncer at a biker club, I was just an ex-cop looking for a paycheck and a chance to beat up the drunks who start bar fights.
I never thought I’d be caught in a gang war.
Or that my boss’s little sister Connie would be so delicious, so hard to resist.
She’s a tough single mom, a feisty little thing who can take care of herself.
A rival gang makes a threat, and we all go on lock-down in the Twisted Souls compound while a gang war rages.
It’s my job to keep her safe.
Taking a bullet for her would be the easy part.
Letting her anywhere near my broken heart is way more dangerous.
From the first moment I tasted her lips, to our secret trysts inside the compound, where we could be caught at any second, I knew this wildcat of a woman had gotten to me.
Our blazing hot affair grinds to a halt when the enemy kidnaps Connie’s little girl.
I’ll do anything to save her, to bring her back home.
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for Connie.
