Anna Marie Jehorek, a Crofton, Maryland native, graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park with a BA degree in radio, television, and film/communications. After college, she worked in public relations and business and industry relations for a Washington, D.C. trade association. While working in D.C. she began writing for various industry journals. Although she went on to a variety of jobs in the ensuing years, Jehorek continued writing as a contributor and freelancer for multiple publications.
