CHRISTOPHER E. PELLOSKI earned his medical degree from the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in 2001. He was accepted into the Radiation Oncology Residency Training Program and eventually joined the faculty at the University of Texas – MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, one of the top cancer centers in the world. He was later recruited to the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. In 2014, however, he became Inmate#: 71491-061 at the Federal Correctional Institution, Elkton.

Dr. Pelloski won several awards with his first book, “Trauma, Shame and the Power of Love,” including a Silver Medal from the 2016 Living Now Book Awards and a Bronze Medal from the 2016 Global E-book Awards.

D G Lamb is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist. His day job involves helping people to become more independent after some type of neurological injury. In addition to a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, he has a Master's in Art Therapy. He has also worked with law enforcement officers to deal with PTSD after critical incidents. While recovering from prostate cancer surgery, his son suggested he try his hand at creative writing. Although his professional experiences certainly informed aspects of this story, he also drew upon his love of cooking and backpacking the mountain trails of Arizona (where unlike Cypress Grove, it rarely rains). This multi award winner is his debut novel.
