A Fate Unwound Too Soon: Glimpses of the Divine

About A Fate Unwound Too Soon: Glimpses of the Divine

This is a book of photography and poems, of images that convey to the readers the experience of being the too early born and of being the loved one or caretaker of the micro preemie. I wrote the poems included in order to share what I felt and learned as a caretaker of the tiniest of premature babies. One thread has run through the whole of my experience in the NICU: the rise of the unheralded sympathy that is native to all things. What I expect to see in the intensive care setting is the most noble form of compassion, the love of parent for child, but what I witness is much more: the acts of kindness between strangers. At the center of this giving, I always find the too early born babe, the angel who brings with it the knowledge and revelation that initiates the rise of sympathy that is expressed as compassion.

Author Bio:
Eleri Grace writes historical romance novels featuring trailblazing Red Cross Girl heroines and flyboy heroes.

Before penning her first romance novel, Eleri honed her writing skills as a corporate lawyer, a historical researcher, and an avid writer and reader of fan fiction.

Like many authors, Eleri is a voracious bookworm, happiest in bookstores and libraries. The TV mini-series “Roots” kindled a life-long enthusiasm for genealogy. Eleri is a scrapbooker (some might say she is a paper addict). She enjoys pilates and other cardio-based group exercise classes. A long walk at sunrise is the perfect start to Eleri’s day. She loves to travel and has been fortunate to experience time in many wonderful locations in the US and abroad.

Eleri majored in history at Texas Tech University. She regrets that she ignored the advice of her history professors, who urged her to pursue a graduate degree in history with a concentration in World War II, and instead joined the legions of other liberal arts majors in law school. She is thrilled to have found another career path that allows her to immerse herself in World War II studies. Eleri hopes her novels will reflect her passion for the 1940s era and that her readers will come away with an appreciation for the many couples who were swept up in war-time courtships forged in a time of larger-than-life uncertainties.

Eleri lives in Houston, Texas with her two active (read: overcommitted) teenage children and two feuding cats.

About Selkie’s Freedom by Cailee Francis

Nerisa is a selkie who had long dreamed of exploring the world beyond her people’s territory and finding her other half, should she exist.

With a leap of faith fueled by wanderlust, she was ready to embrace what the town of Arkan Hallow had to offer. She found an uninhabited shack by the sea, a job as a carer and the beginnings of a new life… and she was enjoying it.

The thief struck when she was at work and stole her pelt. It was more than a piece of clothing or her means to shapeshift; it was a part of her soul and her only way of returning to live among her kind. Without it she couldn’t become a seal again. She couldn’t return to live in her family’s waters and continue the life she’d had before. Without it she felt very much alone.

Desperate, Nerisa searches for help and finds it with Nina, the daughter of a witch and fortune teller. Nina is still recovering from a break-up, and she becomes captivated by the beautiful woman from the sea. She decides she has to help her at any cost.

Together they search for Nerisa’s pelt and try to get it back; not an easy task when they’re not sure where to begin. The journey allows them to discover something just as valuable along the way: each other.

The closer they get to answers, the more dangerous their quest becomes, and the stakes should they fail. Only by discovering who is behind it all can they get Nerisa’s pelt back and find a happy future together.

Reader Note: Selkie’s Freedom is a F/F paranormal romance novel of just over 50,000 words that features sapphic love (the steamy and sweet kind), adult language and some violence. Two women willing to face danger together in the name of love await you!

Five Ways the Church Must Change What It Teaches

About Five Ways the Church Must Change What It Teaches

There are five subjects that are foundational to the Christian walk. They make up the bulk of sermons delivered within the walls of the Church and religious discussions held in the world outside the Church— they are the very substance of the path that defines the Christian walk.
Over the years, this path has been overtaken by weedy overgrowth that amounts to a deeply compromised message.
Five Ways the Church Must Change What It Teaches takes on the job of weeding out all that overgrowth to reveal a clear path for all who seek it.
Chapters include unique insights into the infallibility of the Word of God, the divine meaning of marriage, the true nature of salvation and our place in the universe.
