The book starts by providing a glimpse of our long journey from a Neolithic time, through Agrarian, Medieval and Industrial Ages to reach the threshold of World 5.0, where we find ourselves today. After detailing some of our most pressing issues, the book describes how we can leave the old system behind, at least in our hearts and minds. We learn personal happiness.

Once we’ve found our true selves, we engage. Through activism, community efforts, art – whatever suits us – we emerge to help create this new o/s based on Peace, Love, Integrity, Justice and Balance.

Finally we discuss how to transform our Earth to a place of health, healing and happiness. Here’s a hint – we get rid of our corporate overlords. We take on climate and ecological and human health challenges. We resist war and encourage peace at every turn. We recognize that good governance, localism and healthy food are required to transform our planet.

I am truly a child of the 1960s, with my ‘wiring’ and ideas very much an outgrowth of those times. Growing up within a large, loving family, I was always a curious sort. Growing up Catholic – questions about the nature of God, and where we are and where we come from were an itch from as long as I can remember.

A lifelong citizen of the Cincinnati, Ohio area, I’ve been an entrepreneur and the owner of video production company, Panoptic Media for 25 years. Always curious about why things are as they are, I’ve focused on Eastern and Western spiritualism, A Course in Miracles, chakras and well, most anything Life, Earth and Sun have to offer. Along with authoring ‘World 5.0 – Healing Ourselves, Our Earth and Our Life Together’, I’ve been a writer, musician, activist, Occupier and candidate for the United States Congress.

When I was struck with this notion of world5 while walking my wolf dog in 2004, this notion and its power became my life’s work. Since then, several iterations of this website, a declaration, a book about healing ourselves, our earth and our life together, and numerous other content, I again find myself Here, with all of you. but Now we’re on the threshold of a New Age.

While Free Love and Peace were ideas too far ahead of their time in the 60s, I’m convinced that such is not true today. Indeed, World 5.0 and our New Age was birthed on 12/21/12.

Along with an innate pride for Texas, I was born with a love for animals. When I was five, my first pet was a grasshopper that I carried around on a silver spoon. Not realizing that Eb had transformed from pet to lion, I walked up to him. Eb grabbed me by the stomach, threw me to the ground, and mauled me. My terrified college friend jerked me out of the cage – which made Eb bite even harder. “I hope I did that right,” he panted. “I’ve never had to rescue anyone from a lion before!” I never saw Ed again.

Hi, I am Steffen Hou and since you are kind enough to visit my profile I’d like to share a bit of my story with you.

I have always loved telling stories. As a kid I wrote my family and friends numerous letters just for the fun of it and later I decided that storytelling should also be my career. Though my desire to become a journalist was due to a sad background.

Morning Papers

Ten-years-old I was watching the soccer match between Liverpool and Juventus at Heysel Stadium in Brussels, Belgium. Unfortunately, the 1985 European Cup Final turned into a disaster when a fight broke out among the English and Italian fans. As supporters tried to escape from the violence, a wall collapsed and 39 people died.

I watched the events in disbelief with my father. I could hardly believe what I had just witnessed and as we turned off the television. But I also remember that I could hardly wait for the morning to come. I could not wait for the morning papers to arrive with the latest news about the tragedy. Yes, in 1985 newspapers were the way to keep informed …

The American Dream

On that tragic night in Brussels, my dream of becoming a journalist was sparked despite the horrible background. I knew I wanted to report the events taking place. Fortunately, I have never as a journalist reported from similar sad events.

Instead, I have always had an interest in describing extremes, whether it be people or phenomenon. Among other topics I have written about human trafficking, people on death row and Americans joining hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan. I have told stories from different countries such as Japan, Kenya, Venezuela, China and Korea. My main focus has always been America. Therefore, my first book was about ‘The American Dream’.

I went to America on my own at just seventeen-years-old. Since then I have travelled extensively in the US since and all trips combined I have spent several years in America. I have always been curious about whether the dream exists or if it has become a nightmare to many. My book ‘A Dream Derailed’ from 2015 looks into this phenomenon.

Business owner

Today I tell my stories through books and am currently producing my first documentary. For years I have been following a grand dragon of the Ku Klux Klan and his struggles to get out of the hatred. And my next book is also underway describing the terrible stories of ‘child abductions’.

Besides telling stories I also run a media company that produces corporate movies. Well, everyone has a story that deserves to be told (in most cases) …

I feel privileged to be an entrepreneur. I opened my first company at just 25-years-old and since then I have been lucky enough to be able to provide work for hundreds of journalists, photographers, designers and editors.

Author Bio:
Born in Cuba and raised in Central America, R.J. Pineiro spent his early years in the midst of civil wars before he migrated to the United States in the late 1970s, first to Florida, where he attended Florida Air Academy in Melbourne. There, RJ earned his pilot’s license and high school diploma in 1979, before heading to Louisiana for college.

R.J. earned a degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University in 1983 and joined the high-tech industry in Austin Texas, where he worked in computer chip design, test, and manufacturing, before retiring in 2012 to focus full time on his books.

In addition to his high-tech work, R.J. added an instrument rating to his private pilot privileges. He also holds a black belt in martial arts, is a firearms enthusiast, and enjoys the privileges of his Open Water SCUBA certification.

In the late 1980s R.J. began studying to become a novelist. As he read every chance he had, from classical literature to contemporary novels, R.J.’s love of storytelling became uncontrollable. Using an aging personal computer, he decided to start his writing career. Once he began, he never stopped.

His first published work, SIEGE OF LIGHTNING, a novel about a sabotaged space shuttle, was released by Berkley/Putnam in May of 1993. His second novel, ULTIMATUM, about a second Gulf War scenario, was released the following year, 1994, by Forge Books, which went on to publish R.J.’s next 12 novels over the following 13 years.

In 2015, R.J. teamed up with TV News military analyst Colonel David Hunt to kick off the “Hunter Stark Book Series.” The first book in the series, WITHOUT MERCY, about ISIS gaining acquiring nuclear weapons, was released on 3.7.17. The second book, WITHOUT FEAR, about the war in Afghanistan, was released on 8.7.18

​In 2017, R.J. also teamed up with New York Times bestselling author Joe Weber. The result is ASHES OF VICTORY, a novel of global terrorism and international conflict released by Ignition Books on 9.3.18

In 2018, R.J. penned his nineteenth novel, AVENUE OF REGRETS, a mystery revolving around sex trafficking and domestic abuse. Check it out on 11.16.18 from Auspicious Apparatus Press.

R.J. married his college sweetheart 35 years ago, Lory Pineiro, an artist and jewelry designer. They have one son, Cameron & Daughter-in-Law Sarah, and two crazy dogs, Coco and Zea.
