I was born in a council flat in Bristol, in 1960, and brought up in a lower to middle class family, who’s favourite saying was.
“Go to work young man” the family had a very strong work ethic, and it has stayed with me ever since.
At the age of sixteen I did go to work, and by the time I was twenty two I was a self-employed electrician employing some eleven-other skilled and very lively electricians and apprentices.
Business then took me by the hand, and after a period of about thirty years. I announced my retirement at the young age of 57…
I have enjoyed every minute of it.
