Author Bio:
Bestselling author P.C. Zick describes herself as a storyteller no matter what she writes. And she writes in a variety of genres, including romance, contemporary fiction, and creative nonfiction. She’s won various awards for her essays, columns, editorials, articles, and fiction.
The three novels in her Florida Fiction Series contain stories of Florida and its people and environment, which she credits as giving her a rich base for her storytelling. She says her, “Florida’s quirky and abundant wildlife–both human and animal–supply my fiction with tales almost too weird to be believable.”
P.C. writes both sweet and steamy romances. The sweet contemporary romances in her Smoky Mountain Romances, are set in southwest North Carolina. Another sweet romance series, Rivals in Love, contains two books with four more in the works. All six follow the Crandall family of Chicago as the siblings find love despite their focus on successful careers.
Her steamy romances go from Florida to Long Island. The Behind the Love series, set in a small fictional town in Florida, feature a community of people who form bonds as they learn to overcome the challenges of their youth. Her Montauk Romances are set in and around Long Island and feature simple, yet sophisticated beach houses designed with romance in mind. The two books in this set are filled with steamy scenes as love grows and thrives.
No matter the genre of novel, they all contain elements of romance with strong female characters, handsome heroes, and descriptive settings. She believes in living lightly upon this earth with love, laughter, and passion, and through her fiction, she imparts this philosophy in an entertaining manner with an obvious love for her characters, plot, and themes.
The Last Sin

As Cancini investigates, he uncovers long-buried secrets from the man’s past, and it becomes clear that the church was not as holy as it seemed.
When another priest is attacked, Cancini refuses to believe it’s a coincidence, and his frustration grows as his search is blocked at every turn by inflexible priests and cagey church employees. The resolute detective must unravel the web of lies before more people are hurt, but how can he find a murderer when no one is innocent, and everyone is a sinner?

Settling the Wind
The harsh and rugged Colorado frontier of 1875 is not the type of place most would consider suitable for a recent widow to establish a home of her own. Yet that is exactly what Henrietta Schodde determines she will do as she impetuously buys a cabin in the newly forming settlement of Estes Park. Despite assurances from Henrietta that the locals appear amiable, her relatives are concerned and recruit the assistance of long-time family friend Collan Wallace, who unbeknownst to Henrietta, has also just begun homesteading in the area.
The last thing Collan desires is to watch over the woman who has been his nemesis since childhood. But the pair quickly realize that there is more than each other to fight about when they discover an unscrupulous Englishman, Lord Dunraven, is hungry for their land.
Endearing and engaging, Settling the Wind, is historical fiction based on actual events that reveals the courage of Colorado’s pioneers in the face of more struggles than they could have imagined.

Being an author is a career change for me. I once was an expert . . . uh, let us just say in a graduate scientific field . . . that no longer interests me to write about. I found, much to my personal amazement, that I preferred scribbling historical fiction novels. Especially if they made me laugh while I was either researching or writing them.
My family lives in a DC suburb, but I enjoy travelling and visiting, in particular, our Estes Park, Colorado, cabin adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park. The dogs usually come with me for the thirty-hour drive because I despise flying and motorcar everywhere I can. So why not give the pooches a vacation as well?
My family thinks I am a bit nuts in this regard and they fly everywhere they can. So I am the doggy transporter while they meet me at the chosen destination. Of course, this does not always work out, depending on where that vacation site actually is, and I have been known to fly, but I am not especially fond of the looks I get from surrounding passengers as I grip my seat.

Christianity: A Successful Failure, Finding Faith in an Age of Fear and Faslehood
About Christianity: A Successful Failure, Finding Faith in an Age of Fear and Faslehood
A fantastic book that is perhaps the best exposé ever written on the world’s largest and most popular religion (approximately 2.5 billion adherents) from an ‘insider’ who participated in Christianity for many years. You can search far and wide and you will not find a better book on what Christianity is, why it is a successful failure, and why it’s being a successful failure should be of urgent interest to you and those you care about.
In Christianity: A Successful Failure, author Tim Spiess holistically yet simply, using non-complex language, puts forth the best worldview possible for humanity. He starts with common existential issues that we all face and provides insightful and satisfying answers to life’s most important questions.
Spiess avoids petty doctrinal discussions and uses many creative and insightful analogies and metaphors to reveal why Christianity is a successful failure. Reason, logic, and observation are used well to demonstrate that many of the foundational beliefs and practices of Christianity, not only have nothing to do with the real, historical Jesus of Nazareth but actually nullify and cancel out his most important teachings.
This book rises above religious concepts and movements like the Reformation and seeks to bring a paradigm change in people’s view of God and this life we are given. In the last section entitled, “The Solution”, what we all desperately need to solve conflict, loneliness, and emptiness in our lives is revealed. This book will change your life IF you are truly open minded!

Author Bio:
After being raised by a physician and his wife in the U.S.A in New York and marrying into a wealthier millionaire family; after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in essentially Environmental Science at the University of Vermont, as well as a Master’s of Business degree from Pace University; and after having successful career jobs at private companies like IBM, Ryder Transportation Services and McKesson; something happened to Mr. Spiess that radically changed his life…something that totally changed his perspective and the ‘trajectory’ of his life.
Mr. Spiess is a unique person in that in the U.S.A, he has experienced persecution for his faith. He has had beloved children wrongly taken away from him and ordered by the government not to communicate with those children; has been wrongly fired from jobs; has had rocks thrown at him; has been slandered; has been asked by religious leaders not to come back to their churches; all for doing his best to speak what he believes is true. He has not experienced persecution due to saying obnoxious or rude or crude things or aggressively pushing ‘his faith’, but rather for just proclaiming truths about what people should value in life.
Mr. Spiess has walked away from ‘careers’; has sold houses due to faith and lived with his family in an RV. People who don’t understand Mr. Spiess would say he has given up much or he has thrown away or wasted much. Mr. Spiess would say he has gained much.
This author has somehow escaped most of the boxes that people live in and view life through, has risen above those perception constraints, and has produced a truly unique and insightful work that has the potential to bring desperately needed positive change to many, many people.

Emma and the Banderwigh by Matthew S. Cox
About Emma and the Banderwigh by Matthew S. Cox
Ten-year-old Emma doesn’t believe in faerie tales or monsters that secret children away in the night—until she meets one.
She lives in a quiet village at the edge of Widowswood with her parents, her Nan, and her little brother, Tam. Ready to abandon the whimsy of childhood, she finds the boredom of chores comforting and Nan’s fanciful bedtime stories silly.
One morning, a wan and weary older girl staggers out of the woods and sets the entire town aflutter with whispers of a child-stealing monster lurking in the forest. Nan tells her of the Banderwigh: a dark soul who feeds on sorrow and drains the life from children’s tears.
Darkness comes calling on Emma’s happy home, threatening the reality to which she desperately clings. The impossible becomes more and more real, forcing Emma to reach inside herself for the ability to believe. Her family depends on it.
