Walter Marks’ most recent theatre project, “Langston in Harlem” had a sold out, critically acclaimed run off-Broadway at Urban Stages Theater, and won four 2010 Audelco Awards for Excellence in Black Theater including Best Musical. The show is a musical theater piece based on the life and poetry of Langston Hughes, in which Mr. Marks set the Hughes poems to music, and co-wrote the libretto.

His best known his song “I’ve Gotta be Me”, recorded by Sammy Davis, Michael Jackson, Tony Bennett, and many others. He has also written songs recorded by Barbra Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, The Temptations, Della Reese, Liza Minelli, Little Anthony and the Imperials, and other artists.

Christopher Patterson lives in Tucson, Arizona with his wife and three children. Christopher has a Masters in Education and is a teacher of many subjects, including English, History, Government, Economics, and Health. He is also a football and wrestling coach. Hey, team! I’m Kyle Mata. I’m a US Air Force officer who’s a big-time Sci Fi FANATIC. I started writing science fiction because that’s the genre I geek out to the most. I read it, play it, watch it, and now write it.

I started writing back in college. At a military school, if you look busy, there’s a greater chance you’ll get left alone. A couple of my buddies liked what I wrote and the rest is history. If you’ve been around the sci fi genre long enough, you’ll definitely notice some hat-tips and head nods toward other stories, which I hope you enjoy.

I was largely inspired by the Star Wars, Halo, and Dune universes, among others.

I LOVED building the Scorpion Universe and I plan on constantly expanding it. Each of my books will take place in the same universe, but in different times and places. If you like getting immersed in a literary world as much as I do, then I write for you. I write books I would want to read. I’m a stickler for attention to detail. I think character development is hugely important. In my opinion, a great story with lame characters, is not a great story. I love a good plot twist, and I want a satisfying ending.
