Opposing Briefs by Ian Finn

About Opposing Briefs by Ian Finn

Logan

Am I falling for my enemy… a straight man?

He’s my opponent in the courtroom.
He defends the same scumbag criminals I’m trying to put away.
Plus he’s my rival in the New York City Marathon.
We’re training for a competition between our firms.
And, unlike me, he’s not even gay.
So, why do I find myself so damn attracted to him?
His cocky swagger and alpha attitude drive me crazy.
But I’m starting to have as much fun running with him as arguing against him.
I want to show him what other oral skills I possess.

Could there be room in our completely opposite worlds… for each other?

Andrew

Am I falling for my enemy… a gay man?

My whole life, I’ve done everything right.
Now I’m a big time criminal defense attorney.
But sometimes everything I’m living seems like a lie.
I can’t figure out why I’m so attracted to my opposing counsel, Logan.
I’ve never felt such feelings for another man before.
He’s handsome, athletic and intelligent.
I try to tell myself I just want to beat him in court and on the race path.
But deep down I know I want him to take me to the bedroom.
That would ruin my career, and life as I know it.

If I let the real me come out for him, will love destroy us or strengthen us?

The World According To Good Gods

About The World According To Good Gods

What our modern world needs most are deeply motivated people who are sophisticated, open-minded global thinkers overflowing with new ideas. Reading this book will surely help you to become one of them, especially when you do so in an unbiased fashion, with willingness to accept new ideas and novel thoughts on many different subjects and topics.

This is a book for truth seekers. And it is – for the most part – aimed at people who possess a broad-spectrum academic knowledge. In essence, it is an intellectually engaging textbook, which offers a novel approach to Scientific Naturalism. And so, it is not intended for people with limiting religious views or for those who are harbouring various modern-day dogmatic beliefs.

It is a comprehensive and well-researched book, which contains many new theses. That’s why you do not need to just read this book. You need to put the book down for a time and then come back to it again, instead of reading it at once from the beginning to the end. In other words, you need to take your time and digest it slowly…

There are many profound insights covered in its chapters that will make you think. It explores in depth the nature of our existence and investigates the scientific basis of happiness. “The World According To Good Gods” contains many self-explanatory truths, which on the whole supplement the general framework of the new-fangled worldview presented on its pages. Therefore, many references, which support the observations presented in this book, are deliberately omitted – as they are clearly not needed for people with adequate general knowledge.

Reading this book will help you take a step back and look at the big picture. Your life picture.

Are you truly happy?
Is there something important missing in your life?
Do you often ponder what the meaning of your life actually is?
Do you often query whether there is a God?
Do you sincerely think that you have a really good education? In any case, do you know beyond any doubt what a truly good education is?

Do you relate to any of these questions? If yes, then you must read this book.

“The World According To Good Gods” consists of six separate parts which deal with the complexity of these intertwined issues.

Part one is titled: “Myths, happiness and the sense of life”. It deals with the general theory of happiness. It makes blatantly obvious that being happy is the combined summation of all reasons why we exist.
Part two deals with various subjects like: genesis of all existence, chaos, good and evil, natural ethical principles, science and laws of nature.
Part three is about important characteristics of natural and man-made laws and cognitive optimism.
Part four talks about natural personal identity, various social aspects of our happiness, gender balance, metaphysics of culture and disintegration of the spirit.
Part five is dedicated to such topics as the concept of ‘satan’, dogmatic systems and the spiritual evolution of the human race.
Part six explains what the top quality, free and universal system of education and upbringing actually is.

Trying to cut across the forest and connect to the right trail, Holly became lost, and as the sun began to set, a snowstorm started. As the storm raged on, Holly and Pete, marooned together in Pete’s tent, get to know each other, and Holly is forced to look at her life. When the storm ends, Holly returns to civilization, but she is haunted by the things she learned about herself while stuck in the storm. Doc Roberts: Space Pirate

About Doc Roberts: Space Pirate

New Release Special, only 99 cents.

Plundering innocent worlds; that is Doc Roberts job, and he is good at it. He was awarded a letter of Marque and a territory to hunt in exchange for his service to the Alliance and of course, a cut of his take.
The Alliance government can’t openly operate in Commonwealth territory without starting another war, so they use privateers like Captain Roberts to destabilize governments and cause unease among the people in hopes that they will ask for Alliance protection.
Cheating and treachery cause Captain Roberts to reevaluate his loyalty. He can live with a little pilfering, but not outright stealing from him by trespassing on his planet. There is only one thing he can do. Teach the Alliance government that there is a price to pay for taking what is not theirs.
The Alliance goes too far when they send an assassin to kill Doc’s wife. Now it is outright war, for Captain Roberts anyway. Now he is both a pirate and a rebel with people on both sides of the border whom either loves him or hates him.
After fighting a duel with one of the Alliance’s promising new captains, torturing him, and leaving him for dead; he has made powerful enemies in the Alliance hegemony. The Alliance military leaders want to make Captain Roberts suffer like he made their captain suffer.
One man can only do so much, and Doc is getting tired. It is time to pass the reins of command to his son. But first, he must crush his son’s dreams and teach him what it means to be an Alliance citizen.
WARNING! This is a stand-alone novel that contains grievous violence some of it extreme and graphically written, nudity, and mild cursing. After all, it is about a pirates life, and that is how they live. There are adult situations, but nothing graphic and no erotica. If any of this offends you, do not buy this book. But if you choose to open its cover and peer inside, I’m sure that you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it,

Missing in Mystic Grove by S.F. Bose

About Missing in Mystic Grove by S.F. Bose

It’s Thanksgiving Week at the Bean Family Bed and Breakfast in Mystic Grove. Liz Bean is looking forward to helping her family prepare a Thanksgiving dinner and celebration for their B&B guests.

Two months earlier, a traumatic event had prompted Liz to leave her job in the Covert Services Group at Worldhead Global Security out east. After working for four years as a translator on secret government-sponsored missions in the Middle East and Europe, Liz is relieved to be home. She looks forward to a peaceful and enjoyable holiday.

Then everything falls apart. A B&B guest reports that a special ring has gone missing. Then she suggests that another guest might have actually stolen herring. The guest gives them four days to find her jewelry or she’ll call the police. Grandma Addie Bean shivers at the thought of the negative online reviews the guest might leave if they don’t find her ring.

Grandma Addie pairs Liz with Sam Nolan, a quirky private investigator who’s a frequent diner at the B&B. They mesh like oil and water, but Liz knows they have to team up to help the B&B. When their prime suspect disappears, the situation goes from bad to worse.

As they investigate each lead, Liz realizes that she’s not the only one in Mystic Grove who’s keeping secrets. When the truth is revealed, it takes everyone by surprise.

While growing up on the South Side of Chicago, S.F. Bose read all of the Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew mystery books. Inspired by those books, she and her childhood friends scoured their neighborhood looking for missing persons, blackmailers, and murderers. Unfortunately, it was a peaceful part of the city and the budding private investigators couldn’t find a single criminal.

As an adult, S.F. Bose worked as a technology manager for many years, but her true love remained reading mystery books and writing stories. After leaving corporate life behind, she decided to take the leap and started writing and publishing mysteries. When not writing, she enjoys puzzles, cooking, gardening, and thinking up creative ways to murder people.
