Marc Rainer is the pen name for Charles (“Chuck”) Ambrose, Jr. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, and is a former Air Force JAG Circuit Prosecutor and former federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C., and in Kansas City, MO. In his more than thirty years of experience, he has tried hundreds of both military and federal (civilian) major cases, including prosecutions of homicide cases, federal conspiracy trials, and mafia and other organized crime prosecutions.

Matthew Speak grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa, within sight of the Mississippi River. He moved to Chicago after college, performing in and directing several plays around the Midwest. Eventually, he moved to California where he appeared on stage and in a few short films before seeking his teaching credential. When he isn’t writing novels, Matthew is a special education teacher at Northpoint School in Northridge, CA. He lives in Burbank, CA, with his family.
