Chandra Shekhar came to the US from India to study Artificial Intelligence. After spending 15 years developing technology for self-driving vehicles, facial recognition, and video surveillance, he switched to the less lucrative but more benign career of science journalism, and then to fiction writing. My journey to becoming a writer began in 8th grade when I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and pulled from school to recover.
