Nicky Corcoran, Born in 1961, raised a catholic, the eldest daughter of six siblings to a self-employed builder and a community care-giver wife from a small village on the Wirral Peninsula, Cheshire.

I developed an interest in writing non-fiction poetry as a hobby after being given a project at school about countries of which my grandfather, who had been all around the world in the British navy helped me to write; he was amazing!

After various jobs, I qualified as an NNEB in my early twenties and worked as a nursery nurse mainly in children’s day nurseries.
