Bird of Paradise
About Bird of Paradise
London, Paris, Hong Kong, San Francisco. Although she’s lived all over the world, it is the Island that always calls her home. But as Ari stands oat the threshold of her future, only she can decide where her life will take her next.
Written by a mother/daughter duo, Bird of Paradise follows Arianna Heywood as she embarks on a decade long journey of self-discovery, along which she learns that even in the face of immeasurable pain beauty can be born. Guided by the wisdom of those who came before her, Ari must work to find her place in the world, torn between the pull of her island and the possibility of what lies beyond. But an unexpected encounter may change it all. They say some love stories are meant to last forever. Will this be one of them? Although Bird of paradise is about the love of family, it is ultimate a story of romance, loss, and finding.
Co-Author Marilyn Anne Hughes began Bird of Paradise after being diagnosed with advanced stage cancer. She passed away in 2012, leaving the novel unfinished. In a letter she’d left for her daughter, co-author Emily, she had one request – that Emily finish the story for her.
Bird of Paradise will be free for a limited time on Amazon January 25th – 27th 2022!

Soul of the Prophet: The Elder of Edon Book I by David Angelo
When Blizzard created Edon, she envisioned a paradise.
But it would become hell for the Faranchies, forced to live under the oppressive hand of their rivals, the Cullidons. For hundreds of years, the Faranchies lived in misery and turmoil, where hope grew dim and death was their only escape.
Fin, a Faranchie boy living in a decrepit ghetto, just wants to settle down with his love, Scarlet. But in the course of a single night, he inadvertently kicks off a chain of events that places him at the center of a century’s long conspiracy, and in the crosshairs of the most powerful Cullidon in the land.
Facing certain death, Fin is rescued by a ragtag resistance group who reveals to him the shocking truth: that he is an anointed prophet, chosen by the divine to liberate the Faranchies and unite the dragons of Edon. But the road to freedom is paved with tribulations, and Fin will need every ounce of strength needed for what lays ahead.
Can Fin save his people, or is Edon a lost cause?

Colonial America: A Captivating Guide to the Colonial History of the United States and How Immigrants of Countries Such as England, Spain, France, and the Netherlands Established Colonies by Captivating History
About Colonial America: A Captivating Guide to the Colonial History of the United States and How Immigrants of Countries Such as England, Spain, France, and the Netherlands Established Colonies by Captivating History
Did you know that the first English settlement in the New World was a disaster?
Perhaps you have heard the story of Roanoke before. Or maybe even the creation of Jamestown. But have you heard about the Spanish colonies in North America? Or the French and Dutch settlements?
Colonial America was diverse, with European settlers from various nations coming to the New World and meeting the Native Americans who already inhabited the land. What were their interactions like? Was there any semblance of peace between all of the groups who called this land their home?
This book will examine that in more detail, as well as a closer look at how some of the major British colonies were formed. The current-day United States owes its heritage to all of the people who moved or already lived there, but Britain perhaps had the greatest influence. After all, even today, Americans celebrate their independence from Great Britain.
So, what are you waiting for? Dive into this exciting period of history, and learn more about how the United States became what it is today. In this book, you will discover:
• The early days of the Age of Discovery and the European navigators who opened the world to colonization
• The rivalries that took place among England, France, and Spain
• The role of religion and how it played a factor in colonization
• The establishment of the Thirteen Colonies
• A closer look at New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, including their origins and how they prospered
• How life in the colonies differs from the modern day
• The roles the Founding Fathers played and a brief look at the road to the American Revolution
• And so much more!
