Then things got weirder when his best friend, Dan Elanga, got a different superpower. But Dan was still blind.
Kayla Verdera and Aubrey Wilcosky, two girls in their middle-school special ed class, discovered they too had new superpowers. Kayla was mute and needed a walker. Aubrey lost two legs and used crutches. But they were as powerful as the boys.
What should the four friends do? Jeremy knew if the word got out, it’d be a media circus. Then they started fighting crime, as the Secret Supers. Who knew a disability could be a perfect disguise? No one would ever think of disabled kids as superheroes. Then they ran into problems they never expected.

About Murder in the Master by Judy L Murray
BACK COVER COPY:
A Chesapeake village rocked by murder
A family empire resented
A friend accused
Real estate rule #1: A dead body creates buzz. A dead body in a house for sale is never the buzz you want.
It isn’t the first-time real estate agent Helen Morrisey has found someone naked in bed while showing a house. But this one is different. One glance at the bluish cast around his lips and the vacant, staring eyes, and Helen knows developer Al Capelli is never going to sign another sales agreement.
His death is big news for a small Chesapeake water town where a family empire is built around secrets and their brash money style is resented by locals. Within days, his lover, her old friend, begs Helen to find the killer before she’s arrested for murder. Helen quickly realizes that solving a murder mystery in real life is a lot more dangerous than reading one. She decides to create her own Detection Club of expert sleuths—Miss Marple, Jessica Fletcher, Nora Charles, Agatha Raisin, and, yes, Nancy Drew to help unearth the truth.
Detective Joe McAlister recognizes Helen’s insight into back-office real estate deals and local players. And for the first time since her husband’s death, Helen meets a man who might return zingers as quick as she tosses them out. Mystery lovers hungry for a smart gutsy woman, a fast-moving plot, and an insider’s look into a business everyone talks about, but few understand, will devour this first in a series.

Determined to Persist: General Earle Wheeler, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Military’s Foiled Pursuit of Victory in Vietnam by Colonel Mark A. Viney
About Determined to Persist: General Earle Wheeler, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Military’s Foiled Pursuit of Victory in Vietnam by Colonel Mark A. Viney
Acrimony and calls for resignations over the recent US defeat in Afghanistan evoke painful memories of the Vietnam War, the nadir of civilian-military relations when the Joint Chiefs of Staff decided to resign en masse. Has history repeated itself?
Find out in “Determined to Persist,” which takes readers inside the White House, the Pentagon, and the U.S. military headquarters in Hawaii and South Vietnam while tracing the internal debates, tensions, and critical inflection points in the Vietnam War.
The longest serving Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Earle G. Wheeler was the senior military advisor to Presidents Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon. In disgust with their administrations’ disastrous Vietnam War policies, Wheeler shredded his memoirs. He died three years later. In consequence, a gaping hole has existed in understanding the Vietnam War — until now.
Using exclusive documents from the Wheeler family and others recently declassified, “Determined to Persist” overturns long-held, inaccurate perceptions of civilian-military relations and provides a fuller, more accurate representation of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s role in the Vietnam War.

What was worse, the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivores who are faster, stronger, and every bit as clever as himself.
